During the "Flooding of the Seven Armies," actual water mist sprayed over, feeling chilly as so droplets landed on Li Younan’s face and neck.
Guan Yu stood on a moving pedestal, with a gigantic water screen projection behind simulating a deluge.
The audience seating rotated, making everyone feel as though they were swept into the very center of the battlefield.
A horse carrying a person charged through the shallow water from the side, water splashing everywhere, and the sound of hooves was particularly clear, feeling very near.
The whole play had significant action, the drumbeats, shouts, and sound effects of weapons clashing were relentless, leaving Li Younan’s ears buzzing incessantly.

When the lights ca back up, Li Younan felt as if he had suddenly returned to reality from a very noisy place. Looking back at those massive warrior stone pillars in the darkness, standing silently, they felt different from when the play began.
The story remained the familiar tales of loyalty from the Three Kingdoms, but presented in this way, especially in the riverside environnt, the experience was quite unique.
