Chapter 1193: Chapter 1193: Dark Descent (Part 13)

Survivors in the county suddenly noticed a drone flying slowly overhead, with a striking banner hanging and words written on it.

Cheng Zuo’s na was in bold.

No one knew who this Cheng Zuo was.

But later, many people recalled that if they hadn’t been brave enough to rush over at that ti, they might have died long ago.

Ji Lin leaned against the edge of the rooftop, sotis glancing at the people across the way, sotis watching Chuzheng fiddling with the remote control.

Those people are insulting her like that, and she doesn’t react?

Ji Lin leaned closer to Jiang Rushuang, startling her, and she shrank a little towards Chuzheng’s side, but Ji Lin stretched his foot to block her.

Jiang Rushuang, wary like a frightened little rabbit: “Wh…what do you want?”

Her body stayed in a retreating posture, prepared to call for Chuzheng imdiately if Ji Lin dared to do anything.

“What are you afraid of, you think I could eat you?” Ji Lin chuckled mischievously, “Are those people on the rooftop over there locked up by her?”

Jiang Rushuang looked over at the rooftop, Ji Lin observed her expression.

Jiang Rushuang’s emotions were all over her face: reluctance, anger, determination… What a ss?

“Is it? Is it that hard to answer?” Ji Lin thought Jiang Rushuang was worried about sothing and said, “Don’t worry, it’s the apocalypse, I don’t ddle. Just asking casually.”

Jiang Rushuang nodded after a while.

Ji Lin imdiately pursued, “Why though? What grudge, what resentnt? Tell .”

Bored anyway, might as well listen to so gossip.

Jiang Rushuang mumbled a few words slowly, her voice low, not daring to let Chuzheng hear.

After listening, Ji Lin let out a ‘tsk’.

Seems young, but handles things decisively.

… If she wasn’t decisive enough, he wouldn’t be here now.

“Let’s go.”

Chuzheng called from over there.

Jiang Rushuang quickly slipped away from Ji Lin’s side, Ji Lin shouted to Chuzheng, “You’re not going to deal with the people over there?”

“You want to help them kill zombies?” Is Good Person Card that kind-hearted?

Ji Lin shrugged, “I see they’re cursing vigorously, and you don’t respond. Is that fair to their enthusiasm?”

Chuzheng pondered, “How about I send you over?”

Ji Lin: “…”

Chuzheng’s face was serious and earnest, Ji Lin couldn’t tell if she was joking or not.

Ji Lin stopped provoking Chuzheng and only spoke again once in the car, “Let go, I won’t run.”

“How can I trust you?”

“If I run, I’m your grandson.”

“I don’t have a grandson like you.” I want you to be my Good Person Card, but you want to be my grandson.

“…” Damn it! Trying to take advantage of !

“There should be more trust between people, right?” Ji Lin smiled slyly, “Co on, let go, I really won’t run.”

Chuzheng remained unmoved.

Ji Lin persisted, repeatedly assuring he wouldn’t run, and Chuzheng reluctantly freed him.

Ji Lin looked down at his wrist, the camouflage uniform made his wrist look fair, but now it bore the conspicuous marks from being tied.

He rubbed his wrist, various escape plans running through his mind, but in the end, he didn’t act on them.

“Got anything to eat?” Instead of running, he asked Chuzheng for food, demonstrating remarkable calmness.

Her earlier thod was very effective, more convenient than his aimless wandering, so there’s no need to run now.

Besides, this person didn’t seem to intend him any harm, better to wait and see what happens.

Chuzheng threw so supplies to him from Jiang Rushuang’s backpack.

“You have quite a lot of supplies.” Ji Lin wasn’t polite, eating happily, “Want so?”

“No need.”

“Are you always so expressionless?”

Chuzheng gave him a cold side glance.

What’s wrong with being expressionless!?

How does it bother you!?

“If eating doesn’t shut you up, I can help.” Chuzheng threatened with the rope in her hand, nacingly.

Ji Lin: “…” So fierce.

Ji Lin scooted to the side, leaning against the window, no longer provoking Chuzheng.

Jiang Rushuang soon drove the car to the address on the banner.

Chuzheng picked a place to wait for soone, Ji Lin wanted to walk to the side, but Chuzheng grabbed the back of his collar, “Where do you think you’re going?”

Said he wouldn’t run!

Got out of the car and imdiately wanted to run!

Ji Lin pointed to a shop not far away, “Going to pick out so clothes.”

Chuzheng’s face was indifferent, “Your clothes are very clean.”

The camouflage uniform Ji Lin wore was nearly new, no dirt, why change? Excuse! All excuses! Little liar! I won’t be fooled!

“I don’t like these clothes.”

“If you don’t like them, why wear them?”

“… I had no choice, no clothes to wear, so I had to make do.” Ji Lin retreated in front of Chuzheng, “If you’re afraid I’ll run, co with then?”

Chuzheng remained unmoved, pulling him into the building next to them.

“Hey, don’t be so domineering! You won’t even let change clothes, is that how you treat a prisoner?”

“Prisoners don’t have a say.” Allow you freedom, and let you speak! “Haven’t I been good to you?”

Ji Lin staggered as he was pushed, stepping on the dirty stairs, slowly going up, talking defiantly to Chuzheng, “I’ve already apologized for what happened before, can’t you let it go?”

“Sure, listen to .”

“…”

The corridor was dimly lit, Ji Lin looked back, the light casting shadows, obscure most of his face.

He suddenly leaned forward, almost touching Chuzheng’s nose with his own.

“Do you… have a crush on ?”

“Glad you know.” Chuzheng, like a pleased father.

“…”

Ji Lin almost lost his breath, his face changing expressions before finally saying, “If you really liked , wouldn’t you at least let change clothes?”

Chuzheng was silent for a mont, “I didn’t like your clothes.” Whether you wear them or not doesn’t matter.

Ji Lin: “…”

“Ah!”

A short scream from Jiang Rushuang echoed above.

Chuzheng imdiately pulled Ji Lin up, as Jiang Rushuang ran towards them with a snarling female zombie in pursuit.

Chuzheng raised her hand, and a bolt of lightning struck down, causing the female zombie to stagger and stumble forward a few steps before finally collapsing unsteadily to the ground.

Ji Lin raised an eyebrow, with so admiration, “Thunder Series Special Ability, impressive.”

Chuzheng casually threatened, “So you’d better not run.”

Ji Lin: “…”

Chuzheng cleared the whole floor and then found a room by the window where they could see below.

Anyone coming would be visible, allowing them to either attack or defend.

Ji Lin wanted to offer advice but found nothing needed changing, leaving him sulking as he sat to the side eating.

“You’ve been eating the whole way…” Jiang Rushuang was slightly distressed about the supplies, “How can you eat so much?”

“Hungry, of course, I have to eat.” Ji Lin sat on a table, with one foot on a chair and the other dangling freely, looking like a hooligan.

Jiang Rushuang stamred, “Are you from Captain Shan’s group?”

This person felt completely different from those she encountered before.

“No.”

“…” Jiang Rushuang opened her lips, “Then why are you wearing these clothes?”

Just earlier he complained about wearing these clothes, now he smiled at Jiang Rushuang, “Because I feel like it.”
