Tanaya was brought into our Party by Derisha when she joined us, and she has since been through various adventures with us.
Originally, I thought she was just an ordinary, pitiful little girl, but it turned out her identity was quite extraordinary; she has royal blood... although it's not pure. But I don't care about that; she's cute, and that's enough for .
I'm curious about her experiences before joining us, but when I asked, she didn't seem to know anything. Tanaya said she doesn't have much mory of her father, Prince John.

According to Chuck, the ability to use [talforge Manipulation] is sothing dwarves can start to use once they reach a certain level (similar to skill points allocation).
The process of selecting a mineral affinity is very similar to "Elvenisation" and is achieved through chanting a unique racial magic skill. Most dwarves instinctively learn this skill when they reach the required level; however, there are occasional exceptions who need guidance from other dwarves to awaken and master their talent.
Tanaya is thirteen years old and at level 21. For a dwarf, it's quite late not to have mastered this skill yet. Perhaps it's because of her mixed heritage, or she's one of those rare cases without a dwarf to help her.
Until today, she hasn't been able to use her [talforge Manipulation] skill.

We also had Tanaya try to use talforge Manipulation on [Orichalcum Steel], but halfway through the spell, Tanaya's face turned pale as if she saw sothing terrifying, and she interrupted the spell, failing to complete it.
"What happened?"
"Well, she saw a dragon," Chuck explained. "Many of our people have tried in the past, but without exception, they all failed due to a psychological pressure similar to dragon's might... Walson, didn't you encounter this when you did it?"

"Honestly, I don't want to talk much about it; it's a long story, and I don't have that much ti," I lied.
"Anyway, what's Tanaya's current status?" I changed the subject.
"The little girl has good talent! She can now manipulate both Nyxsteel and copper!" Chuck said.
"Is that impressive?"
"For our race, that's considered genius level. Many noble dwarves can only control one type of tal. And Nyxsteel is no ordinary tal!"
According to Chuck, Nyxsteel is a refined tal mineral unique to [Dying Steel Citadel], with much higher hardness and good magical conductivity compared to regular steel. It's a popular material among the city's master craftsn.
In fact, if you can successfully control Nyxsteel, there's a good chance you'll beco a master craftsman in the future.
Well, other than , Chuck is the first to call Tanaya a genius. Clearly, the values in this city are quite different from those outside.

When I use "Status Detection" on Tanaya, her status list now includes Mineral Affinity Selected - Nyxsteel and Mineral Affinity Selected - Copper. It's quite similar to the elves' "Elvenized."

After they left, I finally breathed a sigh of relief and turned to look at little Tanaya, who was gazing at with her innocent eyes.
"Brother Walson?"
"Co, let's continue the experint on your ability," I said, taking out a [Milk] from my inventory.
