Luke calculated the distance in his head while feeling the wind speed around him, roughly confirming where he was.
After all, he was only "cheating" a little—this wasn't real x-ray vision.
When he felt the wind pick up and the space open up, Luke confird he'd reached the back garden.
"I don't need to keep demonstrating, right?"
Luke pulled off the handkerchief. Even though the deal had been to reach the statue in the middle, the two girls behind him had been silent for a long while—so it probably wasn't necessary.
Kahina, who had been convinced the entire ti that Luke was just ssing with Lux, blinked and nodded dumbly.
From the starting point to here was at least two hundred ters. Luke had been blindfolded—and he'd even walked a little faster than a normal person.
Was that training thod actually real?
anwhile, Lux's eyes were sparkling, like her brain was already projecting a glorious future where she awakened her sixth sense.
Watching the two of them like that, Luke couldn't help feeling a little worried.
Were these two fair, soft, innocent girls really about to get completely "converted" by his nonsense?

When the three of them wandered back into the living room, they found Xin Zhao waiting there.
"Uncle Xin, what is it this ti?" Luke asked, curious.
"Your Highness, there is indeed sothing." Xin Zhao stood and said, "His Majesty has purchased a residence for you outside the palace. You can go take a look now."
"A residence?" Luke was still puzzled. Why buy a house outside out of nowhere? "Why?"
Xin Zhao explained, "Jarvan III believes you may need an environnt where you can be more independent. So you can move out of the palace today."
"Hm?" Luke paused.
Moving out was going to happen sooner or later, but he didn't expect it this soon.
And it definitely wasn't because Jarvan III didn't want to see him.
Thinking back to the conversation that morning, Luke suspected soone had been stirring things up.
Most likely that old man Roy.
Still, moving out of the palace didn't sound bad.
If he lived alone, Luke would be more comfortable.
They set off imdiately. There wasn't much luggage to pack anyway, so he was done in a few minutes.
Lux and Kahina also wanted to join the excitent.
The group got into a carriage and headed toward Luke's new ho.
After a while, the carriage ca to a stop.
"Your Highness, we've arrived."
The white-clad bodyguard from that day pulled open the carriage curtain. Xin Zhao couldn't leave the palace, so this man was handling the errand.
The three of them got out.
In front of them was a three-story villa—one of those with a private yard. The yard wasn't small, probably three to four hundred square ters. There were flowers and shrubs planted around, and a stone path running through it.
Lux stared at the villa, looking puzzled.
After they went in, they walked around the outside first. It looked small from the outside, but it was actually quite spacious inside.
Further back, there was even a rear courtyard—two trees, a cluster of greenery, lush and vibrant. At the far end, there was also a fishpond about a hundred square ters, set against the wall, though it was empty for now.
Then there was the house itself. Inside, it wasn't small either—at least as big as before. There wasn't much furniture yet.
After walking the whole place, Luke was satisfied.
A house like this was sothing his old life self probably could never afford in a lifeti.
anwhile, Lux kept finding it more and more familiar. She frowned and said, "Why does this feel… kind of familiar?"
The white-clad bodyguard glanced at her and answered, "Miss Crownguard, this property was purchased by His Majesty Jarvan III from High Marshal Tianna."
Lux imdiately understood. That explained it—this place used to be hers.
"Is it close to your house?" Luke asked. He still wasn't familiar with the capital, and he hadn't recognized the area when they arrived.
Lux nodded, thinking a mont. "Maybe… a ten-minute walk?"
"That is pretty close," Luke said thoughtfully. "So doesn't that an I can go to your place and mooch dinner every day?"
"Sure. You're welco anyti!" Lux bead.
"Your Highness, this is your allowance from His Majesty."
At that, Luke saw the white-clad bodyguard take out a heavy coin pouch.
It was noticeably bigger than a normal one.
"There are two hundred and fifty gold coins inside," the bodyguard said as he set the pouch on the table. "As for the keys, I'll hold them for now—in case you're not ho this afternoon. Furniture will be delivered one after another."
Luke nodded. "Alright, got it."
"Your Highness, do you have any other questions?"
"No."
"Then I'll take my leave."
"Mm."
The bodyguard seed to have a bit of trauma around Luke, because he left very quickly.
Luke picked up the coin pouch, weighed it in his hand—it was satisfyingly heavy. In a good mood, he waved grandly and declared, "I'm treating today. Order whatever you want."
They were definitely eating out for this al.
Kahina and Lux didn't refuse.
The three of them went to the sa restaurant Luke had visited last ti. This ti, when the server saw him, the attitude was respectful to the point of reverence.
The al ended up costing over thirty gold coins.
Absurdly expensive.
Mainly because Luke had a big appetite—and seated at the sa table was Miss Crownguard, who was no less terrifying.
Ever since that so-called cake competition, Luke had learned sothing: Lux might be small, but her appetite absolutely wasn't.
Watching her order two more dessert portions, Luke finally couldn't help looking at her a few extra tis.
Lux noticed imdiately. She stared back, wary. "What are you looking at for? When we ordered, you didn't say you wanted any!"
Ever since the strawberry incident, she'd gotten a little protective of food around Luke.
Luke fell silent, looked away, and waited lazily.
He honestly had no idea where all that food went.
"Looks like we're not far from the Illuminators' Church. Want to go take a look after this?" Kahina suggested.
Luke figured he didn't have anything else planned for the afternoon, so he agreed.
Lux didn't mind either. In her eyes, as long as she wasn't going ho—far away from that tiger of a mother—anywhere was fun.
After eating, the three of them headed to the Illuminators' Church.
They ran into Old Lady Yuna again.
And her daughter, Lola.
From what they learned, Old Lady Yuna ca here to help out. To repay the Illuminators' kindness, she used her free ti outside of work to assist here.
At the sa ti, Luke also learned that the thief who had stolen her purse last ti had actually been caught.
"Speaking of that, we really have to thank Your Highness," Old Lady Yuna said, looking at Luke. She hadn't expected the young man who helped her before to be a prince of the realm.
Luke looked confused. "But I didn't really do anything."
Kahina smiled and explained, "After Your Highness caught that thief last ti, the capital's security bureau went on high alert. They started a major crackdown on thieves that very day."
