Chapter 1285: Chapter 1285: Donning the White Robe
Outside the Pavilion Main House.
There should have been thirty-two people stationed here.
But now, not a single soul!
Even the gates had been flung wide open.
Amadeus Fairbanks, holding his longsword, stood on the steps of Pavilion Main House, gazing coldly ahead.
Betrayal?
He hadn’t expected his words to co true.
These damn bastards were too restless.
Soon, a rush of footsteps approached.
Olivia Warm, along with the elders of the War Council, accompanied by a legion of guards, entered through the open gates into the Pavilion Main House.
“Pavilion Master, what are you doing with that sword in hand?”
Ellis Ridge, draped in a cloak, arms crossed, asked tauntingly: “Slaughtering a pig to invite us for dinner?”
The mont the words fell, a burst of laughter echoed among the crowd.
“Mr. Lake, show so respect when speaking to Mr. Fairbanks,” Olivia Warm interjected with a smile: “After all, he has been our old Pavilion Master for decades; let’s maintain so courtesy.”
“You’re right to reprimand , Pavilion Master Warm,” Ellis Ridge said with an amiable nod, then fell silent.
“Pavilion Master Warm?”
Hearing their conversation, Amadeus pointed at Olivia Warm: “I am not yet dead, and you have already beco Pavilion Master?”
“I’m sorry, I have no wish to sit on the Pavilion Master’s throne,” replied Olivia Warm as she turned to point at the crowd behind her: “But the brothers here insisted, leaving with no choice!”
As the words ceased, Ellis Ridge draped a white robe over Olivia Warm.
At Willson Pavilion, white signified authority!
Supre and unparalleled!
Just as yellow symbolizes imperial power.
Donning the white robe, one is the master of Willson Pavilion.
“All hail the Pavilion Master!”
Nearly a hundred people knelt around Olivia Warm.
“Look, it’s the will of the people,” said Olivia Warm, spreading her hands and straightening her white robe: “Amadeus Fairbanks, you ought to reflect on why all these brothers have betrayed you.”
“A bunch of bastards.” Amadeus Fairbanks raised his longsword, squinting at Olivia Warm: “You’ve even learned to rebel from others?”
“Not exactly,” responded Olivia Warm indifferently: “I rely want to request the Pavilion Master to step down.”
“With just this few people? Make it simple, call everyone who disobeys , and I will deal with you mutts all at once!”
Faced with a coup and betrayal, Amadeus Fairbanks was neither panicked nor frightened.
Instead, he looked at the traitors before him with calm defiance.
“There’s no need.”
Olivia Warm frowned slightly, then imdiately smiled: “Admittedly, so still remain loyal to you. But those n have been tied up in the camp, incapable of coming out to save you.”
“Good!”
Amadeus Fairbanks nodded and asked aloud: “Who’s first?”
“!”
As a voice rang out, everyone turned to look behind them.
They saw Leopold Fairchild stride forward, leading a group with murderous intent.
“Leopold Fairchild, eager to witness the Pavilion Master’s skills!”
Arriving before the Pavilion Main House gates, Leopold Fairchild shed his spotless gloves and drew his longsword with a swift motion.
“Very well! Willson Pavilion’s five-star general, Deputy Pavilion Master, has even joined the rebellion.” Upon seeing Leopold Fairchild, Amadeus Fairbanks’s expression finally turned grim: “Unexpected, truly unexpected.”
He clenched the hand gripping his sword, veins standing out enraged!
“Co!”
Whoosh!
Amadeus Fairbanks leapt into the air, his longsword slashing down fiercely!
Clang!
Leopold Fairchild countered with an advancing thrust, colliding with Amadeus Fairbanks’s blow!
Sparks flew.
The trendous impact forced the two n to step back.
The soldiers at the gate felt as if they had gone deaf, overco with an excruciating pain.
“The Pavilion Master’s swordsmanship is the sa as before!” Leopold Fairchild, brandishing his longsword, laughed loudly: “Domineering and arrogant! It is precisely because of your obstinate nature that we’ve co to today’s situation!”
Finished speaking, he gripped his sword with both hands and lunged forward fiercely.
