Chapter 1013: Chapter 1013: Sending My Remaining Years Afar (Part 7)

Song Boxue hesitated for a mont, but still opened the box.

Inside the box were two docunts.

The first one was about an acquisition of so sort, and upon seeing it, Song Boxue’s face fell.

“Song Chuzheng, what is your relationship with Mr. Yu now?” Song Boxue looked at Chuzheng. Since she could be here, Mr. Yu must be satisfied with her, right?

But what does this acquisition plan an?

Didn’t they agree over there to let the Song Family go?

Song Boxue seed to think of sothing: “Song Chuzheng, did you say sothing to Mr. Yu? Dad knows you’ve been wronged, but your sister is in poor health. If you go over there and sothing happens, what would we do?”

As he spoke, Song Boxue started playing the emotional card again.

Song Yanran was born a few minutes later than the original, so when it was ti to choose who to send away, Mother Song decisively chose the elder one.

Because the elders always said that the older one’s body would be stronger.

And indeed, the original’s body was robust, but Song Yanran had been frail since childhood.

The original rembered hearing her grandmother say several tis that her parents would soon co to take her to the city.

But every ti, it ended in disappointnt.

Either because Song Yanran suddenly fell ill, or because of business matters, in any case, throughout those years, the original could not count how many tis she was disappointed.

Chuzheng’s brow was filled with coldness, her voice as icy as shards: “What can I say to him? I haven’t even t that person.”

Chuzheng glanced at the box, reminding him: “There’s still another one inside. Are you sure you don’t want to look?”

Song Boxue lowered his head and saw that there was indeed another docunt inside the box.

Nothing was written on it.

Song Boxue took it out and opened it to read.

Seconds later, his face turned ashen, and the hand holding the docunt began to shake.

Chuzheng coolly glanced over.

It seed to be a dossier, and Chuzheng shifted slightly to see the words Song Chuzheng on it.

Oh.

The original’s information.

Looks like that person already knows.

Chuzheng intended to leave when Song Boxue suddenly grabbed her, causing trouble: “Was it you who told him?”

Chuzheng brushed off Song Boxue, calmly denying: “I didn’t say anything.”

Not directly to him.

But she believed what she said outside would be reported back without a miss.

If I didn’t say it directly, then it wasn’t who said it.

There’s nothing wrong with that!

“If it wasn’t you, how would he know?”

Song Boxue was convinced it was Chuzheng who spoke.

“You’re going to kill our entire family, Song Chuzheng, you’re insane!”

“The trouble was caused by Song Yanran, why should I clean up her ss?” Chuzheng was also a bit curious about how Song Yanran offended Mr. Yu.

Could it be he has eyes for Song Yanran?

Doesn’t seem right…

If he liked Song Yanran, why didn’t he show up until the original died?

“She’s your sister!” Song Boxue shouted angrily.

“When you dumped… in the countryside, why didn’t you think of that?” Now they speak of kinship.

When the original ca back, she still had hope, but what was the result?!

So pitiful.

Song Boxue glared, choked by Chuzheng’s words.

“At that ti… the family situation was bad, and your sister was in poor health. It wasn’t intentional not to pick you up, and we didn’t give you any less money over the years. We worked so hard for your better life!”

In his heart, Song Boxue did feel a little guilty.

But not much.

His preference lay with Song Yanran, his considerate little cotton-padded jacket.

Such blatant favoritism is rare.

Yet Song Boxue didn’t realize this, thinking he had given money to ensure her carefree life.

Chuzheng: “The fact is, you ignored for more than ten years.”

“You…” Song Boxue couldn’t contain his rage: “Just how much does Mr. Yu know? What did you say to him?”

“I didn’t say anything.” Chuzheng repeated.

Ignoring Song Boxue’s obstruction, Chuzheng turned and left.

At this point, Song Boxue didn’t dare shout at the banquet.

“Mr. Song, please hold on.” The manager stopped Song Boxue.

Being stopped by a hotel manager, the anger surged in Song Boxue’s heart: “You’re just a manager, who gave you the right to block ?”

The manager smiled politely: “Mr. Song, please mind your manners.”

Song Boxue: “…”

While the manager held him up, Chuzheng had already disappeared.

Song Boxue looked at the guests around and couldn’t cause a scene, only giving the manager a warning glance.

Now that the Song Family had so problems, even a hotel manager dared to oppose him.

“Hey, Yanran… didn’t you just go in?”

Song Yanran had just entered when the girl who blocked Chuzheng stopped her.

“Lanlan, no, I just arrived.” Song Yanran pulled her toward a corner: “Shh, don’t be so loud, it’s bad if soone sees .”

Today, Song Boxue didn’t allow her to attend.

Song Yanran snuck in secretly.

Lanlan said in confusion: “But I just saw you going in and even talked to you…”

Though the clothes were different, when did she change?

Song Yanran scanned the crowd, not paying attention to what Lanlan said.

“Cover for , I’m going over there, don’t let my dad see.” Song Yanran looked at Lanlan earnestly.

Lanlan: “…”

But you were just talking to your dad!

What’s going on?!

Still, Lanlan nodded and covered for Song Yanran.

Song Yanran avoided Song Boxue standing amidst the crowd and slipped into a corner.

As soon as she looked, she saw the young man sitting in the booth, a blush couldn’t help but appear on her pretty face.

Song Yanran walked towards the booth: “Brother Ling Xu.”

The man in the booth turned his head, with a ruggedly handso face bearing a faint smile. Seeing Song Yanran, he raised an eyebrow slightly, exuding an aura of charisma.

“Yanran.” He got up: “Didn’t Uncle Song say you weren’t coming?”

“Ah…” Song Yanran felt a little guilty thinking of her father’s admonition, but upon seeing him, she imdiately forgot: “I… I ca secretly; Brother Ling Xu, don’t tell Dad, I’ll leave in a while.”

She ca today just to see Ling Xu.

Because of that incident, she hadn’t seen him for a long ti.

Upon hearing he returned today, Song Yanran ca over.

Ling Xu patted her head with a bit of indulgence: “Naughty.”

Song Yanran’s cheeks turned instantly red.

“Young Master Ling.”

Soone approached, familiarly throwing an arm around Ling Xu’s shoulder. His gaze shifted, eting a shy and budding Song Yanran: “Oh… Miss Song, weren’t you over there? How did you get here faster than ?”

“What?” Song Yanran confused: “I’ve been here the whole ti.”

The speaker let out a sound of surprise, looking over to the other side.

In that corner, a girl stood straight, talking to the hotel manager.

Even with just a side profile, it’s recognizable.

If that’s not Miss Song, then who is it?!

“Hey… why are there two Miss Songs?” The person scratched their head, bewildered and curious.

Upon hearing this, Song Yanran’s face changed dramatically, her heart pounding uncontrollably.

She looked over and indeed saw Chuzheng.

Song Yanran clenched her fists tightly.

How could she be here!!
