A lot of people asked questions about Hatsumi but one person caught off guard.

"I, eh… I would like to get bitten by your vampire." A man asked. He looked slightly nervous and was a bit skinny. He certainly did not look like he had blood to spare.

"Uh, why?" I asked. Did he think she needed food?

"Sorry, I should have clarified. I would like her to turn into a vampire." The man added.

I stared at the man, not sure what to say.

"She… She can turn others, right?" The man asked when I did not answer.

"Um, I suppose she could. But a vampire needs to be controlled, by law. A free vampire would be hunted and killed." Or a necromancer would take control of them. Honestly, I would bet that a lot of necromancers would try to capture them if they found a vampire.

He flinched slightly but did not leave. "I uh, I could work for you?"

I shook my head. "No, sorry. I do not need a servant and I am not turning other people into vampires."

"What if I found another necromancer? I could serve them." He suggested.

I shook my head. "No."

It was an interesting idea in general. I had never considered soone willing to beco a vampire. I also had no idea how exactly it worked. Full vampires had a core. I suspected that you had to be a mage to beco a vampire. Then again, maybe there was a way to create a core inside them? Even if possible, they would probably be a rather weak vampire.

The man left, looking disappointed. Soon he was replaced by a woman in a flashy red robe.

"Greetings! I absolutely adore Hatsumi! Can you teach how to raise a vampire?" She asked.

"You an a normal vampire, not a spellblade?" I wondered.

The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

The woman chuckled. "There is nothing normal about a vampire! I doubt most have a core large enough to beco a spellblade anyway. No, I am asking about a regular vampire. They are rather rare and most refuse to serve. But your maid? She is so adorable! I would love to have my own vampire maid!"

"I see…" I could understand the desire to create more unique undead, however I did not think it wise to just tell everyone what we did. Especially since my thods involved our circulation.

"I would offer paynt, of course. How about two platinum?" The woman offered.

"I apologise but I can't share my thod. I will say this though, you need a proper corpse, with blood. Since a vampire needs earth, water and death mana you might have to do a joint casting." I replied.

"What if I hire you for the joint casting? Or your entire group? Ten platinum." She offered.

That was a lot of money!

I shook my head. "Sorry, I can't help you there. Also, you need a tier three licence, which requires you to be a senior mage. I would recomnd that you study hard and experint yourself!"

The woman pouted and left.

"I need a break." I announced and retreated into our tent and flopped down on the cushions.

"People are weird." I complained to Helena, who was next to .

"ow." Nyx comnted from sowhere underneath the cushions.

"I heard your conversation. Becoming a vampire sounds odd." Helena agreed. "Would that really work? Could Hatsumi create a bunch of vampires?"

"Technically yes. I think she would need practice and I am not sure if it would work on everyone. I suspect there would be a good chance that so would end up as tier two vampiric undead." I replied.

"Like Bob? But he was a mage." Helena pointed out.

"He was an accident. Vampires are not completely understood but their fangs can inject a poison. Most of the ti they paralyse their prey while feeding on it. The poison uses blood magic, although it seems they have so control of the exact composition of the poison. They can also kill soone by injecting necrotic mana. However, with the right amount of mana and poison they can turn soone into an actual vampire. Obviously, Hatsumi has never done it and it's not sothing we can really try." I explained.

I sat up and looked at Hatsumi. She was standing at the front of our booth with Kaito. "It's a fascinating topic but hard for us to experint. Trying to turn a human would likely kill them and turn them into a tier two. Even if we succeeded they would have to serve, permanently."

"What if we get ambushed again?" Helena asked.

"Turning a living creature would an they rember. It would an they stay the sa. I would not want an enemy serving . For Hatsumi we used the body, but she is not the sa person." I replied.

Helena nodded. "Makes sense, although there could be advantages to turning an enemy. You could interrogate them."

"True." I admitted. "But I like my undead as my friends."

"Hey, I have an idea." Helena said, suddenly.

"Yes?"

"What if Cassie studies Hatsumi's poison? She could experint with it. Maybe we can use it for so new undead? Cassie made the blood mixture we have used to create Hatsumi. Perhaps she can create a better one. Perhaps you can use it to raise a vampire army! Muahahahah."

"I think the headmaster told rather clearly that I should not go out and create more vampires. However, Cassie experinting with Hatsumi's poison might be a good idea, especially since it should be more potent now with the spellblade runes." I mused.

"I heard poison and an evil laugh, I am in." Cassie stated as she walked over to us.

I guess I did have two unused corpses. However, any experinting would have to wait until we were back at the academy. Before that I still had to et the princess and survive the remaining conference. Actually, who was holding today's presentation? Maybe it would be interesting.
