Now reading: Chapter 2207: Rescuing Trent Marsh from Legend of Dragon Son-in-law, a Action novel by Sky Luo.

This familiar feeling, Julius Reed had experienced before.

For example, those guys in the temple, after possessing a human body, often produce a feeling of unfamiliarity.

"Could it be that he’s no longer himself?" Shadow Kims asked Julius Reed, feeling curious right away. "Or has he tead up with Hill Leocadia?"

"Neither," Julius Reed shook his head. This feeling was indescribable but always seed familiar.

"Let’s wait and see."

He continued drinking.

The more people ca, the more muddled the water beca.

To defeat the enemy strategically, it’s best not to act personally.

Sutton stood at the doorway for a while, then disappeared.

No one saw where he reappeared.

Ten minutes later.

He appeared at the entrance to the basent.

The basent was full of people. Due to monitoring issues, the Gills Alliance completely abandoned electronic devices and chose to increase manpower.

However, since Ilia Danvers had killed a batch of their mbers earlier, their strength was now quite limited.

Until Granny Xihua sent her people over, they were barely managing.

In the corner, Sutton squinted his eyes.

In his pupils, two mice appeared!

"Who’s there!" Sensing footsteps, soone pulled out a walkie-talkie, ready to report up at any ti.

Whoosh!

Suddenly!

Two jets of fla shot out!

The guards’ pupils contracted sharply, reflections of fire in their eyes!

A second later, the ground was covered with scorched corpses.

Even the walkie-talkie had been completely burned to ashes.

Sutton stepped forward, trampling over the scorched corpses, heading into the basent.

"Trent Marsh..." Entering the Temple of Return to Heaven and gazing at the statues within, Sutton let out a soft hum.

He knelt before a statue, bowing his head several tis.

Perhaps a bit forcefully, which brought pain, Sutton’s eyes briefly flashed with panic.

But the panic swiftly faded.

Returning to cold indifference.

Since his resurrection, Sutton’s eyes had beco like those of a mouse.

His body, seemingly not his own.

He always felt as if he were asleep, only being lucid for a few seconds every few days.

He didn’t know what he was doing, nor why he’d beco this way.

Because his thoughts no longer belonged to him.

He was no longer himself.

Clack!

The statue’s mouth opened.

Sutton stood up, a mouse-like smile playing at his lips.

His eyes were growing smaller.

And light-sensitive.

Boom!

Sutton soared through the air, entering the statue.

He took several steps but was quickly obstructed.

He wanted to go in, but couldn’t.

Sutton raised his head, muttering sothing unknown.

A few seconds later, black tendrils dangled from above.

He placed his neck within them, and the tendrils quickly contracted, suspending him in midair.

Sutton reflexively kicked his legs a couple of tis and ceased reacting.

But bizarrely, a smile appeared at the corner of his mouth.

The black tendrils shimred, revealing a mouse on the other side of the barrier.

The mouse quickly moved inside.

It was a pitch-black environnt, but the mouse could see.

They’re nocturnal creatures, moving swiftly.

Piercing through the darkness, ghostly blue light began to appear.

The mouse climbed a bit.

Arriving at the base of a statue.

The statue that was a mouse!

Twelve sculptures!

The Twelve Zodiac Beasts!

The Twelve Underworld Beasts!

The mouse spun around and quickly crawled toward the position of the dragon.

It squeaked loudly, clearly furious!

As if it had discovered sothing.

Outside the statues were various bizarre sculptures.

But these were different from the Twelve Underworld Beasts; their positions scattered.

Moreover, so resembled people.

If Julius Reed were standing here, he’d definitely be surprised.

Because many things here were recorded in the Genesis Codex.

The mouse crawled a distance, raised its head, and astonishingly, it clasped its hands like a human and bowed deeply.

It was a statue of a person.

A person holding a book, scholarly spirit!

Gazing ahead!

The book was the Genesis Codex!

And this person looked sowhat like Julius Reed!

Below the statue were crookedly written words.

Silvio Reed, King

Not far away was another statue.

Interestingly, the face on the statue had been smashed away.

At the statue’s feet was a cocoon ball.

Like a spider wrapping prey inside.

The mouse approached, visibly furious!

Surveying the cocoon ball, it squirted so urine on it, then used its sharp teeth to bite open a hole.

Through the breached cocoon hole, inside was a golden statue.

The words at the statue’s base were also marred.

Only a vague ’Three’ could be seen.

The mouse squeaked fiercely at the golden statue, tearing at it aggressively, but to no avail.

This golden statue was indestructible, nothing the mouse did would work.

Seemingly feeling its own strength was insufficient, the mouse began dragging the cocoon ball backward, bit by bit.

Though not fast, it wasn’t too slow either.

After a while, the mouse dragged the cocoon ball to the doorway.

The gap was small.

The mouse butt-bumped it.

Pushing the cocoon ball out slightly.

After completing this task, it gradually vanished.

The black tendrils began to gleam.

Sutton kicked his legs and opened his eyes.

As his eyes opened, the black tendrils disappeared.

Sutton landed on the ground.

He drew the blood sword from his waist, pulling out the cocoon ball.

Kneeling on one knee, he gripped the sword with both hands, gently inserting!

The black blood sword glead, accompanied by the squeaking of mice.

The sword tip pressed against the golden statue; it couldn’t advance an inch.

Then, suddenly flas ignited from the sword.

Red Rat’s flas.

The surrounding air grew dry, crackling and burning.

Yet the cocoon silk, unaffected.

Not a sign of catching fire.

As the temperature rose, the golden statue’s gold paint started to lt.

With the lting, protection disappeared.

In a few more minutes, the sword would pierce Trent Marsh’s head directly!

The mouse squeaks grew happier.

Squealing continuously.

The golden statue’s lting speed increased.

Clack!

Suddenly, the golden statue shattered completely.

Sutton, ecstatic, raised the flaming sword and stabbed down fiercely!

Boom!

But, suddenly a team appeared behind him.

The leader kicked out, flipping Sutton over.

The flas extinguished.

A flash of panic crossed Sutton’s eyes.

"Wu Da, you traitor, if we’d arrived half a step later, you’d have really killed third brother."

The leader removed the hood, revealing a face full of scars. "Rember our faces; when we appear, it ans soone will die."

"Who are you...?" Sutton asked in an awkward voice.

"Ten Thousand Mountain Alliance Death Squad leader, Griffen Marsh!" Griffen Marsh struck out with a sword!

Clang!

Sutton pushed down with both hands against the ground, the blade struck the ground before him, sparking!

"Get third brother out, I’ll deal with him!" Griffen Marsh commanded, sword raised, bloodthirsty!
