On the icy tundra, three White Wolves moved with lithe agility at the head of the party.

From ti to ti, they would run off, whimpering at patches of hollow-sounding snow to warn of danger.

Once Feng Shan and the others had circumvented the hazard, the White Wolves would run back to the front of the line.

If they ran too far ahead, they would obediently wait in place, their gazes fixed on Feng Shan, their eyes filled with patience and anticipation.

When Feng Shan drew near, they would gently shake the snowflakes from their fur and continue running forward, as if they knew their mission was to both lead the way and not leave him behind.

The party crossed a stretch of tundra and arrived at a mountain range.

The White Wolves seed to have discovered sothing and charged into a sparse wood of short trees, letting out a series of warning barks.

Feng Shan and Nash approached the woods.

In a clearing lay the corpse of a reindeer, similarly devoured until only a layer of skin remained. This ti, even the small bones hadn’t been spared; only the large leg bones and the spine were left.

The ground was scattered with wolf prints of all sizes.

After crouching down to inspect them, Nash’s expression turned grave. He pointed to one of the tracks. "A lot of wolves. The Alpha Wolf is huge."

Following Nash’s finger, Feng Shan saw a wolf print in the soft snow as large as a man’s palm.

’A paw as big as a hand.’

’You can just imagine how big that wolf must be.’

’No wonder it’s the leader of the Wolf Pack.’

Four days had passed. Feng Shan perford another divination for the Wolf Pack’s direction, pressing one hand on the wolf print while his other hand quickly tied divinatory knots in a grass rope.

A profound and mysterious feeling welled up inside him.

The Wolf Pack seed to be within the range of his divination, and very close.

’Finally got you!!!’

Feng Shan snatched up his Type 56 carbine and gazed in the pack’s direction. "Let’s go. They’re just ahead."

"Just ahead" turned into a trek from morning until afternoon. The two n were utterly exhausted, and even the three White Wolves’ paces had slowed.

The afterglow of the setting sun spilled across the snow, stretching their shadows long behind them.

Yet, the premonition from his divination grew stronger and stronger.

Feng Shan knew he had caught up to the Wolf Pack. To avoid being discovered by the cunning wolves, the party cautiously made its way downwind to the foot of a snowy mountain.

Leaving the White Wolves and the three little ones behind, the two n took their rifles and carefully climbed to the mountain ridge.

He pulled out his binoculars.

Through the lenses, on an open snowy expanse at the base of the mountain, a massive pack of North Arican Gray Wolves was hunting a herd of more than a dozen reindeer.

Feng Shan did a quick count and was shocked to find that the Wolf Pack numbered over sixty.

At that mont, the massive Wolf Pack was launching its attack on the reindeer herd.

They coordinated with tacit understanding, like a tightly-knit combat team. Every wolf knew its duty and position.

So wolves feigned attacks from the front to draw the herd’s attention. Others flanked from the sides to cut off the reindeers’ retreat. Still others drove them from behind, forcing the herd toward the encirclent.

With each flank and pincer movent, the reindeers’ room to maneuver shrank, like a net slowly tightening, giving them no chance to catch their breath.

The once-open snowfield was becoming increasingly narrow for the reindeer herd under the Wolf Pack’s pressure.

The reindeers’ panic intensified, their steps growing more erratic. They wanted to charge but couldn’t break through; they wanted to run but couldn’t escape. They could only watch helplessly as the circle of wolves tightened bit by bit.

The only thing the panic-stricken herd could do was to shield the young reindeer in the center.

The bull reindeer held their heads high, pointing their antlers at the Wolf Pack in a last-ditch effort to resist. The does, anwhile, huddled tightly around the young, forming a protective barrier with their bodies.

Just then, a black-furred wolf, half a size larger than the other gray wolves, shot out from the pack. It moved as fast as the wind, a black bolt of lightning streaking across the snow.

It then charged the reindeer herd at an astonishing speed, sinking its teeth into the neck of a bull.

Its sharp fangs dug deep into the reindeer’s flesh. The bull let out a pitiful cry, but the black wolf was rciless, forcefully dragging it away from the herd.

The bull struggled with all its might, its hooves kicking wildly in the snow as it tried to break free from the wolf’s sharp teeth, but it was all in vain.

The black wolf pinned the bull beneath it and used its sharp fangs to rip open the reindeer’s throat. A torrent of fresh blood gushed out, instantly staining a patch of snow crimson.

The thick, tallic scent of blood spread through the cold air, stimulating the senses and nerves of every wolf.

The sll of blood caused a brief pause in the encircling Wolf Pack. In that fleeting mont, the reindeer herd keenly seized its opportunity.

The leader of the herd let out a high-pitched call, issuing the command to break out.

The entire herd instantly rallied together and, like a surging tide, charged toward the gap in the wolves’ line.

The black wolf dropped the bull, let out a howl, and blocked the gap with the force of a thunderbolt. The fur on its body stood on end, and a fierce, chilling aura radiated from it.

The lead reindeer, which had been charging forward courageously, skidded to a fearful halt under the pressure of the black wolf’s powerful presence.

With that one stop, the entire herd halted as well. The hope that had just surged within them was instantly shattered, and they were once again trapped within the Wolf Pack’s encirclent.

The surrounding wolves reacted quickly, tightening the circle again and sealing off all possible escape routes for the reindeer herd.

"Khilla," Nash whispered, raising his rifle. It was the first ti he had ever seen such a well-coordinated Wolf Pack.

Opening fire on the Wolf Pack at this mont would undoubtedly be extrely dangerous.

If such a massive pack were to be provoked, the consequences would be severe.

Imagine dozens of wolves pouncing at once; two rifles wouldn’t be nearly enough to hold them back.

Feng Shan narrowed his eyes.

Wolves live in family groups, with mbers connected by blood.

A single Wolf Pack usually doesn’t exceed fifteen mbers.

But there are exceptions. And sotis, when these exceptions occur, they are not just shocking, but terrifying.

A Wolf Pack composed of over sixty North Arican Gray Wolves could truly be called a Super Wolf Pack.

A Super Wolf Pack like this was an absolute, nightmare-level disaster for the wildlife of the Far North Tundra. It was also a disaster for the Crown Territory and for the human settlents of the Far North Tundra.

Because wolves are predators, they need enough prey to survive. When a pack’s size exceeds its normal limits, its food consumption increases exponentially.

Driven by hunger, a Super Wolf Pack like this would unscrupulously attack any animal it saw to fill its belly. Whether animal or human, in their eyes, there was no difference. Everything was food.

Feng Shan silently made his decision.

’First, I’ll take out my phone and record so evidence. After all, if word gets out that I’ve killed so many North Arican Gray Wolves, soone is bound to make a big deal out of it.’

He activated the cara function, and the lens began to record the intense hunt.

The Super Wolf Pack’s hunt was nearing its end. Annihilating a small herd of a dozen or so reindeer was no difficult task for them.

The snowfield was a chaotic ss, covered in reindeer blood and jumbled hoofprints. The overturned earth greedily absorbed the nutrients, preparing to nurture new vegetation in the coming year.

The entire reindeer herd now lay in pools of their own blood. So were still twitching in their final monts, their eyes filled with despair and terror.

A bloody feast was about to begin.
