Now reading: Chapter 159 159: If You’re Talking About That, Then We’re No from League of Legends: The Bastard Prince of Demacia, a Action novel by Razeil.

The next day.

As the sky outside gradually brightened, Luke woke up right on ti.

Because he'd slept so well last night, he even had a smile on his face when he opened his eyes.

He checked the light outside, then glanced at the clock.

It was only 6:30 a.m.

If he did the math, he'd only slept six and a half hours. Normally, he averaged around eight.

He lay on his back, staring at the ceiling for a few seconds, lost in thought.

Not a trace of sleepiness. So Luke slowly sat up, stretched, and decided he wasn't going back to bed.

Even though it was technically early fall, the weather still couldn't quite let go of sumr.

One day it suddenly got hot, the next it cooled down again.

Today was one of the hotter days. Even in the early morning, Luke felt a little stuffy.

So he figured he'd go outside and catch so cooler air.

He glanced at the calendar and rembered he had a lot to do today.

For example, he needed to go to the Royal Academy.

This trip to Edessa had originally been for the hunting competition, but because the cult caused trouble, the event got cut short.

Still, that didn't cancel Luke's results—his first place still counted.

First place was worth one hundred credits. With every five credits exchangeable for one day of leave, that ant he could cash out a full twenty days off.

So he still needed to go handle the paperwork at the Academy.

Just thinking about how he wouldn't have to go to class for the next twenty days almost made him laugh out loud.

After changing, he went downstairs.

Vayne and Frey were already up, doing morning training in the backyard a bit farther out.

They were far enough away that they weren't bothering Luke.

The other girls weren't here yet, though they'd probably arrive soon.

Luke washed up, then headed into the kitchen. Since he'd eaten a late-night al yesterday, he wasn't especially hungry this morning.

So he decided on a lighter breakfast.

Mostly porridge and soup—things that needed ti to simr. But it was still early, so there was plenty of ti.

After working for a bit, he got several different pots going, then told Yurna to keep an eye on them.

Luke, anwhile, wandered toward the front yard at an unhurried pace.

During that ti, Sona, Kahina, and Quinn also arrived.

"Good morning, Your Highness!"

After greeting him, Kahina and Quinn joined the morning training group in the back.

Sona, as always, kept refining her music. She sat there with a calm, dignified serenity, as if she belonged in a painting.

Even at breakfast ti, she was a pretty great view.

Luke watched for a mont, then happily sank into the rocking chair and stared up at the sky, doing absolutely nothing.

He was the type who enjoyed doing nothing. Even just zoning out made him happy.

And if ti allowed, he could do it for hours.

Before long, Fiora arrived too. Today, the duelist was dressed in a crisp white outfit that made her look even more untouchable than usual.

"Morning," Luke greeted casually.

"Morning." Fiora's cool gaze swept over Luke. She answered in the sa cool tone and headed toward the backyard.

Luke stayed sprawled there, unmoving.

A while later, Miss Crownguard finally wandered in through the gate.

She looked completely drained. Her pale face had two very obvious dark circles—one look and you could tell she hadn't slept well.

Luke's smile deepened. "Good morning, Miss Crownguard."

"Good your ass…" Lux lifted her head and shot him a resentful look.

The mont she saw that infuriating grin on his face, anger flared inside her.

She gritted her teeth and marched over. "It's all because of you! You kept ssing with and I had to stay up doing howork. I slept, like, two or three hours!"

She looked like she wanted to bite his head off, which actually made Luke a little nervous.

He imdiately stood up and got ready—if things went even slightly sideways, he was leaving.

But halfway over, Lux's montum collapsed. Her posture got weaker and weaker, like she truly didn't have any energy left.

The instant she saw the rocking chair, she flopped onto it, closed her eyes, and mumbled, "I'm sleeping a little more…"

Luke looked at her. "If you're that tired, why not sleep longer at ho?"

Lux opened her eyes again and glared at him. "If I sleep in, I won't get breakfast."

She was struggling too, okay?

If it weren't for breakfast, who would force themselves out of bed before seven in the morning?

After saying that, she closed her eyes again.

Luke laughed softly.

Clearly, he'd underestimated a foodie's willpower.

Soon, faint little snores drifted from the rocking chair.

Luke glanced over. Her sleeping face was absurdly cute—like a kitten.

And her dreams ca fast. He had no idea what she dread about, but her lips soon curved into a sweet little smile.

