The room was filled with quite a few guests.

There were a dozen or so.

But they were all quite old.

The building was sowhat old, but the stickers outside were bright and new.

After Julius Reed sat down, he noticed that their chairs were all different.

So chairs were made of iron, so of plastic.

Arranged alternately.

So were the tables.

So were quaint wooden tables, while others were modern tables, and even tables like those on cruise ships were placed here.

"Sir, here is our nu. Take a look at what you’d like to eat?"

An elderly lady, her face full of wrinkles, handed over a nu with trembling hands.

The nu was handwritten, with pen on white paper.

The mont he got the nu, Julius Reed fixed his gaze firmly on the old lady.

The old lady’s eyes flickered, avoiding his stare imdiately.

This nu had big problems.

A nu is surely for eating, yet there were no grease stains on it.

This was just paper!

No plastic coating outside.

Just plain text on paper!

Ordinary paper, if touched repeatedly,

would definitely have grease on it.

After all, this is a restaurant.

But the nu had lipstick stains, black smudges, and gri—just no grease stains.

The paper had beco soft.

It gave a profound sense of age.

Jovany Leopold, lacking experience with the dangers of society, looked around and asked with a smile, "Madam, at such an age, are you still working as a waitress? Where are the young people in your family?"

As soon as these words were spoken, the old lady’s eyes turned cold, but she quickly returned to a natural deanor.

"Young people wouldn’t want to stay here. As you can see, there aren’t many custors every day. We’re all elders from the village, and the young dislike this kind of dirty and tiring work—they’ve all moved to the city. Only us, who can’t go far, stay for a living."

The old lady responded with a smile.

Her face was full of wrinkles, suggesting she was quite old, yet her confidence in speaking and posture showed no signs of age.

Martial Artists!

This was a group of Martial Artists!

Only a Martial Artist could be like this.

"Then how about dining? It’s all elderly people. I saw a cruise ship parked at the door. How co I don’t see anyone?"

Jovany Leopold looked around, but the guests here seed to be comprised of just those dozen or so elderly n and won.

He had observed earlier at the nearby hotel.

The sa situation.

Just a few elderly n and won sitting inside.

No sight of young people.

On the cruise ship, aren’t young people usually the majority?

When he asked this, the old lady turned to look at an old man.

The old man was wearing a jacket, which seed to be a recent design.

Not sothing an elderly man would typically wear.

"Oh, it’s like this."

The white-haired old man approached, explaining, "This is an elderly tour group. No young people, as they’re busy with work—very tiring."

He finished speaking, and the other elders nodded in agreent, as if responding.

This situation made Julius Reed feel very eerie.

The guests sat, only drinking tea, chatting casually.

No one was eating.

"Just eat, what’s with all the inquiries."

Julius Reed gave Jovany Leopold a look, the latter instantly understood the situation.

"Oh dear, I spoke out of turn."

Jovany Leopold drew his saber, wiping it with a cloth.

The Longsword glead coldly, instilling fear.

Just as expected!

The mont the sword was revealed, everyone in the room had a change of expression.

"Sir, are you perhaps a Martial Artist?"

The old lady asked.

The mont she finished speaking, the old man beside her rebuked, "Go help in the back kitchen! Stop bothering the guests!"

"Yes."

Feeling as if she had done sothing wrong, the old lady hurried off.

"Oh? You know of Martial Artists too. I see the elderly gentleman before is full of vigor; could he also be a Martial Artist? Without such capabilities, one wouldn’t possess such a physique."

Julius Reed spoke lightly, standing by.

As soon as he finished speaking, the hotel’s atmosphere turned exceptionally strange.

All those people turned their gaze over.

"Heh heh, young man, you jest."

The old man chuckled awkwardly, explaining, "This is a pier; people co and go. Naturally, there are so Martial Artists. When I was young, I once encountered a Martial Artist who felt a connection with and taught a little pathway, so I look a bit younger than ordinary people."

The more the old man explained, the more problems it indicated.

Julius Reed pointed to a couple of dishes on the nu at random.

And simultaneously nudged Jovany Leopold with his foot.

"Ouch! My stomach hurts! Upset stomach, elder sir, where’s the restroom?"

Jovany Leopold was savvy; though trapped in a cavern, he could grasp Julius Reed’s intent.

"Uh..." The old man hesitated for a mont, but Jovany Leopold had already darted out.

He dashed in the direction the old lady had gone earlier!

As a Martial Artist, Jovany Leopold didn’t hesitate, covering over ten ters in three steps!

"Hey! Stop!"

The old man’s expression drastically changed, but it was already too late.

The nearby elders intended to block him, but Jovany Leopold had already burst through.

It was a dilapidated door!

Pushing the door open, Jovany Leopold stood at the entrance, stunned for a few seconds.

Then imdiately, he leaned against the doorway, vomiting uncontrollably.

"This gentleman went the wrong way, quickly, take him to the restroom."

The old man squinted, and the nearby elders instantly closed in on Jovany Leopold.

"All the n and won from the cruise are here; they’ve all been killed! Devoured by this bunch of beasts!"

Enduring the nausea in his stomach, Jovany Leopold raised his Longsword, pointing at those elders, "You truly are beasts!"

"Heh." The old man gave a sly smile, coldly eyeing Julius Reed, "You truly think you have so skills to be so presumptuous here?"

"Or else? Wait to be eaten by you?"

Julius Reed, sitting in his chair, similarly assessed the old man before him.

It was very bizarre.

Their actions couldn’t be explained at all.

Elders, all elders.

Who knows how many years they’ve lived.

They tidied up the pier just to lure people in, then consu them.

"I ask you, does it always rain and get windy when a boat passes here?"

Julius Reed began recalling from the start, realizing there was a problem from the beginning.

"You’re a Martial Artist; you should understand formations. Formations gather here, bringing storms all year long. You’re smart, yet being smart isn’t always a blessing."

The old man gave a cold smirk, "Initially, I could have let you die in agony. But now, it seems you’ll have to watch as you’re devoured bit by bit."

"My bones are pretty tough. Can your teeth handle it?"

Julius Reed placed a leg on the table, patting it, "Go ahead, if you can take it!"

"Alright! Show them!" The old man commanded gravely, and all those elderly people stood up!

Each holding a weapon.

"Jovany Leopold, would you like an opportunity?" Julius Reed remained calm and collected in the face of such an array.

"I’ll definitely cherish it!"

Jovany Leopold chuckled, raising his wrist, swinging at the nearest elder!

The Longsword cut through the air, tearing it apart!
