In front of Violette and Elara was a gigantic cocoon ford from countless vines.
At this mont, Violette could no longer keep up the act of being a holy, gentle woman.
She frowned, murmuring, "What the hell is this? Has Zeka really turned into an Evil God?"
Elara, too, was startled—she had never seen anything like this before.
Suddenly, strange mories began to surface in her mind.
She clutched her head, crying out in agony, "AGH!!!"
Violette was startled, turning to look at Elara, seeing her writhing on the ground, both hands clutching her head, her mouth constantly screaming in pain.
At this point, Violette was filled with confusion and panic.
What the hell was happening? The enormous cocoon? Elara going mad?
Violette really wanted to run away, but she rembered the mission Noan had given her and decided to grit her teeth and stay.
However, her hands were now gripping her magic staff so tightly they’d turned white, and her hands trembled violently.
She edged towards the entrance of the cave, leaning her back against the wall to find so sense of security.
From this position, she could run at any mont if danger arose.
"Noan, you’ve given too difficult a mission," Violette muttered in complaint.
...
Elsewhere.
Alex was searching around, gritting his teeth as he cursed, "Damn it! Where did that bastard run off to?"
"Just like a rat, in the blink of an eye he’s hidden in a cave. Don’t let catch you, or else..."
GRAOO!!!
"What the hell?" Suddenly, a dragon’s roar rang out, making him jump, his hair standing on end, a chill running down his spine.
Yet, along with that was a blinding light radiating from his body.
A crane flew out, radiating such dazzling light that Alex had to shield his eyes.
"This energy... Could it be... Master?" Alex suddenly shouted.
Krit!!!
Suddenly, the crane let out a piercing cry, echoing throughout the entire space, then flew off into the distance and disappeared.
"Master! Wait! Master!!!" Alex called after it, but the crane had completely vanished before his eyes.
"Damn it! What the hell is going on?" Alex shouted in bewildernt. "Master? Dragon’s roar? Oy! Can soone explain to what’s happening?"
No one answered him. However, in the sky above, a crane shone with a brilliance like a second sun.
It looked off into the distance, then transford into a streak of light, shooting off in that direction.
At that mont, Violette saw Elara unconscious and frowned, but she wasn’t curious enough to help Elara.
She was here only to complete the mission Noan had given her; she had no obligation to save anyone.
Suddenly, Violette sensed sothing approaching and imdiately looked up at the sky.
"What the hell is that?" Violette shouted, instantly running out of the cave.
A blinding ray of light shot toward the cave, then entered the body of Elara, who was lying unconscious on the ground.
Whoong!
A sound like a bell ringing echoed, sending a chill down Violette’s spine, making her collapse into the snow.
The terrible cold helped her regain a bit of clarity.
She quickly stood up, turned around, and looked toward the cave.
That place was now radiating a dazzling light, as if a second sun had appeared within.
Violette looked off into the distance, then back at the cave.
She wanted to leave, but she also didn’t want to. After hesitating for a long mont, Violette finally decided to stay.
"Damn it! Noan, after I finish this mission, you’ll have to compensate tenfold for everything I’ve been through," Violette muttered angrily, her face full of discomfort and worry.
Inside the cave, the white crane dove into Elara’s body and vanished.
Magical symbols emitting a blinding light appeared all around her.
Those symbols slithered across her body like snakes.
Elara’s expression was filled with agony; she gritted her teeth, her face twisting grotesquely, sweat pouring off her as if she’d been doused in water.
After a while, Elara suddenly lay still, unmoving. The magical symbols on her body also disappeared.
She lay quietly, and it was unclear if she was alive or dead, but her stomach rose and fell slightly, proving she was still breathing.
The light gradually faded, and on her forehead, a mark resembling a pair of wings appeared, glowing with a faint white radiance, exuding a sense of divinity.
Elara slowly opened her eyes.
In those eyes, there was no longer any trace of worry, fear, or exhaustion.
Instead, what shone there was determination—cold and divine.
She slowly sat up, gazing at her hands for a long mont, murmuring, "At last... I’ve reclaid this body."
"How strange... Alex still hasn’t encountered any fate-related opportunity, so why was that seal released so soon?"
Elara’s expression now was completely the opposite of what it had been before.
At this mont, she resembled an overbearing queen, exuding an aura of nobility and authority that none could scorn.
Her skin, once mottled with bruises, had completely healed. Her long silver hair was now soft, utterly free of any dust or dirt. In fact, her hair now seed to emit a sacred silver glow.
With a wave of her hand, the filthy clothes she had been wearing vanished, replaced by a long white dress that made her look even more dazzling and beautiful.
"This can’t be!" Elara frowned and muttered, "Where is the Mirror?"
Crack! Crack! Crack!
While she was still puzzled by the disappearance of the mirror, the massive cocoon suddenly began to move.
Elara frowned, letting out a sigh. "Has the wheel of fate beco this chaotic already?"
"It seems... there is a reason I awakened so early."
"Alex, your journey will be a long one. Your master cannot pave an easier road for you."
"You... can only rely on yourself."
Having said that, Elara turned into a beam of light, flying out of the cave and soaring off into the distance, gradually disappearing into the snowy sky.
Violette watched that beam of light, then sighed, her face twisted in discomfort. "Damn it! What the hell is happening?"
"Why is everyone special except for ?"
"No! That only ans I need to cling to Noan even more, otherwise I’ll forever remain just an ordinary woman."
"In the end, I’ll beco nothing more than a plaything for the strong, trampled in the most miserable way."
Violette bit her thumbnail, worry shining in her eyes.
However, within those eyes also flickered a determination so intense, it was almost frightening.
...
Area for rank C and B Lords.
Jankos was sitting in his room, checking once more the resources he possessed.
Suddenly, as if he recalled sothing, his face twisted with anger and discomfort.
He covered his mouth, unable to stand it any longer, and rushed out of the room, vomiting repeatedly.
"Huew! Huew!"
A while later, he wiped his mouth with his sleeve, his face flushed with rage: "Damn it! Damn it!!!"
"AGH!!!" He howled in fury, his scream echoing throughout his territory, reaching even beyond its borders.
Fortunately, the territories of the lords were far apart; otherwise, others would surely have heard his howling.
"Damn it! Vylyss! Lylia! I swear... I swear I’ll make you kneel at my feet, beco my sex toys."
"AGH!!!"
Jankos thought of Vylyss and Lylia, his anger boiling so intensely his eyes turned red as if they would explode.
He could not believe that a rank B Lord—at Peak, the eldest son of such a massive clan—had been tricked by two girls.
Even more humiliating, they had fooled him into sleeping with a woman both fat and old. He would rather sleep with a pig than with that wretched woman.
No! Damn it! He didn’t even want to sleep with a pig.
That experience had beco a shadow in Jankos’s mind.
Every ti he was idle, the mory returned, making him nauseous and unable to control himself.
GRAO!!!
Suddenly, the roar of so monster echoed out, making Jankos’s heart skip a beat.
It was as if ti had frozen, his body immobilized, unable to move.
An invisible hand seed to slowly reach into his chest, gripping his heart tight.
At that mont, his shard of fate suddenly radiated a dazzling light.
