(Walson)

A crimson mist pervaded the air, accompanied by bubbling and foaming sounds, mingled with heart-wrenching screams echoing on this scorched earth.

Blood-red rocks with intricate patterns and lava pits stretched as far as the eye could see. Bald mountains extended, and smoke and gunpowder rose, leaving nothing visible in the sky except for a gray haze. This was a purgatory, an endless purgatory.

"Quick, run!!!" "Ah, ahhhhhh!!!"

Two adventurers, battered and bruised, abandoned their weapons and heavy belongings and ran for their lives as if their lives depended on it. They wished they could run a bit faster.

As these two managed to escape the narrow canyon terrain, a few seconds later, the pig roars followed them, and then a large group of monsters gushed out from the canyon mouth!

Each of these monsters had the appearance of pig-headed individuals with robust bodies, covered in rotten flesh, revealing grim white bones, emitting an extrely nauseating sll in this scorching environnt.

Although undead creatures, these monsters exhibited extraordinary agility, running and jumping all the way, contorting their limbs to climb up and down, treating narrow terrain as if it were nothing.

In less than half a second, these densely packed creatures, like an ant swarm, were within arm's reach of the two adventurers. One brother shouted in despair, while the other, exhausted, was about to collapse.

This wasn't supposed to be here; this place was simply hell!

Having finally built trust in each other, they walked out of the endless corridor, thinking they could leave the labyrinth with [Inferno Gold]--- In the end, they arrived at the hunting ground of these monsters.

They attacked the pig-headed monsters to save their comrades, but instead of saving them, both brothers ended up getting involved.

However, at this mont, a deafening sound exploded behind them, causing the pig-headed monster horde to disperse. The two brothers suddenly felt sothing sticking to their backs, and before they could react, they were lifted up.

"This is really too unfortunate," I muttered to myself, pulling up the adventurers who were almost killed by the [Zombie Pign] using spider silk.

This was a small hill, or rather, where I was now, was one of the particularly steep peaks on this burning land.

I had built a sturdy makeshift platform here to get a clear view of the surrounding environnt.

I lost contact with my companions again.

At the end of the [Corridor of Trust], after passing through the magic array, I found myself alone in this place.

Looking at this burning land, my mood hit rock bottom— The reason was simple; the material that constituted this scorched earth was familiar to . I had used it before when building the hot spring—[Netherrack] from Minecraft. Once ignited, it would make the flas burn eternally. It was similar to the [Netherstone] in Minecraft.

First, it was the [Blaze] and [Nether Fortress] in the [Corridor of Trust], and now, this scorched earth. Altogether, it was too similar to Minecraft's [Nether], but still had so differences.

In Minecraft, the [Nether] looked more like a giant cave, very different from the ups and downs of the bald mountains in the current Blaze Plain. I speculated that similar to the block pollution during the Water Labyrinth, sothing from Minecraft was "overlaying" the original appearance of this place.

But this situation... was much more severe than that ti.

Back then, there was a clear goal of clearing the labyrinth. But now, I had no clue about where to go. Looking around, apart from flas and lava, there was nothing else.

The title text on the [Mini-map] displayed [God's Between], and I couldn't figure out what it was– In theory, after passing a trial, there should be so reward level for the next trial. So what was this now?

Watching the [Zombie Pign] below lose their target and slowly disperse, I let out a sigh of satisfaction.

Fortunately, these mobs doesn’t notice the place where I’m standing, otherwise, it would be bad.

Then, my expression beca more serious.

To be encountering these monsters after the [Corridor of Trust], whoever designed these trials doesn’t want any of its participants to leave the labyrinth alive.

Not to ntion how physically and ntally exhausted one would be after passing through the [Corridor of Trust], those who passed through that labyrinth generally developed a preliminary trust in each other, supporting one another. However, encountering [Zombie Pign] afterward was not fun at all.

The so-called [Zombie Pign] monsters were usually in a neutral state, as long as you didn't attack them and avoided them. However, once you attacked them, you often paid a painful price.

Because these monsters lived in groups, were highly cohesive, and had strong individual combat abilities. Once you provoked them, you would face the consequences.

Imagine today, your companions being chased by a large group of [Zombie Pign], do you save them or not? If you don't, you can save yourself wisely. If you do, based on the decision to support each other in the [Corridor of Trust], you would throw yourself into the mire.

Moreover, the large group seen today was obviously stronger than those in the ga, and the quantity was enough to make one's scalp numb.

I threw the two adventurers I had just pulled up into a nearby small cave where other adventurers were gathered.

Well, I also saved five people now. The situation was bad, and as soon as I pulled them up, they exhaustedly closed their eyes and fell asleep. I wondered how many people from the group of over a hundred would be left after they went out.

Or maybe there was no way out, and this place was the end—the monsters' hunting ground.

No, I couldn't accept it. I couldn't let Grace and the others die in this place. They were still very young and had a promising future.

Thinking about this, my initially restless mood cald down again.

Yes, I had to stay calm. Even if I raised the elevation here, it was not safe—A sharp scream ca, and a huge white figure quickly disappeared on a distant mountain peak. At the sa ti, a lava fireball flew over.

I didn't even bother to look. I just raised [EX-ARMA] and fired a shot. The lava bullet exploded in mid-air before reaching .

Ah– I didn't see it clearly, but I probably knew what creature it was, it’s the mob known as [Ghast] from Minecraft.

I knew that in the ga, they didn't move this fast, and they didn't shoot such large lava balls either... This ans the [Ghast] has evolved, right? Furthermore, it seems it had gained so sort of intelligence too.

That thing had been throwing fireballs towards us intermittently, and after throwing them, it quickly hid behind the mountain, making unable to do anything to it.

However, before attacking, the [Ghast] would always scream loudly, and the flying speed of the things it shot was not that fast. Basically, I had enough reaction ti to either block it or dodge it, so it’s not a problem at all.

A commotion below caught my attention again, and I once again saw a man and a woman being chased by a group of monsters.

Huh? I seed to recognize the woman— Wasn't she the senior sister who chatted with Grace in the arena before we left?