Luke leaned back, looking at the hazy morning sky, and rembered sothing. In his mind, he spoke quietly.

"Check in."

[Check-in successful.]

[Congratulations, Host: Basic Skill Upgrade Card x1.]

[Congratulations, Host: Max-Level Common Random Skill Card x1.]

[Items stored in System Inventory. Please check and use at your discretion.]

Hearing the system ssages, Luke shifted his focus to the inventory.

Another max-level random skill card.

He couldn't help feeling curious about what he'd get this ti.

Before that, he thought, Use the upgrade card—upgrade Willow Sway in the Returning Wind.

[Basic Skill Upgrade Card used successfully.]

[Skill: Willow Sway in the Returning Wind has been upgraded to LV4 (Integrated Mastery).]

A surge of insight flashed through him. After a short mont, Luke let the sensation fade.

His understanding of Willow Sway in the Returning Wind deepened further.

And his footwork improved a bit too.

Among Luke's common skills, Willow Sway in the Returning Wind was one of the more useful ones.

Most importantly, it was also a component skill for Godspeed Hundredfold Steps.

Then Luke continued in his mind, Use the random skill card.

[Max-Level Common Random Skill Card used successfully.]

[Congratulations, Host: Common Skill—Swift Thunder Swordplay LV9 (Return to Simplicity).]

[Detecting learnable skill: Swift Thunder Swordplay LV9. Learn?]

"Learn."

The mont Luke answered—

A massive flood of information poured into his mind. It was even more than the martial arts skill he'd gotten last ti.

It felt like he'd been dragged into a separate world, one with nothing but an endless training platform stretching into the distance.

And there he was, holding a longsword, practicing day after day, year after year.

As ti passed, his swordplay grew deeper, more refined—his swings faster and faster, until each strike seed to carry the faint rumble of thunder.

That near-real sensation filled Luke with a strange sense of completeness.

As his understanding sharpened, an aura began to rise off him.

It was razor-sharp. As it climbed, a gust of wind even stirred around him.

Lux felt it too. Half-asleep, she cracked her eyes open and looked at Luke beside her.

He was… figuring out sothing weird again.

The next second, Lux rolled over and went right back to sleep, completely at ease.

In the backyard, that newly forming, minor-stage sword intent was even more obvious.

Fiora, who had been striking a practice dummy, felt it imdiately.

She stopped mid-motion and looked toward the front yard.

That edge in the air—like a brand-new kind of sword intent.

Her cool eyes flickered. She didn't even need to guess who it ca from.

Front yard.

As the insights from Swift Thunder Swordplay settled, Luke slowly opened his eyes, feeling great.

Swift Thunder Swordplay was "only" a common skill, but among common skills, it was absolutely a good one.

And a common skill at Return to Simplicity didn't necessarily lose to a higher-tier skill.

Of course, that depended on what you were comparing.

Still, after learning it, Luke was very satisfied.

Especially since it ca with a minor-stage Swift Thunder sword intent as a bonus.

For a common skill, that was basically the ceiling.

"You figured out another sword intent?" Fiora's voice ca as footsteps approached.

"Not just that." Luke turned slightly, smiling. "I also figured out new sword techniques."

"…?" Even Fiora couldn't help the look on her face.

Her eyes practically said, I don't believe you.

"Co on," Luke said. "Let show you."

Seeing her expression, Luke stood up from the rocking chair, hands behind his back, looking like a smug old master.

Fiora studied his back for a mont, then followed him.

They headed into the backyard.

Luke grabbed a long blade and held it in hand.

"Ready?"

Fiora noticed his grip was different from usual. She raised her rapier and stood a bit farther away, watching him.

Kahina, Vayne, Quinn, and Frey also noticed the two of them facing off and imdiately got interested, gathering around to watch.

"Get ready," Luke said calmly.

Then he moved.

In the next instant, he launched at Fiora with a first strike—fast and fierce.

With the sword intent layered onto the blade, the attack carried a faintly domineering pressure.

It really was new.

Not like his usual wind-based style.

This swordplay looked more direct and plain, but the pressure it created didn't drop at all.

A flash of surprise crossed Fiora's eyes. She lifted her rapier and blocked, then imdiately countered with a thrust.

Luke had expected it and blocked as well.

Then he stopped holding back and unleashed Swift Thunder Swordplay in full.

The four watching stared with curiosity as Luke's new sword techniques flowed one into the next.

