Now reading: Chapter 18: CH-16 THE Conference from Legacy of the Void Fleet, a Action novel by Drakethedestroyer.

Across the virtual space, the holographic forms of the Star Fleet delegation began to materialize. Chancellor Bai Zong qi, youthful yet dignified, appeared first, his presence commanding. Flanking him were Admiral Yu Tong and their senior advisors, all bearing expressions of careful neutrality as they took in the Void Fleet's representatives and the conference hall.

Kallus rose from his chair, his authoritative voice resonating through the chamber. "Chancellor Bai Zong qi, Admiral Yu Tong, esteed delegates of the Star Fleet—welco. I trust our discussions today will be smooth and productive."

For a mont, Bai Zong Qi remained silent, his gaze sweeping across the intricately designed virtual chambers. The seating arrangent was as formal as it could be, exuding an air of equality. There was nothing in the setup to suggest the Void Fleet's superiority, despite their evident technological advancent and power over Bai Zong Qi's fleet.

Bai Zong Qi was quite intrigued upon seeing the seating arrangent, and so were Admiral Yu Tong and their advisors. While he was not a seasoned diplomat, he could sense the subtle ssage behind the Void Fleet's approach: a deliberate gesture to convey, We treat you as equals, not pawns to be used and discarded. It was evident that they genuinely looked forward to whatever this conference could achieve.

The Chancellor nodded, his expression thoughtful, before shifting his focus to Kallus.

His sharp eyes studied the Imperial Commander. Kallus, with his fair complexion and handso features, possessed striking deep blue eyes that were devoid of the arrogance and superiority Bai Zong Qi had expected. When he spoke, his tone was asured. "Imperial Commander Kallus, it is an honor to et the leader of the Void Fleet. Your reputation precedes you."

As he said this, Bai sighed inwardly, his thoughts racing. His earlier suspicions about the Void Fleet, drawn from their fleet's unique design and configuration, were now confird. With this realization, his anticipation for the dialogue ahead grew significantly.

Kallus offered a faint smile, his deanor poised and unflappable. "Reputations are but shadows of the truth, Chancellor. I hope today's discussions will reveal the potential for a relationship that benefits us both."

Bai Zong qi's lips twitched slightly, a gesture of acknowledgnt at Kallus's asured response. He gestured for the eting to comnce. The air in the chamber was charged with the weight of unspoken possibilities, the stakes clear to all present.

For Kallus, this was more than a eting—it was a stage where he could begin weaving the threads of his vision. Through respect and strategic foresight, he sought to shape the narrative of this encounter, subtly declaring that while the Void Fleet's power was unmatched, its leader's wisdom truly defined its strength.

Kallus remained seated; his expression composed as he began to speak. His tone was steady, exuding authority without arrogance.

"Chancellor Bai Zong qi, Admiral Yu Tong, esteed delegates of the Star Fleet," he began, his voice cutting through the ambient silence. "Allow to begin by acknowledging the strides your alliance, the Star Earth Alliance, has made in advancing your society and ensuring the well-being of its mbers. It is a comndable initiative, particularly considering the challenging circumstances of your arrival here."

The Void Fleet delegation remained silent, observing the subtle shifts in the expressions of the Star Fleet representatives. Kallus continued, his words deliberate.

"I have taken an interest in your efforts to ally with Earth's nations, beginning with China. The establishnt of the Star Earth Alliance and the promises it holds for its mbers is a fascinating step toward unity and progress.

Your technological advancents, especially the developnt of the Gene Advance Serum, are particularly noteworthy. A serum that awakens latent potential in your people is no small feat, demonstrating a profound understanding of human physiology and ambition."

While the "Gene Advancent Serum" is certainly a remarkable breakthrough for humanity, particularly for Earth. However, I must admit that its significance diminishes when viewed from a broader, galactic perspective. For the Void Fleet and, I suspect, even your fleet, it is little more than a curiosity.

"That said, its potential for uplifting the people of Earth cannot be understated, and I comnd your ingenuity in leveraging it for societal advancent. It also allows them to hold a positive image of you in their hearts, as it is quite tempting for them to admire such dedication to the greater good."

The ntion of the serum drew a faint reaction from Bai Zongqi, though he quickly masked his surprise.

Bai Zong qi nodded in agreent with Kallus's statent but added in a thoughtful tone, "Indeed, the gene advancent serum may not hold much interest for us in the Starfleet. However, it is necessary if we want Earth's people to be prepared for the challenges that await them in the wider galaxy. Wouldn't you agree, Imperial Commander Kallus?"

"Indeed, it is, Chancellor Bai," Kallus replied with a nod, his tone carrying a mix of affirmation and resolve. Kallus continued, his gaze unwavering.

"Your alliance has also extended significant infrastructural aid, including the allocation of advanced automated factories and production setups, the integration of the Q-Sky Net for communications, and impressive advancents in defense systems.

The upgraded EVO-Gen J20 fighters with photon engines and advanced battery systems are a testant to your ingenuity. Extending their range, arming them with advanced laser weaponry, and enhancing their overall capabilities is a remarkable achievent."

"While these developnts are advanced for Earth's current state, I understand that their scope is limited primarily to your alliance with China. Expanding these efforts to the broader Star Earth Alliance remains a significant challenge, one I presu you are keenly aware of."

Admiral Yu Tong shifted slightly in his seat, his expression betraying a mix of intrigue and wariness. Kallus's voice grew sharper, though his deanor remained respectful.

"I am also aware of your alliance's broader vision—to ensure that those displaced by these rapid advancents are not left behind. The effort to integrate them into your fleet and, eventually, into the frawork of your burgeoning star empire, speaks to a sense of responsibility that I respect."
