Danzō was the man responsible for Uzumaki Shuji's death.

The restraints had originally been placed by Hiruzen, and Uzumaki Shuji had left them untouched.

Danzō's voice trembled with desperate hope.
"Remove all his restraints and restore his mories."
Uzumaki Shuji's clone spoke calmly.
"Be ready. Don't let him cause trouble."
"Yes."
Itachi activated his Mangekyō Sharingan and stared coldly at his enemy.
"I knew my master would return for !"
Danzō's voice was filled with excitent.
Without a word, Uzumaki Shuji's clone touched Danzō's shoulder with Rule Breaker.
Clang!
The chains shattered and fell to the floor.
The sealing tags covering his head disintegrated.
Danzō froze.
Then utter despair spread across his face.
"So your mories have returned."
Uzumaki Shuji nodded.
"As expected."
"From here on, he's yours."
"Make his death as miserable as possible."
"Monster!"
"You're a monster!"
"How could Minato produce a child like you?"
"Only eight years old, yet capable of such cruelty!"
Danzō glared at Uzumaki Shuji.
Days of poor food and confinent had reduced him to a weak old man.
He no longer possessed the strength to resist.
"Then witness true horror."
"You loved Uchiha eyes so much."
"So you will die by the power of those eyes."
Itachi stepped forward.
Blood stread from the corner of his eye.
"Tsukuyomi."
Inside the illusion, Danzō endured three days and three nights of unending tornt.
When it ended, he was dead.
"Burn the body."
Uzumaki Shuji's clone nodded in approval.
Even he had to admit—it was an appropriate end.
Danzō had slaughtered countless Uchiha.
In the end, he died by the eyes he coveted most.