At Return to Simplicity, Swift Thunder Swordplay ca in relentless chains—fast and heavy, like rolling thunder.

It didn't look as flashy or stylish as his wind-based swordplay.

But each unadorned strike, stacked together, brought Fiora no less pressure than the wind style ever had.

Plain didn't an weak.

As they exchanged blows, Fiora quickly realized Luke's understanding of this new swordplay was already at a very high level.

And she was sure—this truly was new.

At the very least, she'd never seen it in Demacia, and she'd never seen Luke use it before.

So he really had "figured it out" just now?

With no trigger? No buildup?

Looking at Luke, Fiora felt numb inside, yet the surprise still didn't fade.

She'd always known Luke's talent was absurd.

After all, in just three months, he'd gone from that slightly clumsy frog-swordman phase to surpassing her.

And that wind-based swordplay had reached its current level during that sa stretch.

The most ridiculous part?

He almost never trained on purpose.

And now he was lying in a chair and casually "figuring out" a whole new swordplay.

Calling that talent "exaggerated" didn't even begin to cover it.

It ant that if Luke wanted to, he could found a school any day, spread this sword style widely, and earn endless respect.

After this spar, Fiora could confidently say the new style wasn't weak at all.

Its ceiling might be limited, but its fundantals were extrely solid.

Creating sword techniques wasn't unheard of.

Across history, plenty of people had developed their own styles—otherwise, where would all the different sword schools co from?

What shocked Fiora was that even those styles usually needed generations of refinent to beco complete.

House Laurent's own swordsmanship was the product of ancestors improving and polishing it again and again.

Yet Luke's techniques, strike by strike, already looked remarkably finished.

She sighed inwardly.

Today, Fiora learned sothing very real:

Comparing people to people could drive you insane.

And with that thought, she suddenly lost the desire to keep sparring. She found an opening, disengaged cleanly, and stopped.

Luke stopped too and looked over. "Done already?"

"Fighting you is pointless." Fiora's cool gaze swept over him.

She honestly didn't know why she'd ever sought him out in the first place.

Was it just to torture herself?

Back then, she'd wanted to spar with Luke all the ti.

Now she'd suddenly lost the interest.

Her ntal resilience was strong—if it weren't, living around this guy every day would've driven her mad.

Even so, she needed to minimize the odds of getting irritated by comparison.

"Out of nowhere…" Luke felt like he was being rejected. He asked, "So how is the swordplay?"

Fiora thought for a mont. "It's very good. The sequences connect tightly, the fundantals are solid. It's fast, it hits hard, and it balances offense and defense. The ceiling doesn't look especially high, but overall, it's a strong style."

Hearing Fiora's evaluation, Luke smiled.

That was Fiora for you.

She saw the core traits of Swift Thunder Swordplay from a single spar.

For a common-tier skill, Swift Thunder Swordplay was absolutely sothing he could show off.

Then Fiora asked, "Have you decided what to call it?"

Luke replied, "Swift Thunder Swordplay. What do you think?"

"Swift Thunder Swordplay…" Fiora repeated softly, then smiled. "It fits."

When the sword intent rolled through it, the style really did feel like thunder—quick, relentless, and strong.

Fiora had seen many sword techniques, but very few truly impressed her.

Back at the training camp, Luke's wind style had been one.

Now, Swift Thunder Swordplay was another.

She'd even tried learning the wind style when Luke taught it to Miss Crownguard, but she never once felt that "wind intent."

aning she simply didn't have compatibility with it.

With her talent, if she couldn't even grasp the basic intent, then she truly wasn't suited for that style.

But with Swift Thunder Swordplay, she felt real interest.

Over the years, she'd studied other styles privately, absorbing anything useful into refining her own Unrivaled Swordplay.

Swift Thunder Swordplay focused on speed first, power second.

And Unrivaled Swordplay also hinged on speed—the faster the thrust, the more terrifying it beca.

So Fiora looked at Luke and said plainly, "I want to learn it."

Seeing the straightforward desire in her eyes, Luke nodded with a grin. "Sure. When I've got ti, I'll teach you."

"Your Highness, too!" Kahina raised her hand, eyes shining.

Even Quinn and Vayne, watching Luke's smooth technique flow, looked tempted.

They specialized in long-range combat, which ant their close-quarters skills were always a little weaker.

Learning a solid close-range sword style would definitely boost their overall strength.

