Chapter 1146: Chapter 1146: Love at First Sight in dicine (Part 3)

“When her condition stabilizes, can I talk to her about breaking up?”

Mu Keke sighs and suddenly rembers sothing, handing him her phone: “Look, I just checked, and the na of the place delivering food to her is a five-star hotel. How much does that cost?”

Han Jing glances at the phone.

There are pictures of the hotel, along with information about its restaurant.

Just from the pictures, you can tell these things aren’t cheap.

Mu Keke says, “Her aunt and uncle work so hard, and she doesn’t feel bad at all. She just wastes money like this every day…”

Han Jing had been retorted by Chuzheng with ‘Did I spend your family’s money?’, so although he also thought it was too extravagant, he didn’t say anything.

“A couple of tis now and then aren’t a big deal. Don’t be mad anymore; smile for .”

Mu Keke pouts, “Then give a kiss.”

“This is a hospital.”

“There’s no one here.”

Mu Keke fusses until Han Jing gives in. He looks around to make sure no one’s there and then leans down to give her a quick kiss.

Ding—

The rarely used staff elevator beside them opens and a tall doctor steps out. Mu Keke and Han Jing break apart as if startled.

The doctor is wearing a mask, head down, listening to his phone. Perhaps he notices soone there since his gaze drifts toward them, and then he actually stops walking.

Han Jing and Mu Keke’s hearts pound, the anxiety and nervousness of having their secret caught swirling around, making them a bit flustered.

“I have work this afternoon, so I’ll be off.” Han Jing tries to act casual as he speaks to Mu Keke: “Take care.”

Mu Keke nods slightly, “I will.”

Han Jing quickly leaves.

Mu Keke glances instinctively at the still-standing doctor, eting his deep eyes unexpectedly, making her panic and quickly look away.

The doctor moves, murmuring into his phone, “Yes, I know.”

Then he hangs up and casually puts his phone into his pocket, stepping away slowly.

Mu Keke lets out a breath.

Chuzheng had just finished lunch when she received a call from her mother, Miss Lu Ailing.

Miss Lu Ailing asks gently about her condition and then gets to the point.

“I heard from Keke that you changed rooms?”

“…”

Mu Keke still goes around reporting things!

“Yes.” Chuzheng leans against the bed, her tone indifferent, “Do you not allow it?”

Miss Lu Ailing laughs on the other side: “It’s not about allowing or not; as long as you’re comfortable, that’s all that matters. Otherwise, why do your father and I work so hard outside? It’s all for you. Although we can’t be with you, we love you very much.”

“Yes.”

Miss Lu Ailing is a bit surprised; this ti, her daughter didn’t demand they co back.

She feels a twinge of guilt: “Do you have enough money? If not, I’ll have your father transfer you so.”

“I have enough.”

After hanging up, Chuzheng soon receives a bank notification—a transfer from her father.

Chuzheng “…” Is it illegal to block parents?

Chuzheng, in her hospital gown, strolls over to the departnt chief’s office to request a change of doctor.

The departnt chief, like the nurse, asks if Chuzheng has a proper reason to change doctors, even calling Doctor Hou over for a face-to-face talk.

Doctor Hou is dumbfounded upon hearing this: “Miss Mi, are you dissatisfied with any aspect of my care? The treatnt plan I’ve set for you has no issues, and you’re recovering well. Why do you have complaints about ?”

Chuzheng: “…”

Doctor Hou’s abandoned look makes Chuzheng a little afraid.

She clutches her chest: “Don’t agitate .”

Doctor Hou: “…”

Departnt Chief: “…”

Your hand’s on the wrong spot!!

Chuzheng seems to realize this and quickly switches hands to cover her heart, looking seriously at them, as if she might imdiately lash out in a fit of illness.

Doctor Hou: “…”

Departnt Chief: “…”

Doctor Hou speaks earnestly, trying to keep his tone soothing so as not to upset her: “I’ve been in charge of you and understand your condition thoroughly. Changing doctors now is nonsense, isn’t it?”

Seeing Chuzheng silent, he continues, “If you have any dissatisfaction with , just say so, and we can negotiate.”

The departnt chief nods in agreent: “Yes, you can’t just swap your primary doctor easily; it wouldn’t be good for your treatnt.”

Doctor Hou’s treatnt plan indeed had no issues; Chuzheng couldn’t question his dical skills without disrespecting him.

So, she stubbornly insisted on changing her primary doctor, or she’d have an episode on the spot.

Doctor Hou: “…”

Departnt Chief: “…”

Heart trouble isn’t sothing to ss with!!

Doctor Hou decided to try another approach: “Miss Mi, shall I discuss it with your family?”

“They’ll agree,” Chuzheng patted her heart.

Doctor Hou listened to the thumps and almost lunged forward to make her stop; if she had a spell here, it’d be serious.

The departnt chief truly feared provoking an episode, finally glancing at the dejected, abandoned-looking Doctor Hou: “Which doctor would you like to switch to?”

Just then, soone knocked on the departnt chief’s door, then entered unexpectedly from outside, glancing around as if they hadn’t expected anyone inside.

He hesitates about entering; the patient sitting in the chair suddenly lifts a hand and points: “Him.”

Doctor Hou: “…”

Departnt Chief: “…”

Yuk Jian, unaware of the situation: “…”

Yuk Jian still wears a mask, only his beautiful eyes visible, sowhat cool.

After hearing the departnt chief’s words, he slightly furrows his brows: “It’s best not to change your primary doctor. Doctor Hou is very familiar with your situation. Changing midway might cause issues if unexpected things happen; I hope you take responsibility for your own life.”

Yuk Jian speaks slowly, with reason and objectivity.

The departnt chief persuades: “Miss Mi, you see, we’re just looking out for you.”

Chuzheng insists: “I must change.” For my sake, just let change.

Doctor Hou already doesn’t want to talk anymore; let it be however it is, he’s tried his best.

The departnt chief looks at the involved doctor.

The involved doctor’s brows don’t relax; instead, they tighten more: “If it’s the patient’s choice, as long as she can bear the consequences, I have no opinion.”

Doctor Hou hands Chuzheng’s dical records all over to Yuk Jian, leaving with a gloomy look and casting a deep glance at Chuzheng before leaving.

Chuzheng: “…”

Is it that big a deal to change doctors to look at like a heartless betrayer?!

Yuk Jian needs ti to understand Chuzheng’s case and asks her to return to her room first.

“You take .”

“I’m busy.” Yuk Jian doesn’t even lift his head, flipping through dical records as he says, “I’ll call a nurse to take you back.”

He signals a nurse over, gestures at her, and then strides away.

Chuzheng: “…”

How do I trigger an episode here?

[Miss, can you think straight? Don’t joke around with this body; it’s really fragile, and even vigorous exercise is not allowed!!]King’s Account roars to remind Chuzheng.

Hehe!

Bla , will you?

If you hadn’t given this body, I wouldn’t be this frail.
