Now reading: Chapter 426 426: CH from Legacy of the Void Fleet, a Action novel by Drakethedestroyer.

And for the very first ti since eting David, Shadow began to feel genuine fear toward him and the power standing behind him.

At this mont, he felt as though the Dark Legions had willingly stepped into the den of a dragon.

Only to realize too late that they could already be inside the jaws of the beast itself.

And with a grave expression, Shadow faced David once again.

Even though he still had assurance through the contract they had signed, one that guaranteed the Void Fleet and the Void Humans would not, or rather could not, back away from their agreed terms…

The realization that everything he had done and discussed had already fallen within the calculations and expectations of the Void Humans left him deeply unsettled.

And honestly, even he himself couldn't properly describe how he currently felt about all of this. But that was sothing that could be dealt with later.

What truly mattered right now was understanding just how far ahead these Void Humans actually were.

And more importantly…

What was their true ultimate goal? Resources? As if he could still believe that explanation now.

There was clearly sothing far bigger and deeper happening behind the scenes, sothing he was completely unaware of.

And because of that, Shadow beca even more cautious toward David while instinctively remaining on guard.

David, however, had obviously noticed this change and had already expected it to happen.

Now calm and composed, he spoke with a faint smile. "There is no need to look at like I'm your enemy, Lord Shadow."

"Hehe… as if I can believe you so easily now, Lord David," Shadow muttered back, his tone making it very clear that whatever little trust he previously held had already started shaking.

"Sigh," David said, shaking his head. "Anyway, seeing you like this, anything I say, you won't believe it. But let say one thing. All of this might seem very, very big, but it's actually not like that. It is, in fact, a small thing."

"Hehe, a small thing?" Shadow mocked. "If that is the case, then I don't know what is bigger. You're able to calculate things to these details, and you call it a small thing? Wow… just wow."

David shook his head again and beca even calr despite seeing that Shadow was not believing a single word of his. Then he said sothing very seriously that stunned Shadow, causing all his mockery to vanish.

"What if I tell you, Lord Shadow, that we also possess an entity no different from the Seer of the Asura Imperium? Would that explain the logic behind this?" he asked Lord Shadow with narrowed eyes.

This only when asked specifically, and feeling the aura of David that had locked onto him, did he co out of his dazed state and say faintly while holding his breath in his chest, "No… no wonder. No wonder you were able to plan all of this way ahead. You have an existence like the Seer of the Asura Imperium. No wonder… no wonder."

Everything beca clear to Lord Shadow, and he cald down a bit. His negative thoughts were pushed back and weakened greatly at this mont, though they still remained in his mind. He now had all the will to inform his lord and stay even more guarded against the void humans from this point onward, so that even if sothing happened, they would be prepared.

"Now that this has beco clear to you, let introduce you to a few things here, Lord Shadow."

David, seeing that the burden on Lord Shadow had lessened a bit, walked toward the massive ship not far away from them. It possessed the sa dinsions as the Asura Imperium, but what differed here were the internal and external designs, as well as the schematics and systems, which were delicately crafted to be used solely by the Dark Angel race.

"This Dark Destroyer is a dreadnought-class ship designed around…"

Just like that, David explained a few things in detail about the ship, which was no different from what Luna had done back at the Asura Imperium.

The power level, the hull, and the shields were mostly the sa and no different from the ones used in the Indigo-class dreadnought. This was, just like the Indigo, a peak Tier-3 spaceship technology that could dominate any ship of the sa tier and even those above it without backing off at all.

David explained everything without glorifying or exaggerating it.

Finally, at the end, he added, "These ships can solve both your short-term and long-term needs while providing you the power and assurance of survival even against the superpowers of the galaxy, much less the Holy Light Angel Empire."

"Hiss…"

The more he heard, the more unbelievable it sounded, and yet the performance logs, the simulation videos, along with the live demonstration of the ship's weapons on the Orc fleet, made it hard not to accept it even when it seed impossible.

Despite that, his breathing beca rapid.

And before he could even properly process all of this, David, without waiting, began introducing other things. The more Shadow heard, the more rapid his breathing beca until his face flushed red and his body shook with extre excitent.

When David was finally done, as if seeing the right mont to hamr the hot iron even more and flush out the remaining impurities, he added,

"This is our sincere gesture toward you, your people, and your state. These weapons, vessels, and everything here will beco your sword and shield against anyone in the whole universe. Not only will these ships address your urgent needs, but they will also fill the power vacuum within your state, allowing you to confidently swallow and consolidate the gained territories while giving your state enough ti to build up its strength."

"Which also acts as a guarantee for us and our partnership. After all, your end does not do us any good. And while it is true that there is no free al in the world, much less the galaxy, this ti is a different case. Giving you these weapons allows us to secure our share of benefits as well."

"And don't worry about how you will be able to utilize these ships and weapons. They are, in fact, quite easy to use, as they were designed and simplified based on your Tier-2 level technology. So any Tier-2 pilot could easily control these assets without much training."

"And yes, there won't be any drawbacks to this."

This not only did 'not' clear things for Shadow, but instead made everything even more confusing, as it was simply too unbelievable for him.

To receive sothing that powerful, sothing they had struggled and stumbled for over many, many years to obtain, just like that… it was difficult to comprehend. And even though David said it was to secure their own interests that they were giving all this away, Shadow felt there was far more to it than that.

And although these words sounded harsh to say the least, this favor… yes, this favor was imnse.

As David had said, these ships would beco the stabilizer, the sword, and the shield of the Dark Legion, allowing them not only to stop fearing the Holy Light Angel Empire and its backers if they truly obtained these assets without any conditions whatsoever, but also to integrate the captured territories and consolidate them within their own sphere of rule while continuously building up their strength without reservation.

And to a great extent, David was right.

If things were left to the current strength of the Dark Legion, they truly would not be able to hold on for long. While they might not be wiped out instantly and their race would still survive as it had in the past, they would never be able to fulfill their agreent.

And they would eventually default on them.

After considering all of this, along with the many other things mixed into the situation, Shadow finally ca to terms with it.

Impossible as it seed, it was still right there in front of his eyes, more real than anything else. In the end, Shadow finally accepted it.

And with that acceptance ca excitent.

While David was busy dealing with Shadow of the Dark Angel Legion, in another place Salazar was dealing with the White Moon Wolf Empire, and the situation there was no different from the one here.

The opposing party, the Wolf General, had also been caught off guard. But after Salazar played the sa move as David, the Wolf General accepted it far more easily. Along with accepting reality, he happily accepted the fleet of ships and sincerely promised that the void humans would beco their race's lifelong partners, whom they would never betray or backstab.

They quickly accepted the delivery, which excited many of the higher-ups within the Wolf Empire and gave rise to their long-standing plans.

And that was to eliminate the Blood Moon Empire, their lifelong adversary and the natural enemy of their race.
