There’s no denying that Huang Mountain is truly a one-of-a-kind scenic spot in the world.
The bizarre rocks and pine trees here are hard to find elsewhere.
There’s a saying, "Once you’ve seen Jiuzhai, you won’t look at water the sa way; once you’ve seen Huang Mountain, you won’t look at mountains the sa way." Though it’s a bit exaggerated, after seeing the mountains of Huang Mountain, other places just seem a bit lacking.
But for Li Younan, it’s no big deal.
What he cares about is the spiritual experience during travel, and the people or events he might encounter along the way.
He doesn’t have a particular love for climbing mountains. Huang Mountain, Huashan, Mountain Tai, and Zhangjiajie all have beautiful mountain scenery, but he doesn’t just want to check it off a list or take a few pictures of bizarre rocks.
After reaching the Bright Summit, he also went to see Gongyang Peak, Flying Stone from afar, and White Goose Peak, famous spots that gave him a sense of stepping into primary school textbooks.
When descending the mountain, Li Younan didn’t plan to walk down.
Zhizhi, however, was eager to try because the signboard stated that the distance to descend wasn’t more than a few kiloters, and she thought she could easily make it.

But Zhizhi didn’t want to walk down the mountain alone.
The rest of the journey was to be a light one, after all, taking the cable car down to Linggu Temple.
Zhizhi still lingered on not being able to walk down.

The only regret is that Li Younan didn’t capture many touching monts during the trip.