And just like that, the Swift Thunder Swordplay training class was born.

Of course, it still wasn't starting today.

Yurna walked over and said, "Your Highness, the soup is ready."

"Alright," Luke said, returning the weapon to the rack. "Then let's eat!"

In the dining room—

Lux sat in her seat looking dazed, her face blank like her soul was slightly missing.

She'd woken up mid-nap, and now she was exhausted beyond belief.

But no matter how tired she was, her eating speed didn't slow down at all.

Luke had made several kinds of porridge and also stead a few different flavors of stuffed breakfast biscuits.

Lux held one in her left hand, half-asleep, chewing as she fought off the urge to collapse.

The mont the hot, fragrant bite hit her mouth, she perked up a little, eyes lighting up. "So good!"

Those breakfast biscuits were like healing items.

Every bite restored her spirit.

She ate quickly, but her manners weren't rushed at all—very clearly noble upbringing. And paired with that blissful expression…

Even soone just watching would suddenly feel hungry.

She made everything look delicious.

Of course, that was also because Luke's cooking was outrageously good.

After several biscuits, Lux felt a little stuffed, so she quickly scooped up a spoonful of sweet vanilla rice pudding.

Warm, silky sweetness slid down her throat into her stomach, spreading a gentle heat.

Instantly, it soothed the battered soul of a girl who'd stayed up too late.

This morning, Miss Crownguard's combat power was still as terrifying as ever.

She ate six biscuits by herself.

And these weren't tiny little ones—Luke's were the size of his palm.

Every ti Luke saw this, he felt genuine admiration for blondie's incredible appetite.

After breakfast, it was about ti to head to the Royal Academy.

In the carriage—

Luke and Lux sat on the right side.

When you're full, it's the easiest ti to get sleepy.

Only a few minutes passed before the "breakfast buff" wore off completely.

The road got a bit bumpy, and the carriage rocked gently. With the wheels rolling in that steady rhythm that was basically hypnosis—

Lux yawned again and again. Her eyelids grew heavier. Sitting there, her body swayed with the carriage.

Then the carriage jolted lightly once more, and she tipped over to the left—straight into Luke.

Luke watched her fall and, after one second of thought, didn't move.

Lux ended up with her head on his lap.

Maybe she didn't even realize it. She made a small sound, adjusted into a comfortable position, and very quickly her breathing beca long and even—sleeping deeply.

That "fall asleep instantly" skill was honestly just like Luke's.

He looked down at her sleepy little face, then shifted his gaze to the window.

Thirty minutes later—

The carriage stopped in front of the Royal Academy.

Inside, Lux was still sleeping peacefully.

Luke watched students streaming through the gates, then looked back at Lux.

Seeing that cute sleeping face, he showed absolutely no rcy and reached out to pinch her cheek.

"Ow…" Lux complained in her sleep, sounding wronged.

Luke clearly didn't hold back at all.

She woke up from the pain, blinking blearily, her big eyes still full of confusion.

Then she sat up, rubbing her right cheek. "What are you doing?!"

"Waking you up," Luke replied.

Lux covered her cheek and glared at him resentfully. "Couldn't you wake up like a normal person?"

Luke continued, "You were dead asleep. I called your na like three tis and you didn't react. This was the only way."

"Liar. You definitely didn't call ." Lux stared at him, completely certain.

So Luke said smoothly, "Actually, I did it so you'd be in a better state for learning. You should appreciate my sincere intentions."

"Appreciate my ass!" Lux gritted her teeth. "You did it on purpose!"

Luke looked at her calmly. "Does Miss Crownguard know she drools when she sleeps?"

That one lazy sentence instantly extinguished Lux's anger.

She froze, then looked down.

On Luke's pant leg, there was a glossy wet patch.

In the next second, Lux's face turned bright red at a visible speed.

"I—I—I…" She couldn't even form words. Mortified, she practically fled out of the carriage.

Even after stepping down, her cheeks and even her ears were still burning. With that shy, flustered expression and those shimring eyes…

The unusual sight made quite a few classmates stare for a second.

Today, Miss Crownguard wasn't as aggressively lively as usual, but sohow looked even more charming.

Of course, none of them knew—

Lux, drowning in sha, wanted nothing more than to find a hole in the ground and vanish.

Drooling.

She—Lux—drooled in her sleep?!

This had to be the first ti in her entire life.

And that jerk caught her red-handed.

