Now reading: Chapter 355 - 204: I'm afraid the firecrackers on New Year's from Legend of the chosen ones: Beyond Destiny, a Action novel by Moonlight Breeze.

Why confront them head-on?

Why play a ga on the opponent's chosen chessboard and by their rules?

If death is inevitable, then… why not be more radical and drag a few more down with us? See if we can pave a way to survival?

Uncertain of who the enemy is, first ascertain who the opponent is.

No road? Then go to the Evil Cult to demand one.

Everyone is used to being the regular army, accustod to life-and-death struggles, so much so that when the tables turn and they find themselves in the shoes of their forr adversaries, they don't think of this tactic that caused them untold suffering, nor can they estimate the wildness of Ji Jue, a habitual offender among the Embers…

In other words, isn't it about ti the Evil Cult experienced the pain once endured by the Security Bureau?

The endless mole-whacking, countless wanted criminals, and inexhaustible bandits…

"Is it feasible, Brother Shan?"

Ji Jue looked up and asked.

Tong Shan pondered for a mont, then solemnly nodded, "It is."

"With such a large-scale operation, the Evil Cult might now even have a Heavenly Person in charge." Xu Guan threw cold water on the idea. "If it doesn't go well, we'll be delivering ourselves to them."

"But with such a large-scale operation, what can one Heavenly Person manage?"

Ji Jue laughed. "Even if it were the Sovereign himself, with the Heavenly Eye suspended high, overseeing the entire realm, wouldn't there still be places beyond his reach?"

Otherwise, how could a mole transmit information right from under the Sovereign's nose?

"With such a large operation and so many people, even if the Evil Cult and the Dragon Sacrifice Ceremony enjoy a smooth partnership, they can't possibly lump together and neglect everything else, can they?"

Ji Jue looked at Tong Shan.

To this, Tong Shan nodded determinedly.

This wasn't speculation or conjecture, but a simple managent issue—spreading out such a large operation necessarily ans distributing personnel across Spring City.

For ease of deploynt, to avoid friction, or to preserve so small considerations or secrets, the Dragon Sacrifice Ceremony would not likely lie directly under the watch of the Evil Cult; splitting managent is the simplest thod.

Even the Security Bureau, represented by Tian Yuan in Cliff City, had to be divided into first, second, and third sections, creating so many jurisdictions… If everyone could gather together, et daily, and spend ti together to foster so understanding and bonds, wouldn't that be wonderful? Or didn't they want that?

Hoping that subordinates would show initiative, we can't expect them to ask for instructions on everything, holding etings every day and acting like Puppets following orders.

Being knowledgeable, effective, resilient, and sharp—they're four circles nearly perfectly nested within one another.

Occasionally there's soone like Tong Shan, who can ease worries and maintain stability, balancing the powers of the Security Bureau and the local forces in Cliff City—a truly prized helper. More often, there are those like Yu Hanguang who love to fish in troubled waters, Lu Shenzhou who love to muddle through, Zhao Chengping who crave power, and even... Wen Wen who love to roll up their sleeves and flip tables.

Reality isn't a mobile ga where a mix of R cards, N cards, and SSRs thrown together in one stockpile won't cause chaos within three days, generating a painful "Friendly Fire MVP" screen for Wen Wen.

This is still Tian Yuan!

The most orderly, integrated, and rule-abiding of all the Superior!

Could the flunkies crawling out from the gutter like those in the Evil Cult possibly hold together with united resolve and shared hatred? What a dream—it's plain to see from Yan Chong's decisive betrayal how these folks usually operate.

One can imagine that internal power struggles and life-and-death conflicts are all too common. Even if the Dragon Sacrifice Ceremony deeply collaborated with the Evil Cult, both sides might still clash over influence. And situations where strong leaders like Yan Chong build their own forces aren't rare either.

Why should my household need to add an extra line when others do the sa? With the sa supplies, why does the neighbor get an extra box?

Thinking this over, Ji Jue began to feel sympathy for their managent.

How much stomach dicine and blood pressure dication must they have consud to keep such a mixed bunch together?

"After being tricked once, the Evil Cult would surely have learned their lesson. This ti, they will deploy more personnel, not fewer, especially since they need to monitor all routes."

Ji Jue said, "As long as we take advantage of the mont when other parts of their operation are vulnerable, seize the opportunity, we might be able to capture one or two middle or senior-level mbers and escape along the routes set by the Evil Cult."

The operational routes within Spring City are secrets, not available to everyone.

The complex layout of Spring City shelters the Evil Cult but also confines them internally. With everything so precarious, to prevent foolish mistakes that could expose them or leak information, those with lower clearance probably only know one or two internal routes.

To really find a way out of Spring City, grabbing low-level grunts is useless—it has to be soone in charge, soone who has a say at the strategy etings.

This plan hinges on timing.

Attack the Evil Cult branches before they can react, then escape Spring City before the alarms spread.

This is the most viable option Ji Jue has found among all possible escapes.

If this route doesn't work, then they would have to hunker down and wait for rescue, amounting to a slow death. Or, take a chance and search for a brewing Ti Ruins, just as the Evil Cult once did, hide within it and drift beyond Spring City.

But the feasibility of this plan is too low, as are the chances of success.

It's almost akin to a fool's dream.

Even though choosing to strike at the Evil Cult presents a critical problem for everyone involved.
