Riding a horse is actually not very difficult.
The horses here are all tad. As long as you follow the instructions of the riding coach, nothing should go wrong.
In humanity’s long history, especially in Mongolia, horses have always been by human’s side, and in this sense, they have developed a genetic understanding with humans.
Of course, the most important thing is their docility: the two horses the coach brought over were naturally the most docile among the herd.
The coach said, "When you get on a horse, it actually senses whether you know how to ride. You have to pretend you can ride, exude confidence, and the horse won’t bully you." After a pause, the coach laughed and said, "In a way, horses are very perceptive and can be a bit of a bully if you can’t handle them. They won’t listen to you if you can’t control them. Now, let’s officially mount the horses. Who’s going first?"
Huang Xiaoyang, Li Younan, and the others looked at each other.
Li Younan patted his cara and said, "You two go ahead, I’ll take pictures of you."
Huang Xiaoyang nodded and said, "Alright, I’ll go first and show you how it’s done." He strutted over to the horse and asked, "Is it like this?"
The coach demonstrated once more on the back of another horse, then got down, planning to lead the horse over for Huang Xiaoyang to mount.
But before he got next to the horse, Huang Xiaoyang already put his foot in the stirrup and, with one swift motion, mounted the horse, his movents smooth and natural.
After getting on, Huang Xiaoyang glanced at Dan Dan nearby, and then, in a calm and natural tone, said to himself, "Doesn’t seem too hard."
The coach, seeing this, looked slightly surprised and then bead, "First ti riding a horse and it went so smoothly, not bad at all. Seems you have a talent for it."
Huang Xiaoyang looked over at Li Younan, his expression still restrained, as if showing no other emotion. He was watching Li Younan’s face to see if he would find any signs of shock or surprise.
But then he was disappointed; Li Younan rely glanced over at the horse-riding side and then lowered his head to fiddle with his cara.
Huang Xiaoyang frowned slightly and said to the coach, "Alright, let’s continue."
The coach walked over to the horse and explained a bit more to Huang Xiaoyang up close, who nodded to show that he took everything in.
Then the coach had Huang Xiaoyang try moving the horse a bit, while he stood aside to make sure nothing went wrong.
Huang Xiaoyang sat up straight and even leaned back slightly, gently squeezing the horse’s belly, and the horse slowly started to trot forward.
The coach’s voice ca through, "Yes, exactly. Gently pull the left rein, it will go left. Sa principle, gently pull the right rein, it goes right. The rein is like your steering wheel. To make it run, you need to exert so pressure with your feet... But don’t try that yet, get familiar first..."
Before he finished speaking, Huang Xiaoyang exerted a bit more force, and the horse sensed it and began to trot.
Seeing this, the coach was stunned for a mont and then asked Dan Dan standing there, "Is your fiancé really riding for the first ti?"
Dan Dan nodded, looking honest, "Yes, yes, it really is his first ti."
After saying that, she sneaked a glance at Li Younan, but unfortunately, he didn’t even look at her.
The coach looked towards Huang Xiaoyang, who wasn’t riding very fast. After trotting out about a couple of hundred ters, he gradually slowed down, then gently pulled on the reins, and the horse turned around, slowly making its way back.
As the horse approached them, it slowed down, and Huang Xiaoyang jokingly asked, "Oh, you haven’t told how to stop?"
The coach blinked and said, "Lean back a little and it will stop."
Huang Xiaoyang gently leaned back, indeed getting the horse to stop, and then jumped off the horse saying, "Indeed, not too difficult."
Li Younan finally raised his head and smiled, "Finished? Let take a few shots of you then."
Huang Xiaoyang subtly furrowed his brows, nodded, and then said, "You give it a try, it’s really not hard... but do be careful."
Li Younan said, "Why’d you get down? Go on up, I’m taking your picture."
Huang Xiaoyang took a deep breath, "I was talking to you about the horse."
Li Younan casually nodded, "I’m talking about the horse too, co on, the light is good now. Ride over to that spot, the background will look better." Then turning to the coach, "Coach, don’t just stand there, teach the heroine how to ride too."
The coach snapped back to his senses, "Oh, oh." He grabbed another horse to demonstrate for Dan Dan.
Huang Xiaoyang sighed helplessly, mounted the horse again, and directed it to the spot Li Younan indicated.
Li Younan nodded, "This angle’s quite nice." Raising the cara, he clicked away, "Try a different pose."
Under Li Younan’s direction, Huang Xiaoyang continuously adjusted his position and angles.
After a while, he suddenly realized, with the corners of his mouth slightly lifting, so that’s it, he thought, now he knew why.
Soone who had never ridden a horse wouldn’t have a comparison.
Li Younan probably didn’t realize how impressive these moves were, just like soone who’s never kicked a soccer ball wouldn’t know how stunning a curving shot could be.