It was over.

How was she supposed to face anyone now?

She stumbled into the classroom in a daze.

After sitting for a bit, it wasn't long before she noticed Luke walking in through the back door.

Her gaze dropped on reflex toward his legs, and the warmth she'd finally gotten under control surged back into her face.

But when she saw there was no visible stain anymore, she let out a quiet breath of relief.

Then she noticed Luke looking her way.

Lux imdiately looked away, guilty as if she'd committed a cri. Even after Luke sat beside her, she was quietly praying for a teor to fall out of the sky and erase his mory.

But when she realized Luke sat there for a while without saying anything, she relaxed again.

Maybe this would just… pass.

Just as she was thinking that, Luke leaned close to her ear and whispered like a devil.

"I'm going to dine out on this secret for the rest of your life."

"—!" Lux made a small choking sound, her face turning red, then pale, and her eyes filling with despair.

It was over.

Everything was over.

Of course it wouldn't pass.

Once this bastard caught her on the spot, there was no universe where he'd let it go.

Lux suddenly felt like her life had turned gray.

Watching blondie's priceless reaction, Luke's eyes filled with amusent, and he felt like his good mood had officially started right there.

Not long after sitting in class, Luke felt a wave of drowsiness hit him.

Like he'd been cursed.

He yawned and silently sighed.

Maybe this was the true power of classrooms.

Ding-ding-ding!

The bell for first period rang.

Teacher Mors stepped into the classroom, looked around, her gaze landing on Luke. She smiled. "I have an announcent."

"In this Royal Academy hunting competition, first place goes to Luke. Congratulations to him on earning one hundred credits."

Applause rose through the room.

Mors continued, "And many of you have likely heard what happened in Edessa. In that incident, Prince Luke made major contributions and saved tens of thousands of Demacians. I hope you all take him as an example!"

She led the applause again.

This ti, everyone's attention turned toward Luke. There were murmurs of awe—along with plenty of admiration.

The applause beca even louder.

What happened in Edessa was never going to stay secret. As ti passed, it would spread across Demacia.

And in the capital, the news was already brewing. The noble students who could attend the Royal Academy had learned even earlier.

So they naturally understood how important Luke had been in the incident.

Luke accepted the applause with a smile.

Then Mors continued, "Therefore, the Royal Academy is awarding Prince Luke an additional one hundred credits."

"Huh?" Luke had barely reacted to all the applause.

But now his eyes lit up.

Another hundred credits?

That ant he could take another twenty days off.

Beside him, Lux's eyes widened too. She stared at Luke, bitterness practically dripping.

Twenty days plus another twenty?

How was anyone else supposed to live?

This was basically permanent vacation.

Unbelievable.

The more she thought about it, the more unbalanced she felt.

Watching Luke's grin stretch wider and wider, Lux sighed sadly inside.

If she'd gone along on that trip, maybe she could've earned so credits too.

If only she'd done better in that earlier assessnt—

maybe she could've gotten a share of today's rewards.

But quickly, Lux reignited her inner fire.

She missed this chance, but there would be another.

She couldn't miss every opportunity forever.

Lux clenched her fist, swearing that starting today she would study seriously.

Her eyes filled with fierce determination.

From this mont on, she would treat every class and every assignnt with respect.

No slacking.

And then, just a few minutes into the lecture, Lux started nodding off.

She truly hadn't slept enough today—maybe four hours total.

For Lux, who needed nine hours a day, this was straight-up torture.

Mors's lecturing voice was basically a lullaby.

Lux's eyelids began fighting each other.

Open. Close. Open. Close.

Her head slowly sank.

At first, she still knew she was in class, so she struggled.

Her head dipped—she jerked it up, forced her eyes open, and stared forward in a haze.

But two seconds later, her eyes shut again.

Over and over and over.

This single hour beca endless for her.

Luke had noticed ages ago. Watching Lux look like she was barely hanging on, he found it incredibly funny.

So he didn't interfere at all—he just watched.

Silently guessing when she'd finally lose.

Soon, on one of those eye-closing monts, Lux didn't reopen them.

Her head drooped, her breathing went steady.

Sure enough, people grow through hardship.

In her exhausted state, Miss Crownguard unlocked a new skill:

Sleeping while sitting up.

Even Luke was impressed.

Up at the front, Mors's gaze shifted.

From the podium, a lot of things were visible at a glance.

