Noan heard this and looked up. There was nothing there but a path completely covered by water.
However, he also had the feeling that soone was watching him.
The feeling was very faint; if he hadn’t focused on it, he might not have noticed it.
Noan nodded and said, "I have that feeling too."
Aldric said nothing more, pulling out the sword he wore at his side, and then...
Whoosh!
He slashed out a crescent-shaped streak of light, which shot towards the ceiling.
BAM!
The streak of light collided with the water channel and then exploded. The strange thing was that when the collision occurred, only half of the water fell down before flying back up, rejoining the river flowing above their heads.
"That is..." Suddenly, Aldric spoke, his face filled with anxiety and fear.
Noan frowned, feeling confused, and asked, "What’s wrong?"
Aldric glanced at Noan. "Don’t you see anything?"
Noan shrugged and said, "Yes, I see water."
Aldric shook his head and sighed, then said, "Let’s go, don’t stay here long."
Having said that, without waiting for Noan’s reply, Aldric sheathed his sword and walked forward.
Noan felt puzzled. He suddenly looked up, and it was still just a river, yet the feeling of soone watching him grew clearer and clearer.
He frowned, staring intently at the spot, but couldn’t see anything.
Finally, unable to suppress his curiosity, he decided to use magical energy to investigate.
Noan closed his eyes, then let his energy flow out, spreading around him.
"No!" Aldric suddenly shouted, but it was too late.
As his energy reached the river above his head, he suddenly saw many pairs of eyes.
"Ha!" Noan opened his eyes wide in surprise, his forehead covered in sweat.
Thump! Thump! Thump!
At this mont, the space vibrated violently, and the river above his head also shook as if boiling.
Splash! Splash! Splash!
Just then, countless insects flew out from the river above his head.
"Killer bees? No, not just killer bees, there are many other types of insects too." Noan was startled to see a swarm of insects rushing out of the river above his head.
Countless pairs of eyes emitted green light, so many that they ford a wall of green light enveloping the entire space.
Even though the insects were tiny, seeing this sight sent shivers of fear down Noan’s spine.
"Run!" Aldric shouted.
Noan imdiately used spatial magic, jumping to Aldric’s side.
"Do you know where we need to go?" Noan grabbed Aldric’s shoulder, asking urgently.
Aldric didn’t answer, only nodded.
Seeing this, Noan imdiately used spatial magic, and both he and Aldric vanished.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The swarm of insects rushed towards where the two had just stood, colliding with the water and the stone path. The sound of impact echoed continuously, as if a tsunami had just crashed into the place.
Unable to find them, the insects imdiately dispersed, then flew everywhere in search.
"Ah!" Noan sighed with relief as he teleported to another location.
However, this place was no different from where he and Aldric had been monts ago.
It was still a stone path, surrounded by water and dark clouds, with a river still suspended above their heads as if hung upside down.
Aldric looked around, maintaining his vigilance, not daring to be careless.
Noan was different; he felt that if he continued to use his spatial ability, he might be drained of energy and unable to move further.
Aldric looked at Noan, smiling disdainfully. "You’re truly foolish. This space has countless seals, and it’s also a space filled with chaotic energy."
"Although your spatial ability is powerful, it requires an extrely large amount of energy to maintain."
"Here, using your spatial ability is like throwing a pebble into the ocean—it’s aningless. It will only consu ten tis more energy than outside."
Noan was startled to hear this, his eyes wide with disbelief as he looked at Aldric. However, he imdiately believed what Aldric had just said.
He had indeed used his spatial ability to teleport, and just as Aldric said, it consud a trendous amount of his energy.
Now, just one teleportation had cost him nearly a quarter of the energy he possessed.
If he continued to use his teleportation ability, he feared...
Noan sighed, feeling that his greatest advantage had been almost neutralized.
Krit! Krit! Krit!
Suddenly, piercing cries echoed everywhere. The surrounding clouds vibrated violently, accompanied by shimring green lights.
"That’s..." Noan was startled, realizing that this place seed to be surrounded by the insects as well.
Aldric frowned and said, "Summon your soldiers; we’ll have to fight here."
"Soldiers? How can I summon soldiers here?" Noan asked, confused.
