Under the night sky, three figures slipped out of Konohagakure.
"Fourth, isn't it too few with only the three of us?"
Fugaku Uchiha asked, clearly uneasy.
The group was heading to face none other than Hashirama Senju and Tobirama Senju—the village's legendary founders. Yet Drake had chosen to bring only Fugaku and Minato Namikaze.
"Bringing you two is already more than enough," Drake replied calmly.
Fugaku still wasn't reassured.
"If it turns into a fight, retreat imdiately. Survival cos first."
Drake nodded. Minato only smiled—he knew Drake never went into anything unprepared.
Suspicion in the Shadows
Back in the village square, several high-ranking visitors watched the distant glow on the viewing screen fade as Drake's chakra signature left range.
Among them stood:

Ōnoki muttered:
"If those three don't co back… what then?"
The Raikage shrugged with a dangerous glint in his eye.
None of them realized that a pair of eyes was watching them from the darkness.
It was Obito Uchiha.
He clenched his fists.
"So that's why Drake eliminated … to keep here."
Obito now understood. Drake hadn't disqualified him out of cruelty—he needed soone he trusted inside the village.
"Fine. I'll guard this place."
He ford hand signs, creating a wood-style clone that vanished into the night.
Shikaku Takes Charge
Elsewhere, Shikaku Nara gathered the clan heads.
"The Fourth Hokage, the adviser Minato, and the acting leader Fugaku are all gone. That makes the temporary authority here."
Hiashi Hyūga frowned.
"You're overstepping."
"I accept that," Shikaku said. "And I'll bear any punishnt afterward—even death. But for now, the village needs order."
Silence followed.
No one objected.
Shikaku imdiately began deploying guards around the village. With foreign shinobi still inside the walls, any unrest could turn disastrous.
A Pact With the Nine-Tails
In the back mountains, Obito's wood clone appeared near a narrow ravine. Inside lay the massive form of Kurama, the Nine-Tails, fast asleep.
Obito yanked its whiskers.
Nothing.
"Hey! Wake up! Drake told to get you!"
Kurama's eyes snapped open.
"What does he want?"
Obito didn't hesitate.
"He said there's an important mission. If you help defend the village, he'll grant you one wish."
Kurama blinked.
"What's the task?"
"If war breaks out, fight with ."
Kurama's tails flicked.
"That's all?"
Then it paused, realizing the catch. A single Tailed Beast Bomb could obliterate Konoha.
"Fine. But evacuate the villagers first. I don't want to crush them by accident."
Obito grinned.
"Deal."
With that, he raced back toward the village to organize evacuation plans with the clan leaders.
