Now reading: Chapter 2037: Prophet? from Legend of Dragon Son-in-law, a Action novel by Sky Luo.

The purpose of instigating a conflict between the Imperial Master and Shadow Kims has been achieved.

Julius Reed directly discarded the mask of Shadow Kims, donned a hood, and followed behind Pranay Martinez.

Any living emperor is an enemy.

They would beco obstacles on Julius Reed’s path to clearing the temple.

So, during the gathering at Thousand-clouds Mountain, he planned to imprison so people and eliminate others.

But plans couldn’t change faster.

The news that the Prophet wasn’t dead completely disrupted Julius Reed’s plan.

He must get to the bottom of this issue.

Is the Prophet dead or not!

If he’s dead, then all is well.

If he’s not, what on earth is the truth behind the Prophet’s death back then?

The Prophet, known to have died in broad daylight, what has he been doing all these years?

"I’m surprised you’re not dead." Pranay Martinez sat inside a convertible, gripping the steering wheel with one hand, speaking.

The cards were on the table.

If the Prophet isn’t dead, they are friends.

If the Prophet is dead, they would et with weapons, with relentless enmity.

There aren’t that many enemies or friends; it’s rely about uneven interests.

"I’m even more surprised you’re not dead." Julius Reed glanced at him, stretched lazily, and said helplessly: "You really just cannot die, and you even used ."

In fact, regarding the matter with Pranay Martinez, he had pondered before.

Everyone was a sly old fox; many things weren’t as they seed.

Julius Reed had countless ways to avoid the possibility of Pranay Martinez’s resurrection.

But he didn’t.

Because a Pranay Martinez who could control his own body, alive, was always better than Osher Reed occupying Pranay Martinez’s body.

Between two evils, choose the lesser.

At least now, he could sit in the sa car with Pranay Martinez, chatting idly.

Had it been Osher Reed, the two might have already fought seriously.

Relentlessly.

There would have been no chance to sit down.

"Everyone is using each other." Pranay Martinez humd a tune, speaking casually: "If not for your help, how would I be driving a Ferrari with one hand now?"

The car was speeding on the highway, with the surrounding wind noise quite loud.

But this didn’t hinder the communication between Julius Reed and Pranay Martinez.

"I still admire you." Pranay Martinez lightly tapped the steering wheel with his fingers, drawling: "You managed to get Pruitt Wilde to help you. That was soone you personally killed, dismbered for five thousand years. Western Emperor, I’m really curious."

"You have many things to be curious about." Julius Reed didn’t answer him, he couldn’t very well admit he had foreseen Pruitt Wilde’s decision long ago, could he?

People have personalities, and Pruitt Wilde was no exception.

"If the Prophet isn’t dead, what should we do?" Pranay Martinez knew he wouldn’t get an answer, so he jumped straight to a serious topic.

Entering this topic, Julius Reed also put away his earlier smile.

Julius Reed wasn’t afraid of anything known.

As strong as the temple, almost united the world, yet Oscar Reed shattered its nearly perfect system, sending the mastermind to hell.

But the Prophet was completely different!

The Prophet was an extrely special existence.

He was mysterious.

The Prophet was the mouthpiece of the temple; any will or command from the temple had to be spoken through the Prophet’s mouth.

Including the divine order of enshrining the six emperors, all ca from the Prophet’s mouth.

So had doubted whether the Prophet truly had such power, or was he just ruling the world under the temple’s guise?

But the abilities the temple later demonstrated, beyond human imagination, made them firmly believe in the existence of deities.

And the Prophet was truly a ssenger of the deities.

Irreplaceable.

No one knew what the temple actually wanted to do, except for the Prophet.

Deities were worshipped on high, but the Prophet was the closest existence people could contact near God.

So even called him a demigod.

Such a mysterious existence actually summoned mythical beasts to kill Julius Reed.

And no second Prophet ever appeared.

Seemingly, the temple lost its hub of communication with humanity, but not really.

Because within a few days, the temple was buried underground.

Completely sealed.

"I have a very scary hypothesis." Julius Reed looked at the trees flashing past the window, suddenly asking: "How fast are you driving?"

"Over three hundred, why?"

Pranay Martinez leisurely replied.

"Slow down, if the car crashes, you and I might not see the Prophet for a long ti." Julius Reed glanced around, it was already over three hundred and ninety.

"The first thing I did when I got in the car was cut the brake lines." Pranay Martinez let go of the steering wheel, cradled his head, leaned back in the seat, and asked: "What’s your hypothesis?"

"Could the Prophet have foreseen the fall of the temple and faked his death? Of course, this all assus he’s not dead. If Darin lied, then the theory doesn’t hold." Julius Reed stated his hypothesis.

The Prophet, as the na suggests, not only had the ability to convey the wills of the deities, but also had the capacity to foresee the future.

However, no one had truly seen the Prophet utilize this ability.

So even doubted if the Prophet was just the temple’s mouthpiece, lacking the ability to foresee the future.

What others thought, Julius Reed did not believe it either.

Hiddy, as the Prophet’s biological daughter, even if she encountered danger, would feel discomfort beforehand.

Even Hiddy, who had never co in contact with deities or cultivation, could foresee danger, so how could the Prophet be just an empty title?

"If so, the Prophet foreseeing the fall of the temple, surely he had preparations. Yet, he allowed you to succeed. Did these five thousand years serve to accumulate power for a counterattack?"

Pranay Martinez spoke with a hint of worry in his tone. "If that’s truly the case, he might foresee our deceit, foresee your existence, foresee..."

At this, the two stared into each other’s eyes.

They saw a shared surprise in each other’s gaze.

Then, they blurted out a na.

"Jesse River?"

They only knew of one person who could foresee the future.

The King of Divination, Jesse River.

Jesse River could even foresee Pranay Martinez’s future and strike back hard, severely injuring Pranay Martinez in such desperate circumstances!

Under the sky, they didn’t know anyone else with such formidable predictive capabilities.

"If it’s really him, we would all be dumbfounded." Pranay Martinez’s rare serious expression.

Could Jesse River be the Prophet?

If he truly were the Prophet, what had been the purpose of contacting them for so long?

"Watch out!"

Julius Reed pointed ahead!

But it was already too late.

Boom!

The sports car hit the crash barrier at around four hundred speed.

Julius Reed and Pranay Martinez were thrown hundreds of ters away.

Finally landed on the ground.

The fleet behind them braked urgently, running over to check on their situation.

"What’s the probability of Jesse River being the Prophet?" Pranay Martinez looked at the burning car, lit a cigarette to steady his nerves.

"We’ll only know by eting him first." Julius Reed thought for a mont, Jesse River seed to et all the criteria for the Prophet, didn’t he?

Best if he’s not.

If he is, the trouble will be huge.