Aldric looked at Noan with eyes full of disbelief. "You... you haven’t reached Level 7 yet?"
"This..." Noan said, "I’ve only reached Level 5."
"You..."
Krit!
Aldric was about to say sothing more when the insects went berserk, forming a tsunami-like wave that crashed towards them.
"Tsk!" Aldric clicked his tongue. He thrust his long spear into the ground and roared, "Heed my call... Dragon Knights, fight for justice!"
BAM!
Imdiately, countless cracks spread from where Aldric’s long spear touched the ground. These cracks glowed with dazzling golden light, spreading out like a spiderweb.
BAM! BAM! BAM!
The cracks shattered, revealing another dinsion. From within that strange, golden-lit space, heavily armored knights wielding long spears appeared.
Five knights in white heavy armor, wearing dragon-headed helts, held a long spear in one hand and a heavy shield in the other.
The large, over 2.5-ter tall bodies of these Dragon Knights radiated a dazzling golden aura.
Even though Noan wasn’t the target of these knights, he could feel an imnse pressure when facing them.
At this mont, Noan secretly feared, ’It seems... Aldric wasn’t using his full power when he fought .’
’If he had summoned these Dragon Knights earlier, I would have lost very quickly. But... why didn’t he summon these knights sooner?’
Noan felt both anxious and confused.
But at this mont, Aldric’s words helped Noan find the answer: "I can’t move when controlling these knights. You go ahead; I’ll follow."
Noan frowned upon hearing this. Indeed, Aldric could only stand still, his hand tightly gripping the long spear radiating golden light, like a statue.
"Aren’t you afraid I’ll attack you?" Noan suddenly gave an evil smile. "Now that you can’t move, I only need to use my teleportation ability once to finish you off."
Aldric glanced at Noan, snorting in disdain. "Huh!"
Noan waved his hand, and Abyss Cube transford into a sword. Then, he walked over to Aldric, smiling, "I’m not the type of person to do sothing like that anyway."
Aldric frowned, though a different emotion seed to flicker in his eyes.
"Can these Dragon Knights stop those insects?" Noan asked now.
"Yes, but not for too long. There are simply too many of them," Aldric said. "If we don’t find the key to get through this place, I fear we’ll be overwheld by these insects."
Noan took a deep breath, then said, "How long can you hold out?"
"Perhaps..." Aldric frowned, ntally calculating, then said, "About ten minutes. After ten minutes, I’ll have to find another way out of here."
Noan nodded and said, "I’ll try."
He suddenly swung his sword, and then...
Whoong!
A bell-like sound resonated, and a beam of light shot out, surging towards the sea of insects like a terrifying laser from a sci-fi movie.
Not stopping there, the laser beam swept across the entire swarm of insects.
BAM! BAM! BAM!
Explosions continuously rang out. Although it only destroyed a small portion of the insects, their formation was broken, collapsing to the ground like a wave.
"Wait for a mont." After finishing, Noan closed his eyes as if sensing sothing.
Aldric nodded slightly, then controlled the five Dragon Knights through the long spear he held.
Ha! Ha! Ha!
The Dragon Knights roared, moving into a horizontal line, shielding them.
They raised their shields in front, forming a sturdy wall.
Thump! Thump! Thump! Thump!
Aldric gritted his teeth as the insect wave crashed into them. The five shields emitted dazzling light, forming a protective do that held back the insects.
However, the sheer number of insects was overwhelming, as if a truly terrifying tsunami was pressing down on him.
Crack! Crack!
Suddenly, countless cracks appeared in the protective do.
"Damn it!" Aldric shouted, his long spear radiating even more dazzling light.
The cracks in the light do slowly began to heal, but before they could fully nd, other cracks appeared.
Aldric gritted his teeth, looking at Noan, who sat still on the ground like a statue, then shouted, "Hurry up!"
At this mont, Noan was imrsed in a strange space.
Around him were stone pillars, but what was odd was that these pillars appeared on the ground, yet also on the ceiling.
As if this space had two gravitational directions.
"That is..." Noan was startled, seeing a gigantic eye before him, filled with imnse hatred and terrifying killing intent.
"Abyss Lord?"
