Chuzheng didn’t refuse, she let Father Yan carry it.

Father Yan had already prepared for a rejection. Previously, when they tried to take her backpack, she had refused...

When Father Yan took the things from Chuzheng’s hands, he suddenly seed to gain so vitality, and his aged face looked spirited.

"Sit... sit... I bought a new chair today, it’s not dirty." Father Yan pointed to a chair in the room.

Chuzheng saw that the table was already set with dishes, and she didn’t refuse, keeping her hands in her new pants pockets and sitting happily.

"What are you dazed for, quickly bring over the chicken soup."

"Okay."

The original host’s biological parents had been very cautious ever since the original host returned ho.

Of course, they weren’t bad to her before either, as long as it was within their capabilities, they would et her requests.

Father Yan carried all of Chuzheng’s things into her room. When he ca out, Mother Yan had just brought the chicken soup.

There wasn’t much chicken soup, they probably only bought half a chicken, but they gave the drumstick to Chuzheng right away.

Chuzheng had never been picky about food; she glanced at the person across from her and bowed her head to start eating.

Seeing her eat, both Mr. and Mrs. Yan breathed a sigh of relief.

-

In the evening, Chuzheng changed the things on her bed and unpacked her other daily necessities.

She glanced at the things that were not yet touched beside her, carried them out, and handed them to Father Yan in the living room.

Her face was cold, and she exuded a distant indifference: "I bought too much. You guys use it."

"N-No need..." Father Yan waved his hand: "Keep it, you should keep it for yourself, we don’t need..."

"Take them."

Father Yan froze, and after a while, tremblingly took them.

"Change them. I’ll check tomorrow." Chuzheng threw down these words and returned to her room.

Father Yan: "..."

Father Yan had no idea what Chuzheng bought, he just knew that he had never touched such comfortable bed sheets in his life.

"Do we really have to change them? They’re quite expensive..."

"She said she’s coming to check tomorrow..." Father Yan hesitated and finally said, "Let’s change them."

The two of them rustled as they changed the bed sheets and covers.

Even though the house was shabby, the soundproofing was quite good. Chuzheng lay on the newly revamped bed, fiddling with the original host’s phone that had been turned off for two days.

The phone had ssages from the original host’s classmates asking why she hadn’t gone to school.

With such a big event happening, the original host had no mood to attend school.

The classmates at the school probably didn’t know yet and just thought she had so personal matters and didn’t attend school.

However...

Soon enough, the person whom she exchanged places with will spread this matter around.

After finishing with the phone, Chuzheng lay down to sleep, but...

There were indeed a lot of cockroaches.

Is there a cockroach nest here?

The original host’s trauma was well-founded!!

Chuzheng sat up, and a silver thread extended from her wrist to catch the cockroaches.

The silver thread probably never thought it would be used like this one day. It quickly and ruthlessly caught the cockroaches. When it returned to Chuzheng’s wrist, not a single cockroach was left.

Chuzheng touched her wrist with satisfaction and lay back down.

Ti to sleep!

-

Chuzheng said she wanted to check, so the next morning, with her hands in her pockets, she strolled to the entrance to take a look.

Mother Yan ca out of the kitchen just in ti to see Chuzheng peeking into the room.

"Breakfast is ready, would you like to have so?"

Chuzheng casually turned around and took a stead bun from the table.

Mother Yan visibly relaxed when she saw her eat.

They had just brought her back, and they really didn’t know her personality yet. So when Chuzheng looked aloof, Father and Mother Yan didn’t find it odd.

Father Yan had gone out early, and after breakfast, Mother Yan also needed to go out for work.

Chuzheng wanted to stay at ho, but her phone kept receiving text ssages from the original host’s deskmate asking why she wasn’t going to class.

Chuzheng tidied up, grabbed her backpack, and went out.

By then, most people had already gone out, either to work or to school, and all the doors were tightly closed.

Just as Chuzheng was going down to the second floor, the door of the unit closest to the stairs suddenly opened, an elderly man was pushed out, almost bumping into Chuzheng.

Chuzheng imdiately stepped back up a level.

A boy, about seventeen or eighteen, followed the elderly man out and kicked him.

The elderly man couldn’t stand steady and fell directly onto the ground.

The boy didn’t let up and continued to kick, each kick full of force, as if he had a deep-seated grudge against the elderly man.

"Old bastard, mind your own business, why don’t you just go and die!"

"Where’s the money? Where did you put the money?"

The boy looked very skinny; the clothes seed to hang on him, and he looked pale with heavy dark circles under his eyes.

He cursed as he kicked, leaving the elderly man unable to speak from the beating.

Chuzheng weighed her backpack and suddenly swung it at the boy.

The backpack hit the boy’s arm, interrupting his actions. He looked up and saw the person standing on the stairs.

The girl with a light pink backpack, stood elegantly in the drab stairwell, her gaze was cold and distant, not fitting the rundown building at all.

The boy was stunned for a mont, then furiously yelled, "Who the hell are you!?"

The girl’s response was a swift kick. The boy, caught off guard, was kicked and slamd into the balcony behind him.

"Shit!"

The boy cursed and lunged at Chuzheng.

In the narrow staircase, the two started fighting. The boy was no match for Chuzheng and was quickly pinned to the floor.

"Stop fighting, stop fighting!!" The elderly man suddenly lunged over, protecting the boy in his arms, and glared angrily at Chuzheng: "Where did this little girl co from, who told you to hit my grandson?"

Chuzheng: "??"

What the hell?!

It’s my fault again?!

The elder didn’t care at all about being beaten by his grandson just now, his face full of concern: "Qiang Qiang, are you alright?"

Qiang Qiang was in too much pain to speak.

"Who’s family are you from... stop, you’re not allowed to leave!!"

Chuzheng quickly went downstairs, leaving the voices behind.

"Bastard, you saw it, it’s not that I don’t want to be a successor of socialism, reality just doesn’t allow it."

What the hell is wrong with these people!

I helped, and it’s still my fault?

Fine, it’s all my fault!

If it weren’t for the good person card, who would care!

[...]

King’s Account didn’t want to speak.

-

By the ti Chuzheng arrived at school, classes had already started.

However, the original host had taken leave beforehand, so the guard let her in.

Chuzheng didn’t enter the classroom while class was in session, instead, she waited until break and then slowly walked into the classroom with her backpack.

"Chuchu."

Her deskmate He Shan saw her and imdiately ca over.

"Where have you been? Taking so many days off?"

Chuzheng hung her backpack on the chair: "Nowhere."

He Shan frowned: "Chuchu, what’s wrong? Are you upset?"

He Shan had been the original host’s deskmate since middle school and knew her very well. Now seeing Chuzheng’s cold face, she could definitely sense sothing was off.

"No."

He Shan: "..."

Your face is almost frozen, and you call this not being upset?!
