(Walson)

The nightmare of slaughter continued as I stood on the platform, gazing at the distant sky ablaze with flas.

Where were the others? How could I find them? And what should we do once we find them? We had shifted from actively exploring the labyrinth to figuring out how to escape.

Watching the escalating chaos below, my worries grew with each passing mont. After rescuing a few surviving adventurers, a new wave of carnage began.

After sensing a strange magical fluctuation, the zombie [Pigman] beca even more frenzied and aggressive—attacking their own companions.

They killed and devoured each other, rapidly reducing the once massive population. anwhile, special individuals began to erge.

These entities fought each other, creating even stronger beings. Tens of thousands, thousands, hundreds, dozens, and then just a few scattered individuals remained.

One of the [Pigman] had an exaggerated physique, with twisted muscles and a height exceeding two ters. Two huge tusks protruded upwards from its gaping mouth.

The [Pigman] shook its head, and suddenly, its gaze fixed on in the distance.

My body broke into a cold sweat, sensing impending danger. However, in the next mont, the giant tusks of the [Pigman] shivered.

A black blade pierced through the [Pigmans] chest.

A faceless expression appeared amidst the halves of the butchered flesh, or rather, it had no face at all.

A tall figure with a stooped posture, a charred and thin skeleton, dragged a bloodied black sword along the ground, creating a grating noise.

In the desolate purgatory, at so point, the pig squeals disappeared, replaced by the rhythmic sounds of blades and the rough friction against the ground.

Anyone could see that the situation was now worse than before, in fact, it was terrible—extrely terrible.

Panic began to spread among the surviving adventurers, and the chaos below was evident to them.

"Hey, hey, what do we do now? Those monsters, monsters..."

"I don't want to die. I don't want to die. Mary is still waiting for to co back..."

"Sob, sob, sob..."

Several people seed to have collapsed ntally, becoming hysterical.

"Quiet down! Do you want to attract the attention of those monsters below?" I glared at the group.

"Hey! Hey! [Villager], you're a [Villager], right? I command you to go down and act as bait!" Unfortunately, my warning seed to have little effect, and unexpectedly, a voice chid in from the side.

It was a swordsman with golden hair, clad in what used to be high-grade armor. However, the armor now appeared tattered and worn, with only a broken sword hanging at his waist. He was one of Grace's old classmates rescued along with her, and he looked quite disheveled.

...Who is this idiot? And how does he know I'm a [Villager]?

With this statent, the adventurers standing nearby erupted into chaos.

"[Villager]? How could a [Villager] help us escape?"

"Haah, I'm going to die here. I'm going to die here!"

"Be a bait, yes...be a bait! Let the [Villagers] be the bait, and we can survive."

When facing life and death, people can be very pragmatic. The three people who had just drunk the water I provided were now lively and had turned their backs on .

"Ingrates," muttered the adventurer lying on the ground with more severe injuries. His expression was disdainful, and others lying around echoed similar sentints.

Hmm? I didn't expect soone to speak up for .

I glanced at the platform below. The recent commotion had caught the attention of the withering skeletons, and the first to be targeted was naturally , standing prominently at the edge of the platform.

They swayed their bodies for a mont, and the next mont, they swiftly crossed several ters, charging towards us.

The three opportunists noticed, drew their ragged weapons, and slowly approached . The ringleader, the aristocrat with a nasty look, also stared at with ill intent.

I raised an eyebrow. Why should I fear these guys?

"Your companions are not here now. You probably want to go find them, right? Why not take advantage of this opportunity..." Another person spoke, and it was none other than Grace's old classmate

Well, according to the [Status Detection], her na is Kleya, and she seed to want to avoid a conflict, trying to diate the situation from a biased standpoint. She hoped I would cooperate with everyone and act as bait.

This person was also marked as a red dot on the mini-map– Tsk, Grace, your classmate's character is questionable.

"Ah! On our way here, we saw Aurevia. She's soone you know, right? She was surrounded by a group of monsters, and at that ti, we couldn't break free either, helpless..."

"Where is she!?" At those words, I could no longer maintain my composure.

I've been out of touch with my companions for too long. I can't be sure if Barella and Grace are together. If I find Barella, I might also find the others, and that would be great.

What does it matter if they want to act as bait? I've done what I can for these guys. I don't care about the rest.

...

...

...

Bounding over the scorched earth, the agile black shadow pursued , unaffected by the rugged terrain.

Monsters from Minecraft evolve in this world with level advancents, and these were no exception—individuals with exaggerated strength.

[Wither Skeleton_LV82_Hp: 6180/6180_Status: [Withering]_Title: None]

Running down recklessly, I not only failed to find my companions but also now had to deal with these creatures behind .

The [Wither Skeleton] are high-level and unusually agile, unlike the dumb undead creatures, each one moved like a ninja. Even swaying in the air couldn't shake them off.

No, let correct that—I should say they caught up with .

Switching to the [Gale Glove] in the Toolbar, I accelerated in mid-air, dodging a slash. However, the spider silk got severed.

The [Wither Skeleton] that swung the blade monts ago attacked again before landing. I hastily conjured a stone wall, but it was cut neatly into pieces.

Just as I thought to catch my breath, two more leaped from the ground, brandishing broken blades.

The ordeal wasn't over yet. In the process of my escape, I noticed a massive black shadow moving slowly in the steamy heat of the valley ahead. Accompanied by roars echoing from the mist, I beca extrely uneasy.

That shadow seed like a giant skeleton with three skulls– If this is a dream, please let wake up.

If this is really inside the labyrinth, what kind of bizarre state has it been turned into!?

Distracted for a mont, three [Wither Skeletons] appeared behind , slashing from three different directions!

“—!!!" In this state, I couldn't handle three attacks simultaneously!

Just at that mont, sothing seed to directly pass by . When I regained my senses, three skeletons, their heads shattered by a massive iron ball, fell to the ground.

"Hurry over here! Stop dilly-dallying!!" And the one who does all of that in none other than the dwarf, Chuck, who is hiding in another cave.
