Now reading: Chapter 2554: Silvio Reed’s Reflection from Legend of Dragon Son-in-law, a Action novel by Sky Luo.

Marcellus Lopez was extrely depressed.

In the past, he had been the overlord of Sweatsblood Ridge, and had even once dominated the Taklamakan Desert.

But now, first he ran into Julius Reed, who called himself the Swordsman Piran Wilson, and was severely wounded by his great Divine Skills.

Right after that, he personally witnessed one of the three Ancient Emperors, the Blood-Soul Great Emperor!

That pool of fresh blood could actually burst forth with extrely powerful might, far surpassing him, a skeleton!

After watching that video Julius Reed had sent, Marcellus Lopez was deeply shocked.

He had originally planned to dominate the world, to continue sitting at the very top as the Great General King. But after repeatedly witnessing that there is always soone stronger out there, his confidence took a massive hit.

He knew he’d been cut off from the world for too long, and had beco a frog at the bottom of a well.

Right now, he had to figure out the true situation clearly if he wanted to sit more securely in that seat within the Ten Thousand Mountain Alliance.

Who doesn’t want to sit on the throne of Number One Under Heaven?

Especially soone like Marcellus Lopez, who had already once experienced being a leader.

Back then, he had been the number one chair of the Ten Thousand Mountain Alliance. If Silvio Reed hadn’t used underhanded, vicious thods to have Marcellus Lopez die miserably in the Taklamakan, then perhaps the king of the Ten Thousand Mountain Alliance should have been him, Marcellus Lopez.

The events of this period had left Marcellus Lopez physically and ntally exhausted, bearing unprecedented pressure.

And now, who knew what thod Trent Marsh had used to actually break free from his yellow sand, and even injure Marcellus Lopez a bit before leaving.

Fortunately, he had that suit of battle armor on him.

The battle armor was a Divine Weapon, and had defensive capabilities.

If that shockwave had hit an ordinary Great Grandmaster, they would probably have been shaken to pieces on the spot.

Even for Marcellus Lopez, his white bones were almost shaken to the point of cracking.

Fortunately, his Divine Sense resided inside the Divine Weapon.

Perfectly protected.

That was the only reason he hadn’t truly suffered a crippling injury.

But Trent Marsh’s escape finally forced him to face himself.

In Marcellus Lopez’s previous estimation, although Trent Marsh was very strong and had a huge reputation outside, once it ca to a real fight, he shouldn’t be a match for him.

Setting aside the fact that the yellow sand was his absolute private domain.

Inside the yellow sand, almost no one could even open their eyes.

Not to ntion, there were countless skeleton soldiers here.

The battle armor on Marcellus Lopez, plus the power he had accumulated over many years, should have been enough to suppress Trent Marsh.

Yet under such perfect conditions for suppression, Trent Marsh still ran.

He escaped right in front of him!

This shocked Marcellus Lopez to the extre.

He had to figure out what thod Trent Marsh had used.

If soone launched a sneak attack on him next ti with so unknown power, wouldn’t his own safety be in great danger?

Marcellus Lopez endured the pain and felt the dissipating power around him!

This was sothing akin to a Spiritual Power bomb.

It seed Trent Marsh had long been prepared.

"Julius Reed, you actually tried to use rrill Caldwell to test . But you never expected that I had already learned the Mind Reading Technique before I died, did you? Since you care so much about Dragon Dance, then next, let’s see who can catch Dragon Dance first."

Marcellus Lopez stretched out his bone-white hand and slowly clenched it.

"I will definitely make you my gun. A man with a weak spot is nothing to be afraid of."

Marcellus Lopez slowly faded away.

Boulevard Mountain remained as tranquil as ever.

Three hundred miles outside the southeastern border.

There was a magnificent underground palace.

This was a travelling palace Silvio Reed had built.

Thinking of everything that might happen in the future, he had constructed seventy-two travelling palaces all over the world.

He hadn’t expected to be using one already on his first major operation.

Lying on the bed in the travelling palace, Silvio Reed no longer wore his ever-present smile.

Even his confidence had faded by a few degrees.

In its place was rare solemnity.

"Master Four, what’s wrong?"

Golden Cicada stood at Silvio Reed’s side, never leaving him for a mont.

He had followed Silvio Reed for many years, and this was the first ti he had ever seen Silvio so worried.

"My disciple has started to slip out of my control."

Silvio Reed turned his head and looked at the ever-loyal Golden Cicada at his side, then suddenly smiled. "Tell , have I really gotten old? For nearly six thousand years, I kept a low profile, hiding my identity in Demarco Mount. I thought this world was still under my control, that my calculations could never be wrong. But today, I truly crossed hands with Julius Reed. I almost lost."

"If we go by the goals we had set beforehand, then I have actually already failed."

"I set up such a big ga, wanting to kill Julius Reed and, while I was at it, get rid of those idiots from the Church."

"But not only did I fail to kill Julius Reed, I even earned the Church’s grudge."

"Golden Cicada, have I really grown old?"

Lying in bed under the covers, Silvio Reed looked up with expectation in his eyes.

He was waiting for Golden Cicada’s answer.

After thousands of years of lying low, thinking everything was in the bag, this was the outco.

Silvio Reed felt a bit lost.

He truly started to doubt himself, wondering if the world had changed.

When even the master couldn’t beat the disciple.

"Master Four, I’ve followed you for thousands of years. No matter what we’ve been through, you’ve always kept with you, and I’ve never left your side."

Golden Cicada sat by Silvio Reed’s window, sighed, and said, "Maybe the world really has changed. Maybe we should reflect a bit. These more than five thousand years of stability—maybe Julius Reed is the one who’s been doing the right thing?"

At those words, Silvio Reed froze for a mont, but quickly smiled and said, "If we hadn’t swept away those troubles, could he be sitting so steadily? We’re the ones who paved the road and laid the foundation for him."

"But the one actually sitting in that seat is Julius Reed. Five thousand years is enough to change a man. I’ll say sothing I probably shouldn’t—we haven’t grown weaker, but Julius Reed might really have beco stronger." Golden Cicada finished and stared straight at Silvio Reed. "Master Four, everything Julius Reed has done has very little personal selfishness in it. In his heart, the world cos first. We, on the other hand, have always been fighting for our own interests."

The room fell into silence.

"You can leave for now. I want so ti alone."

Silvio Reed waved his hand.

"I’ll be at the door. Call anyti you need sothing."

Golden Cicada rose and walked out.

Silvio Reed lay alone in bed, his mind full of the scene of his first eting with Julius Reed.

A silent young man who, back in the day, had killed countless fellow disciples and beco the sole survivor—why was it that, after becoming an emperor, he actually started to beco benevolent?

Golden Cicada’s words sent Silvio Reed into deep thought.

"The world as a commonwealth"? The world for all?

But was there anything wrong with his own struggle?

Looking across the world, who doesn’t want to be that supre existence?

People all have desires—that’s normal.

For the sake of his own desires, Silvio Reed didn’t believe he was wrong no matter what he did.

"What exactly happened to you?" Silvio Reed sat up and closed his eyes.

His ears were clearly different from those of an ordinary person.

Those ears twitched slightly.

After a while, Silvio Reed was drenched in sweat.

"Emperor Azure River’s eyes are actually on him! Just as I thought..."

Shock filled his face. "No wonder he could see through my plan."

"Master Four!"

Golden Cicada knocked on the door, shouting loudly from outside, "All the brothers from the vanguard camp who went over there are dead... not a single one left!"
