In an avalanche, snowflakes are innocent.
They were quietly nestled on the mountain.
But they were rendered holess by a single strike from the Holy Master.
The exit was completely blocked.
Not a trace of light in the cave.
"I have the body of immortality." After a brief silence, Julius Reed spoke first.
"In Boulevard Mountain for those hundreds of years, the environnt was much similar. The main thing is, I’m not afraid of cold, nor do I need much air." Elaenor Wood followed.
Silence.
Harry River took a deep breath, feeling like crying without tears: "I have sothing on my mind, unsure if it’s appropriate to say it."
He felt like his head had been kicked by a donkey, coming out with these two peculiar monsters.
Now, here they were.
Harry River was frantic, grinding his teeth!
Hands clenching into tight fists!
Whoosh!
A burst of divine fire ignited!
Illuminating the cave.
"Are you crying?" Julius Reed scrutinized Harry River in front of him.
It seed the eyes of this great diviner were sowhat red.
"It’s the wind!" Harry River stubbornly wiped at them, gazing 45 degrees upward, so tears wouldn’t fall.
"Brother, help find sothing first." Elaenor Wood changed.
He was no longer the dicine God in white, holding a white paper fan, seemingly a young wastrel.
More like a youth beset by emotional troubles.
Harry River said nothing but glanced at him, silently taking out the compass from his chest.
It was a compass crafted of pure gold!
The pointer was actually made of diamond!
Even in the dark cave!
Yet under the shine of the divine fire, it still glead brightly.
"Wait, what kind of gold is this?" Julius Reed leaned in, gently touching it,
"Golden Eye." Harry River spoke with slight pride: "King among gold! The gold used in this compass cos from the purest quality gold in the world, and it’s the purest piece among them! This piece is worth billions! And money can’t buy it."
"And the diamond on top?" Julius Reed asked again.
"Queen among diamonds! You just need to know, this thing is very expensive." The divination tools of Harry River were cards.
However, now, he took out a compass.
But Elaenor Wood and Julius Reed felt no dissonance.
After all, it’s just a tool.
"It’s quite good. The toilet in Demarco Mount’s place is made of this gold. The buttons on the toilet are exactly the sa diamond material as your pointer." Julius Reed nodded.
Harry River, deservedly a king of divination, just the compass alone showed his status.
"And the scale above uses flying celestial jade. Coincidentally, the floor of Demarco Mount’s toilet is just made of this material." Julius Reed finished speaking, a hint of approval in his eyes: "You’re pretty good, kid. At least what you use matches your identity."
Harry River said nothing.
He had been to Demarco Mount and knew the Holy Master was telling the truth.
But inside, he felt uneasy.
"Holy Master, you always inadvertently dampen others." Elaenor Wood patted Harry River’s shoulder: "Brother, don’t mind him."
"Hmm." Harry River cald himself, focusing entirely on the compass in his hand.
When he initially hid the controller, he chose to conceal it in this cave for the sake of safety.
The cave looked small but was quite steep!
Covered with snow outside, unless soone had been here, it’s hard to discover there’s still a cave here.
Even if soone stumbled in, they wouldn’t find the controller.
The main reason being the internal structure of the mountain constantly moves!
The pointer started rotating.
Faster and faster!
Seemingly losing control!
"What’s happening?" Elaenor Wood’s mind was all on Anna Harris, wishing they’d find the controller soon so the Holy Master could reunite them.
"Don’t rush." Harry River frowned slightly.
Sothing felt off.
According to his design, the compass shouldn’t be spinning this fast, but should point towards where the controller was hidden.
A full five minutes!
The compass needle continued spinning!
"What’s going on?" Julius Reed finally asked.
He knew very well that after five minutes, it ant a problem had arisen.
"Not sure." Harry River pressed the compass needle, releasing it, and it kept spinning!
Faster and faster!
"This compass has many functions, but now, its essence is an enhanced magnet. In this cave, only the controller has a tallic structure. Logically, the needle should point to the controller. But now..."
Harry River frowned deeply.
He didn’t expect this situation.
"Is it possible that soone found the place where the controller was hidden and secretly took it away?" Elaenor Wood asked with so concern.
"Impossible! No one but would co here!" Harry River looked at the fast-spinning compass, his frown deepening.
"Such confidence?" Julius Reed was also curious.
He didn’t understand why Harry River was so sure no one would co here.
"You haven’t been here long enough to know Town." Harry River put away the compass, focusing on the thousand-square ters open field in front of him under the divine fire’s glow.
"The na of Town originates from the legend that it suppresses demons! The ancestors of Town were responsible for guarding the demons! But as ti passed, this knowledge is lost. The na Town survived."
"Yet! This area has always been a forbidden zone for the people of Town! The people pass it down from generation to generation, never to approach this region. Coming here, didn’t you notice there wasn’t a single soul?"
Upon hearing.
Julius Reed did not understand: "Just a legend, wouldn’t people co here to explore? Humans’ curiosity drives them to explore the unknown."
If such a legend existed, surely the place would have been thoroughly explored.
"The ancestors of Town proved with blood there’s no return from here. Though I don’t believe, and I often co here. But people here deeply trust it." Harry River looked around, feeling a sense of unease.
Though divine fire provided light, it seed weak in such open surroundings.
Harry River stood still, taking the compass out again!
"Every few days, I’d secretly visit here. Previously, within a hundred ters, the compass always pointed precisely to the controller’s location." He stared at the wildly spinning needle, muttering to himself: "Crafted by the top artisan, its sensitivity to tal is nearly perfect."
"Is it my sword?" Julius Reed pointed to his waist, where two swords hung.
The Hell Sword and the Great Zhou Lanye Sword.
"Shouldn’t be." Harry River shook his head: "If your sword indeed interfered, being this close, it should point to you. Yet, look at the spinning speed of the needle..."
On the compass.
The needle was whirling madly!
Totally indistinct!
Too fast!
"Don’t wander off! The controller is hidden nearby. If necessary, move along the mountain wall, exploring inch by inch." Harry River focused entirely on the compass.
"I said don’t move!" Harry River looked up and was stunned.
Elaenor Wood and Julius Reed stood right beside him.
Absolutely still.
Yet, he distinctly heard footsteps!
Harry River turned!
Looking into the depths of the cave!
There.
Soone was... coming!