Clang!
Sword clashed against sword!
Resisting each other firmly!
“You cannot defeat .”
Amadeus Fairbanks said with a cold smirk: “Otherwise, you wouldn’t be the Deputy Pavilion Master.”
“That remains to be seen!”
Leopold Fairchild was visibly straining.
But in his eyes, a towering battle will blazed!
To sit in the Pavilion Master’s seat, he had to strike and finish off Amadeus Fairbanks before Olivia Warm could!
With the support of the Marshal and the navy, he could securely sit in the Pavilion Master’s position.
“Scram!”
Swoosh!
Amadeus Fairbanks suddenly pushed forward and delivered a kick in mid-air!
Bang!
Leopold Fairchild staggered backward several steps and finally stabilized himself by planting his longsword into the ground.
His white navy uniform was already sowhat dirty.
“Commander Fairchild, leave it to us!”
Olivia Warm waved her hand, and the Willson Pavilion elders behind her surged forward!
“Bring it on!”
Amadeus Fairbanks fiercely shed his robe and charged into the crowd with a knife in one hand!
Splurt!
With one slash!
The young man at the forefront was cut in two.
Olivia Warm and the others also went all out, besieging Amadeus Fairbanks!
Outnumbered!
After killing a dozen or so, Amadeus Fairbanks was finally driven back into a corner.
“Did you poison ?”
Retreating into the corner, he frowned slightly, the longsword planted on the ground, barely able to maintain his stance.
Amadeus Fairbanks could clearly feel his strength gradually ebbing away.
It was not normal!
“Just a bit of poison.”
Ellis Ridge pointed at Amadeus Fairbanks’s arm: “The tiny, invisible wound, the Pavilion Master might not have even noticed?”
During the chaos, he had lightly slashed Amadeus Fairbanks’s arm with a poisoned dagger.
This poison could make a person lose fighting ability in a short ti.
“Amadeus Fairbanks, we all know you’re as brave as a tiger! If we had fought squarely, I’m afraid the majority here would have died by your blade!” Olivia Warm sneered, “Sorry, but we had to resort to so despicable tricks.”
Amadeus Fairbanks was powerful and his swordsmanship profoundly dominant.
Olivia Warm and Leopold Fairchild were both masters, but compared to Amadeus Fairbanks, they were not of the sa level.
“Bastard!”
Amadeus Fairbanks took a deep breath and struggled to stand.
“For this rebellion, we were on tenterhooks, tried every possible ans!” Olivia Warm touted as if showing off, walking up to Amadeus Fairbanks: “If we hadn’t been so careful, it wouldn’t have been so easy to bring you down.”
“Is that so?”
Amadeus Fairbanks chuckled lightly, and his longsword suddenly lashed out!
Splurt!
Olivia Warm sensed danger and quickly dodged!
But he was still cut across the abdon, blood flowing freely!
Clang!
After delivering the blow, Amadeus Fairbanks finally ran out of strength.
The longsword clattered to the ground, and he collapsed, sitting on the ground.
“Seize him!”
Olivia Warm clutched his stomach in pain, his white robe already stained red with blood.
“No need!”
Ellis Ridge suddenly spoke up.
“What do you an?”
Olivia Warm’s pallid face turned to look at Ellis Ridge, shouting angrily, “Call a doctor!”
That strike was swift, accurate, and ruthless; if the bleeding wasn’t stopped, he might succumb to shock and die.
“I said, no need!”
Splurt!
Ellis Ridge plunged a knife straight into Olivia Warm’s heart.
“You…”
Olivia Warm trembled, his eyes widening, filled with disbelief.
“Minister Davenport said if you die, I beco Pavilion Master,” Ellis Ridge’s face showed an exceedingly crafty smile.
“Haha!”
He pushed forward aggressively and shouted fiercely: “Kill all the navy!”
Clang! Clang! Clang!
The Willson Pavilion guards unsheathed their longswords.
“Including Commander Fairchild, not a single navy mber will be spared!”
Ethan Brandon looked at Leopold Fairchild indifferently: “Sorry, we’ve already ford a pact with The North Sea, and as for the Marshal, we don’t trust him!”
