Now reading: Chapter 24: My First Disciple from Legendary Beast Tamer: Starting With Legendary Rank Sword, a Fantasy novel by CloverNine.

"But such rank... can they exist in this world?"

[They can, your world doesn’t impose restrictions on the rank that an individual can attain, even if it surpasses the mortal limits.

However, if you want, you can choose to ascend into the Immortal World.]

Felix was stunned. However, he quickly replied, "No, I love my world better. I’ll keep defending it until I’m left with nothing but dust."

[Alright. If that’s what you want, host. But, I think you have to respond now.]

Felix was taken aback. When his consciousness returned to reality, he glanced at Master Shen, whose countenance remained the sa.

He was deeply interested in Felix’s response, despite half a minute had already passed after Felix took his ti to ruminate.

Krisha, on the other hand, was displeased that Felix actually needed dozens of seconds to decide.

Did he really need to think?

Finally, Felix said, "I will impart her with my sword technique."

Felix didn’t want to tell them the truth—about imparting Krisha with a technique perfect for her. After all, it would drastically alter their understanding of him.

It was already surprising his sword could provide a sword technique, but another sword technique suited for Krisha at that?

That would definitely pique their interest negatively.

Krisha, hearing Felix’s response, made an expression, seemingly saying, "Of course, you do," unaware of Felix’s real plan for her.

Master Shen, anwhile, bead a smile.

He spared Krisha a glance and aningfully said, "So, she will be your first disciple."

Felix quickly caught on with what Master Shen was trying to convey. He glanced at Krisha and teased. "Yeah, she’ll be my first disciple."

Krisha was stunned. She glared at Felix, grumbling. As much as she wanted to reject the proposal of learning Felix’s sword technique instead, not wanting to beco his disciple, the lure of learning a sword technique stronger than the Azure Cleave Dojo had made her hesitate.

In the end, she convinced herself that Felix was simply going with the flow of Master Shen’s teasing and she would surely get back on it later.

Hence, she laughed, forcefully so, she felt her stomach twitching in pain.

After a while, Master Shen had a brief conversation with Krisha. The latter then learned that the relationship between her father and Master Shen was mild.

Perhaps, Master Shen was simply just a man with fewer words, or his father was simply trying to beco neutral to prevent establishing friendly personal relationships with one of the dojo that compete with others.

Master Shen turned towards Felix and said, "Supposedly, I have already prepared the two month foundational training for you two. It aims for you to learn our core sword techniques consecutively and coordinate with your beast without depending on it.

However, I have decided. You can do what you want in my dojo—learning in the beast sync arena or ask for a duel for my disciple—your choice. You will also enter in the rankings, too. Hopefully, you’ll be able to leave your mark here, especially as an outsider."

He paused for a while and continued, "Don’t forget this, every week, we will spar the whole day. I’ll spare you each with two hours to duel against , then you’ll duel with each other for an hour. Then repeat in the afternoon.

Does that arrangent sound alright for you?"

Felix and Krisha bowed deeply.

Krisha said, "We are more than grateful enough to be at your care, Master Shen."

Felix followed up with, "Please take care of us, Master Shen."

Master Shen nodded, satisfied by their polite behavior.

He turned towards Isaac but his face and eyes changed drastically to a neutral one.

He said, "Bring them to their room assigned to them. On the upper floors."

Isaac was stunned. The upper floor in the Residential Wing of the dojo was supposed for the inner disciples. The lower floors were for the outer disciples.

It was not only arranged symbolically. The room on the upper floor was multiple tis better than the lower floor.

The rooms in the lower floor were also shared, compared to the upper room that, despite it being minimal and as spacious as the room in the lower floor, you owned it.

To obtain the rights to beco an inner disciple not only requires the Master’s approval but also the entirety of disciples’ acknowledgent.

In other words, the inner disciples were among the top, proven by the duel against other disciples.

It would have been understandable if it was the daughter of the mayor to obtain the rights to own one of the rooms.

But, for a below ordinary individual to own them? After he declared his intention to keep dueling their disciples instead of training obediently as he started from the bottom at that?

Isaac was enraged. However, under the gaze of Master Shen, he knew he had to restrain himself.

To hide his emotion, he bowed deeply and replied in a soft tone, "That can be done, Master."

Master Shen nodded. He turned towards Felix and said, "You didn’t bring any luggage with you?"

Master Shen was inford early in the morning that Krisha’s butler had arrived to prepare her room, including her beast’s quarters.

Hence, he was curious about Felix.

Felix shook his head. "I did not, I couldn’t. I overexerted my body last night during training, so I imdiately fell asleep. I have also decided that I’ll buy my clothes here, or on the outside."

Master Shen was silent for a while and said, "You can’t go outside unless absolutely necessary. As for your clothes, I believe you have been inford that we wear uniforms, so you can buy it here. There is also a store inside the Residential Wing, so you can buy as many as you like, casual or uniform."

Felix bowed deeply and expressed his gratitude.

Master Shen turned towards the canal water and observed the reflection of the sun. There were more than three hours left before the sun set.

He said, "Go to your room and rest for now. You can start your training tomorrow. If you have any more questions, I have instructed the instructor in the Residential Wing to accompany you for today."

Master Shen didn’t wait for their response and returned to his previous position—gazing at the canal water, as though attempting to learn sothing.

Isaac took the chance to lead them to the Residential Wing, not forgetting to glare hatefully at Felix whenever he had a chance.
