Hua Huai didn’t expect Chuzheng to be there as well. Taking advantage of the mont when Fang Jun took Ya Cheng to et people, he imdiately headed towards Chuzheng.

Chuzheng was standing with a man. As he approached, it seed that the two had reached so sort of agreent, clinking their glasses together.

Once the man left, Hua Huai walked over, "Xiao ng."

The girl was wearing a low-key, dark-colored gown, her hair styled casually and draped down her back. In the crowd, she didn’t seem any less impressive than those ticulously grood celebrities.

It hadn’t even been long since they last t, yet he almost didn’t recognize her.

The girl nonchalantly glanced over, her gaze landing on him—cold, unfamiliar... Hua Huai felt sowhat uneasy under her stare.

"Xiao ng, I want to talk to you," Hua Huai said earnestly.

"I’m no longer your agent; what is there to talk about?"

Hua Huai looked pained, "Xiao ng, we’ve been through so much together over the years. Are you really going to be so heartless?"

"So you rember these years?"

The original person loved you so much, yet you pushed soone who loved you into the fire just to exchange for the resources you needed.

Is this the reward for those years?

The original person must have killed your whole family in a past life.

Hua Huai said, "Are you angry? About what happened with Young Master Liang last ti, I truly didn’t know. I found out what really happened later; I really didn’t know it would turn out that way. Xiao ng, are you blaming ?"

Hua Huai spoke with such sincerity, as if he truly wasn’t aware.

Chuzheng didn’t seriously listen to what he was saying, her gaze swept around the room, sighing inwardly.

So many people...

Just as Chuzheng was contemplating tricking Hua Huai into the lounge, Fang Jun called to him from not far away.

Hua Huai, at present, didn’t dare to show Fang Jun any disrespect: "Xiao ng, wait for here. I’ll speak with you in a bit, you must wait for ."

Chuzheng’s face remained indifferent, "..."

In your dreams!

-

"Mr. Zheng, please give a chance, just listen to my song..."

The young man stood in the dim light, speaking humbly to soone, holding a USB drive in his hand, hoping to give it to them, but the person hadn’t taken it.

The man referred to as Mr. Zheng lit a cigarette, "Didn’t I tell you last ti, even if you let listen, it won’t help."

The young man’s tone was sincere, "Mr. Zheng, any opportunity will do, really..."

"This..." Mr. Zheng was obviously troubled, "Our company really has no plans for this now. Are you putting in a difficult spot? Let think it over again for you."

"Thank you, Mr. Zheng." The young man’s tone clearly carried a hint of excitent.

Mr. Zheng sighed, took the USB drive from the young man’s hand, and instructed him to leave quickly.

Mr. Zheng turned and went inside, the young man continued to gaze in the direction of his departure, as if seeing his hope for the future.

"I advise you not to sign with him."

A sudden voice ca from behind.

The young man turned swiftly in shock, like a startled young beast, casting a wary gaze into the depths of the darkness.

Chuzheng leaned against the nearby railing, her gown too understated, blocked by sothing beside her, making her unseen to others.

"It’s... you."

Sheng Yan didn’t expect to see her here.

For the past half-month, he had been wanting to call her, but he had too little money on him, not even enough to treat her to a decent al, so he never dared to call.

Chuzheng stepped out of the shadows, "That person is no good."

"Mr. Zheng?"

"Yes."

Sheng Yan glanced around, "Why?"

Why?

Because you would be exploited by him until you turn dark.

Sheng Yan is an orphan, raised by an old man.

Perhaps because he’s an orphan, Sheng Yan has a soft personality. When others bully him a little, he yields a lot, making him seem especially easy to bully in others’ eyes.

In addition, with Sheng Yan’s outstanding appearance, he was frequently picked on by others.

Yet this kid is also strong-willed, whether being bullied or ridiculed, he persevered.

The only thing Sheng Yan liked was music, but the old man who raised him couldn’t afford to send him to a good music school.

Sheng Yan tinkered on his own, forming a band, but eventually, he was the only one who persisted.

This Mr. Zheng was the beginning of Sheng Yan’s tragedy.

Sheng Yan had talent, both in songwriting and composing, Mr. Zheng had already seen Sheng Yan’s potential, but when Sheng Yan sought him out, he kept him hanging.

Eventually, he reluctantly agreed, so when Sheng Yan signed the contract, he didn’t bother to read it closely.

That contract was essentially about exploiting his value, making money for the company, while he received a pitiful amount himself.

When Sheng Yan realized he had been deceived, it was too late; he was tightly controlled by the company, having to follow their arrangents.

But even a rabbit will bite when it’s cornered, not to ntion a person.

The old man who raised Sheng Yan fell seriously ill, requiring a large sum of money; Sheng Yan asked the company for it, but they refused to pay and instead assigned him work.

Although he eventually obtained the money, the person was already gone.

This incident was like a key that opened Pandora’s Box. From then on, Sheng Yan seed to beco a completely different person, embarking on a path of darkness.

And now, none of this has yet happened.

The boy is still the drear who only wants to sing.

Chuzheng didn’t answer his question, only asking him, "Do you want to sing?"

Sheng Yan nodded, "Yes."

Aside from a streak of dyed blue in his hair, Sheng Yan looked like an exceptionally well-behaved boy no matter how you viewed him.

Chuzheng’s gaze swept across his face, "Are you willing to pay any price for it?"

Sheng Yan cautiously stepped back.

With his looks, he wasn’t unfamiliar with hidden rules, but that wasn’t the path Sheng Yan wanted to take.

Chuzheng stared at him for a minute, then, "I have a studio, are you interested in signing?"

Sheng Yan’s eyes slightly contracted, a hint of surprise surfacing, but he quickly cald down, suppressing that flicker of joy.

He clenched his hanging hand, "What price do I have to pay?"

"No price necessary." Chuzheng stepped forward a few steps, and the boy could clearly see her eyelashes, her eyes filled with fragnts of light, yet silent as the Black Night.

Her gaze on him was different from others’.

She quietly watched him, as if looking at sothing particularly important...

Important?

"Then why would you sign ?"

"Because you want to sing, I can support you."

This is what he had always wanted.

Now such an opportunity was right in front of him...

"Think it over and call ." Chuzheng walked past him, her voice drifting through the night breeze, Leisurely, clear and cold, devoid of any fluctuation: "If you want to sign with that Mr. Zheng, I suggest you thoroughly read the contract first."

If Good Person Card doesn’t call her, then she’ll have to buy that Mr. Zheng’s company... such a hassle.

Being so concerned for Good Person Card is exhausting.

Why am I so unlucky as to encounter such a troubleso little thing?
