Chapter 1438: Chapter 1438: Notes from the Seventies (13)

“Fever…” Chuzheng pushed him back to lie down, “Don’t move around.”

Wun Sheng wanted to get up.

“If you move again, I’ll strip you naked.”

“…”

Wun Sheng froze in place.

Chuzheng released him, walked outside, lifted the door curtain, then turned her head back: “If you dare run, and I catch you, you’re dood.”

Wun Sheng listened to the silence outside, propped himself up, and slowly moved towards the door.

He lifted the curtain slightly, outside was a main room.

There wasn’t much in the main room, and Wun Sheng walked directly towards the door.

He tried to open the door, but found it locked.

Wun Sheng turned to the side, preparing to leave through the window.

But the window was either locked shut or too high and narrow to climb out of.

Having moved around, Wun Sheng was already sweating all over.

He leaned against the wall and walked back to the room he was just in, sitting on the bed’s edge.

After an unknown amount of ti, Wun Sheng heard the sound of a door opening.

Chuzheng led soone in and pointed at Wun Sheng: “Take a look at him.”

The person who entered clearly recognized Wun Sheng and exclaid, quickly retreating outside.

Chuzheng grabbed the person back: “Why run?”

“He…he…he…” The whole village said this person was possessed!!

Chuzheng directly stuffed money into their hands.

“…”

Chuzheng was lucky; the Barefoot Doctor happened to be in the village and hadn’t left. If she were a little later, he would have been gone.

The Barefoot Doctor obviously had heard about Wun Sheng and had seen him too.

If Chuzheng hadn’t offered a lot of money, the Barefoot Doctor wouldn’t have dared to stay.

Wun Sheng was very resistant to the person, refusing to cooperate.

Like an enraged little beast, he showed all his claws and fangs, bristling with spikes.

Chuzheng directly grabbed him, held him in her arms, and pulled his hand over for the Barefoot Doctor to check his pulse.

“Be good, don’t be afraid.” Chuzheng held him, pressing his head against her shoulder, seriously assuring, “No one will hurt you.”

Wun Sheng’s body was stiff but in the end, he didn’t struggle anymore.

The Barefoot Doctor took his pulse and then examined his body.

“He caught a cold… I’ll prescribe so dicine. Just take it as prescribed.”

These days, most Barefoot Doctors practice traditional Chinese dicine, skills passed down through generations.

Of course, Western dicine is sowhat expensive for people of this era, and they can’t afford it.

The Barefoot Doctor wrote the prescription, glancing at the two of them.

Chuzheng openly held the person, took the prescription, and fished out so money: “About today…”

“I know nothing, I know nothing.” The Barefoot Doctor was eager to take the money.

Chuzheng raised her hand, and the Barefoot Doctor missed catching the money.

“If I hear any rumors outside, you’d better watch out.”

Despite her young age, the girl’s presence was imposing, making them shiver with fear.

The Barefoot Doctor promised: “I’m just a doctor, not a gossip, not a gossip.”

Chuzheng let the money fall, and the Barefoot Doctor hurriedly took it.

“Go ahead.”

“Ah.”

The Barefoot Doctor hurriedly packed up and left.

Chuzheng still held Wun Sheng: “Want to sleep a bit more?”

This person had little flesh on his body; he felt like bones when touched.

Who knows what kind of life he’d been through before…

The Good Person Card is really miserable.

It took a long ti for Wun Sheng to shake his head and he pushed against Chuzheng’s hand, pushing her away.

Chuzheng let him go, and Wun Sheng moved a bit further away, pursing his lips without speaking.

Chuzheng stood up and ruffled his ssy hair: “Then you sit there, I’ll send soone to get the dicine for you.”

The hair was quite soft.

She patted it once more.

Before Wun Sheng could get angry, Chuzheng knew when to stop, left the room with the prescription.

Wun Sheng went down to check once more, and the door was still locked.

Wun Sheng: “…”

This should still be in the village, but Wun Sheng didn’t know whose house it was…

As Wun Sheng was thinking, the door opened again.

Ling Jun and a young man ca in carrying things.

“Oh, you’re awake… Where’s Sis?”

Wun Sheng saw the open door, and his first instinct was to run.

Ling Jun was startled and shouted to the young man beside him: “Grab him!”

This man was left here by Sis. As the village bully under her command, how could he let him run away!!

“Ah!”

The young man let out a scream, wanting to make a move but was held back by Ling Jun.

“Don’t hit, Sis brought him.” Ling Jun pulled Wun Sheng back inside: “Don’t run, if Sis cos back and you’re gone, how will I explain it, I don’t want to get beaten.”

The young man stood outside shaking his hand: “Damn, how can he bite!!”

Wun Sheng was locked back in the room.

Only then did he realize the room had a door that could be locked.

This kind of room had poor soundproofing, he could clearly hear people talking outside.

“Isn’t he that Wun Sheng?”

“Yeah.”

“Why did Sis bring him back? Interested?” The young man spoke freely.

“…How would I know, but he sure is good-looking, way better than Xu Dawei.”

“Where’s Sis gone?”

“Don’t know, maybe went out…”

“I’ll whip up sothing to eat first.”

“Shit! Got any dicine? His bite drew blood, hope he doesn’t have any disease!”

When Chuzheng ca back, Ling Jun and another buddy were already slurping food.

“Sis, you’re back.”

“Sis, oh God you’re back, look where he bit !!” The young man imdiately showed the bite mark on his arm, complaining.

“…Why provoke him?”

“He was trying to run.” The young man said: “Ling Jun asked to help stop him, he didn’t seem like he could attack, who knew he’d bite!”

Chuzheng’s heart jumped: “Ran?”

“No, he’s still locked inside.” Ling Jun pointed to the room.

Chuzheng breathed a sigh of relief, handed them the dicine: “Go brew the dicine.”

“Sis, are you sick?”

“Do I look sick? Cursing for nothing!”

“…”

No, she didn’t look like it.

Then it must be for the person inside.

Ling Jun took the dicine: “Sis, will you eat?”

“I don’t take dicine.”

I’m not sick, why would I take dicine.

Ling Jun: “No, I ant will you eat food…”

“Did you buy everything?”

“Yes.” Ling Jun quickly brought out the things: “It’s all here.”

Chuzheng opened up the packages, took out the clothes first, then rummaged through other things and handed the unnecessary items to Ling Jun: “Cook so porridge, you can divide the rest among yourselves.”

Chuzheng took the things into the room, Wun Sheng sat in the corner of the bed, face buried in his knees.

Chuzheng put the clothes down: “Change your clothes.”

Wun Sheng lifted his head from his knees, casting his gaze outside the door.

“Once you’re better, I’ll let you go.” Chuzheng said.

Wun Sheng’s gaze returned, seemingly questioning if she ant it.

“Change your clothes.” Chuzheng pointed at the clothes.

Only after a while did Wun Sheng move over, taking the clothes, he looked at Chuzheng, motioning for her to leave.

“I’ve already seen it, what are you afraid of?”

Wun Sheng tightened his grip on the clothes, his eyes slightly reddening, obviously in anger.

Chuzheng, amidst the roaring voices in King’s Account, reluctantly abandoned the idea of helping him change, stepped back, and left the room.
