The mont he entered.
Julius Reed felt the world had changed.
This was no longer a cave, nor a spirit site.
The wolf was nowhere to be seen.
There was a grave here.
In front of the grave stood a stele, inscribed with so text Julius Reed couldn’t understand.
Though the writing was unclear, it seed to have the image of a wolf.
Surrounding it was a vast stretch of yellow earth, without an end in sight.
The wind howled, with sand swirling through the air.
A solitary grave stood here.
An especially striking presence.
Julius Reed gripped his longsword, scanning the surroundings without spotting any abnormalities.
He stepped back, only to find he hadn’t retreated.
He was trapped here.
He didn’t panic.
As long as he remained calm, it would be others who should panic.
Julius Reed planted his sword into the ground before him and sat cross-legged.
He took out his phone and opened his favorite novel, "The Dragon Lord’s Coback," only to find it wasn’t completed.
"Huh?" As he read, a sharp sound pierced the air.
Julius Reed pocketed his phone, drew his longsword reverse-handed, and slashed forward!
Swish!
A wolf was instantly shattered!
Or rather, vanished into thin air.
As if it were an illusion.
Imdiately after.
Another wolf appeared before him!
Julius Reed swung his sword again!
The wolf vanished the mont it touched the longsword.
The third ti it appeared, Julius Reed didn’t attack, instead slightly sidestepping to dodge.
The wolf dashed past, tearing a piece of his clothing.
"How could this be?" Julius Reed slashed down his longsword, splitting the wolf as it attacked again.
It seed he couldn’t harm the wolf, and the wolf could appear infinitely.
If it succeeded even once, it would an death.
Julius Reed brandished his longsword, charged toward the grave, and struck fiercely!
Strangely, the sword passed through the grave without eliciting a reaction.
Everything here was an illusion.
But the damage they caused was very real.
Julius Reed swept sideways with his sword!
The stele also failed to react, disappearing upon contact with the sword.
But quickly reappearing.
The wolves repeatedly attacked in tireless assaults.
At this rate, one could be exhausted to death.
This seed to be an unsolvable existence.
Faced with enemies that couldn’t be killed and imnse destructive power, with no avenue of retreat.
Only one outco seed possible.
Exhausting one’s strength and then being killed by the wolves.
An unsolvable existence!
Julius Reed slashed dozens of tis, even attempting with infused Evil Qi, all to no effect.
Unable to hurt the wolves even slightly, while they could cause harm.
If this continued, even he would be exhausted.
A very sinister place.
Julius Reed, uncertain how many tis he shattered the wolf, opened his shirt.
The wolf appeared once more.
Roar!
In a daze!
A white tiger appeared in front of Julius Reed!
The white tiger bared its jaws, colliding directly with the wolf!
Boom!
The grave exploded instantly!
The wolf let out a mournful howl, struggling non-stop.
A peculiar scene unfolded.
Julius Reed stood still, as if he could see a white-browed tiger erging from his chest!
The tiger bit the wolf’s head, tearing continuously!
Even devouring it bit by bit.
In less than half a minute, the white tiger consud the entire wolf.
Retreated into Julius Reed’s body.
Yet Julius Reed could clearly feel the white tiger’s strength growing, even vaguely, there was so restlessness.
The grave vanished.
The stele exploded.
An invisible hand seed to pull Julius Reed back.
He appeared once more inside the cave.
Julius Reed lowered his head, gazing at the tiger on his chest.
The tiger had changed sowhat, seemingly only in movent.
For such fierce beasts, no change should be underestimated.
Underestimating them would lead to a miserable death.
If possible, Julius Reed would rather these divine beasts leave his body.
To avoid carrying them like a bomb every day.
After the white tiger devoured a wolf, that spirit site disappeared.
In the empty crevice, nothing was left.
Julius Reed ignored the other spirit sites, standing still and pondering.
Every spirit site here seed like this.
They could generate a power to pull one in.
If one wasn’t strong enough or careful enough, they wouldn’t even know how they died.
But what could the wolf inside be?
What exactly was this so-called Ten Thousand Gods Cave?
Julius Reed thought for a mont before deciding to pursue Ilia Danvers.
If Shadow Kims could enter, Julius Reed ought to be able to as well.
He stepped forward, disappearing as he moved.
The mont he vanished, changes occurred here.
All spirit sites disappeared, converging into a massive one.
The position was exactly where Pruitt Wilde bowed.
A massive wolf head appeared on the spirit site, its eyes very empty.
It couldn’t see!
In front of the huge spirit site, a wolf slowly erged.
It glanced at the innermost spot, then at where Julius Reed had arrived, disappearing on the spot.
Boom!
In an instant!
The spirit site exploded!
Turning into countless smaller spirit sites.
The site voided by the white tiger within Julius Reed remained empty, disappeared.
It didn’t reappear with the change.
The wolf stretched its muscles, following Julius Reed, and disappeared inside.
Within the Ten Thousand Gods Cave.
Ilia Danvers and Shadow Kims cautiously hid inside.
They had reached the deepest part of the place.
If not for having the dragon pattern last ti, Ilia Danvers might not have survived.
"Has he followed?" Shadow Kims leaned against a spirit site, quietly asking.
"Not yet, but whether he’ll co later is unclear. I can only hope he dies there and doesn’t co." Ilia Danvers’ complexion wasn’t good, seemingly injured.
"What sound?" Suddenly, Shadow Kims spoke.
Already tense, they grew even more nervous at his words.
Rustling sounds echoed around them.
Very frightening.
"Be careful," Ilia Danvers advised, "The spirit sites here are very sinister, do not be influenced. Damn, back to this cursed place again."
Just as he spoke, a giant crocodile suddenly crawled out from the spirit site before him!
"Retreat!"
Ilia Danvers pushed Shadow Kims aside, striking down with one hand!
His palm tore through the air!
The crocodile’s open jaw was slapped shut.
Then vanished.
"What’s going on?" Shadow Kims asked, still shaken.
"No idea for now. But this cursed place is dangerous; we can’t stay long. Let’s see if people outside have gone; if not, we’ll retreat." The crocodile’s appearance left Ilia Danvers slightly unnerved.
Too eerie.
How could spirit sites produce such monstrosities?
He suddenly sensed sothing amiss behind him.
Turning around, he saw Shadow Kims open his jaws wide, biting at him!
Thud!
Ilia Danvers rolled away, cursing, "What are you doing!"
"I’m... not in control!" Shadow Kims’ face contorted with pain, as if his throat was seized.
As he spoke, he uncontrollably advanced towards Ilia Danvers.
"Shadow Kims, what are you doing!" Ilia Danvers retreated three steps.
Suddenly feeling emptiness beneath his feet.
He found himself in an unfamiliar place.
Before him, lay a river.