And right now, as she spoke and glanced toward the back row, she saw Lux sitting there with her head hanging, completely motionless.

That was absolutely asleep.

Mors raised a brow, her expression turning dangerous.

"Lux! Can you use so sense for once?!"

As she threw her hand, a piece of chalk shot across the room.

"Sense? Like… cents? What cents?" Lux reflexively lifted her head, eyes full of confusion.

The next second—tap.

The chalk nailed Miss Crownguard right in the forehead with a crisp sound.

Lux yelped, clutching her forehead, still not fully sure what had just happened.

Then her eyes landed on Mors at the front.

And she saw that face—coldness spreading, getting sharper by the second.

Lux jolted.

Her tiredness got deleted instantly. Full alert. Maximum energy.

"Is my class that boring?" Mors's voice carried an icy chill that made it feel like the room temperature dropped. "So boring you can't stay awake?"

Lux shivered and shook her head like her life depended on it. "No! Your class is really interesting!"

Mors gave a cold laugh. "Is it? Then tell . What's interesting about it?"

Lux: "…"

She scrambled for words, thinking so hard her brain practically smoked, and still couldn't squeeze out a single sentence.

Mors looked like she was about to combust.

Honestly, if Lux had even said one thing, Mors might not have been this mad.

Then she snapped, "Stand up!"

Lux sprang to her feet, looking pitiful.

"If you're that sleepy, you can stand for the entire morning. Let's see if you can sleep while standing."

Mors didn't soften even a little. She finished, pulled her gaze away, and ignored Lux completely.

Lux sighed in misery and stood there.

Standing really did keep her awake.

But one hour like that, and her legs were burning.

Ding-ding-ding!

Finally—finally—the bell rang.

Mors packed up and left the room.

A lot of students were sleepy too. Many of them imdiately put their heads down for a quick nap.

Lux sat down at last, relief flooding her—

only for it to be replaced by dread.

It was over. Judging by how angry Mors looked, this was definitely getting back to her mother.

Lux could already predict exactly what awaited her at ho.

Luke, anwhile, cheerfully said, "Looks like you caused trouble."

Hearing him talk like this, Lux's anger flared again. She glared at him. "And whose fault is that? You kept up all night!"

Classmates: "???"

That sharp complaint hit like a spark in a powder keg.

The classroom fell silent for a heartbeat. Even the students who'd been half-asleep sat up.

Oh, you want to say that?

Then we're not sleepy anymore.

All at once, curious eyes turned toward the back row.

Toward Luke and Lux sitting side by side.

The looks got… extrely aningful.

All night?

Didn't sleep?

Uh—

Can you maybe… elaborate?

That one sentence detonated in everyone's imagination.

This was nuclear-level gossip.

Was this the kind of drama a lowly background student like them was even allowed to witness?

Unfortunately, they didn't get the conversation they wanted.

Because Luke noticed the sudden swarm of attention.

He frowned and looked around.

The mont his gaze swept over them, everyone hurriedly looked away, and the classroom "returned to normal" at record speed.

Then Luke looked back at Lux—still fuming—and smiled. "As compensation, I'll stand with you the rest of the morning."

Lux's eyes lit up. "Really?"

"Of course not." Luke snorted, stood up, and looked down at her with pure contempt. "I have two hundred credits. I'm leaving. I'm going ho to enjoy my life and lie around. As for you—stand properly. Don't disappoint Teacher Mors."

The expression on his face was basically the word "mockery" made flesh.

Lux listened, stared at his face, and started trembling with rage.

A scream exploded in her head.

She clenched her teeth so hard she wanted to lunge across the aisle and bite him to death.

But Luke could sll danger.

He wasn't giving her the chance.

"Have fun at school."

With that, he imdiately left—no hesitation, no lingering.

Lux watched his back disappear, clenching her fist as she pulled out her little internal grudge notebook yet again.

Leaving the classroom, Luke humd a happy little tune and strolled down the hallway like a free man.

It was perfect.

This feeling was perfect.

For the next forty days, he wouldn't have to step foot here again.

He went straight to the office.

Collected both the one hundred credits from first place and the extra one hundred credits from the Academy's special award.

Then he exchanged every last one for leave.

And after that, he walked out of the Royal Academy without looking back—clean and smug and unbelievably satisfied.

Sitting in the carriage ho, Luke's mood was light and bright.

And when he imagined blondie still suffering in the hell of class, he felt even better.
