Everything at the camp was in order, which put Feng Shan’s mind at ease.

Aside from the four old n who loved to stir up minor trouble and cause the occasional mishap, the overall operations were running smoothly.

The reviews from tourists visiting the Crown Territory were also quite good.

Yves, in particular, had arranged everything in perfect order. He even organized trips for so of the tourists to visit Kivalina and Kaktovik Town.

Tom had assembled a fleet of transport planes.

It was dedicated to providing a steady stream of various daily supplies to the camp, ensuring its normal operations.

As for the Bear Tribe’s migration to the camp, Jenny had expressed her unconditional support and was organizing staff to welco them.

After the call, he casually tossed his phone aside and leaned back, his back resting comfortably against the headboard.

The room fell silent. Feng Shan thought to himself, ’Well, I’m free right now anyway. Might as well go out for a walk.’

「...」

He walked out of the hotel. The afternoon sun was perfect, its warmth spilling over him.

Following the route the front desk staff had described, Feng Shan first passed through a lush forest.

He followed a small, winding path through the forest and, before long, found the dog park the staff had ntioned.

Inside the enclosure, dogs of all sizes were playing and roughhousing with each other and their owners.

A mobile hot dog cart was parked by the side of the road. The fragrant aroma of hot dogs drifted through the air, enough to make anyone’s stomach start to rumble.

A small line had already ford in front of the cart, everyone eagerly waiting to taste the delicious hot dogs.

Feng Shan joined the line and paid $7.90 for a double-sausage hot dog.

Handmade sausages were SIZZLING in the cart’s griddle. Hot oil danced rrily, coating the sausages and turning their skins a crispy, golden brown.

The vendor skillfully picked up a bun, placed the grilled sausages inside, and then, according to Feng Shan’s preferences, added fresh lettuce, tomato slices, shredded onion, and a delicious sauce.

And just like that, a tempting double-sausage hot dog was ready.

Feng Shan took the hot dog and eagerly took a bite. A rich dley of flavors exploded in his mouth—the savoriness of the at, the freshness of the vegetables, and the tang of the sauce all mixed together.

It tasted pretty good.

Hot dog in hand, he slowly walked over to a grassy spot and sat down. It was the perfect location, allowing him to bask in the sun while having a clear view of the lively scene of the dogs playing in the enclosure.

WHIMPER!

Just then, a whimper ca from the nearby woods. The sound was rather pitiful, as if complaining about so injustice.

A mont later, a small, mottled dog erged from the trees.

Its fur was a bit dirty and matted; it had clearly been a stray for so ti.

Perhaps drawn by the sll of the hot dog, the little mottled dog hesitantly trotted up to Feng Shan. It slowly raised its head, its eyes holding a pitiful expression, like a starving child begging for food.

Feng Shan glanced at it. He hadn’t wanted to get involved with a stray dog.

’He just wanted to enjoy his hot dog in peace.’

But when his eyes t the little dog’s pleading gaze again, his heart instantly softened. He simply couldn’t stand up to those eyes filled with such longing.

After a mont’s hesitation, he reluctantly made the sacrifice, tearing off half of his unfinished hot dog and gently tossing it over.

"Go on, eat up. That’s all you’re getting. I haven’t eaten either."

The little dog snatched the hot dog and ran off to the side. It chewed quickly, swallowing the piece in just a few bites. Afterward, it licked its chops, still not satisfied, and looked back at Feng Shan with hopeful eyes.

"It’s gone, I’m out too!" Feng Shan stuffed the rest of the hot dog into his mouth in a couple of quick bites, his cheeks bulging.

"King! King!" Just then, a girl’s voice called out from the other side of the woods.

Hearing the call, the little dog imdiately responded with a WOOF WOOF WOOF.

A mont later, two girls followed the sound and erged from the woods. The little dog wagged its tail and circled them affectionately.

"Have you been digging through the trash again? I told you not to, those big dogs will hurt you." A girl with brown hair crouched down. Noticing the sauce on the little dog’s muzzle, she scolded it gently while pulling a bag of dog food from her shoulder bag and pouring so onto the grass.

"Trish," the other girl, who appeared to be Indigenous, whispered, nodding toward the hot dog wrapper in Feng Shan’s hand.

"Oh, I’m so sorry, sir." The brown-haired girl, Trish, followed her friend’s gaze. Seeing the wrapper in Feng Shan’s hand and his slightly awkward expression, she instantly understood and scrambled to her feet to apologize.

Feng Shan just gave a slight wave of his hand.

He was indicating that it was no big deal; after all, he’d only given the little dog half a hot dog. It was nothing to make a fuss about.

Unexpectedly, however, several more stray dogs erged from who-knows-where. As if they had slled the food, they all gathered around the two girls.

Pairs of longing eyes were fixed on the dog food in the girls’ hands. They let out occasional low whimpers, looking utterly pathetic.

Seeing this, the two girls didn’t hesitate. They both pulled out more pre-prepared dog food from their bags, carefully divided it into portions, and placed it in front of each of the strays.

The mont they saw the food, the stray dogs imdiately sward it and began to wolf it down.

However, the commotion attracted the attention of the pet dogs playing inside the dog park. Slling the scent of dog food wafting in from outside the enclosure, they all ran to the fence and began barking at the strays.
