Chapter 1445: Chapter 1445: Tales of the ’70s (20)
Ling Dazhuang and Ling Shan were reportedly sent to the farm to tend to the cattle. The conditions there are harsh and can’t compare to the village.
And so, Wun Sheng started living at Ling Jun’s house.
Rumors about Chuzheng standing up for Wun Sheng began circulating in the village again.
This ti, Chuzheng didn’t bother to hide it, as it was obvious to everyone that she fancied Wun Sheng.
So in the eyes of everyone, it looked like two people possessed by spirits found each other.
Chuzheng carried things into the house; Ling Jun and a few others were playing cards. When they saw her, they hurriedly packed up their things.
“Sis.”
“What’s he doing?”
“Sleeping.”
Chuzheng nodded and walked in with the items.
Wun Sheng lay on the bed, not asleep. As soon as she entered, he sat up, avoiding her gaze, looking sowhat evasive.
His mind these days was filled with the scene of her kissing him that day…
He knew he shouldn’t think about it, but he just couldn’t help it.
Chuzheng, with a natural expression, placed the things she brought in front of him.
“Eat up.”
Wun Sheng, trying to cover his embarrassnt, obediently picked up the chopsticks and began to eat.
“Cough cough cough…”
With the first bite, Wun Sheng was choked badly, his entire face turning red.
“What’s wrong?”
Wun Sheng squeezed out a word from between his lips: “Spicy…”
Chuzheng: “…”
Chuzheng took Wun Sheng’s chopsticks and tried a bite of the dish. It was sowhat spicy… but not unbearable.
Yet, Wun Sheng’s eyes were already red from the spiciness.
Chuzheng stared at him for a few seconds, exhaled softly, and forced herself to look away.
She put that dish aside and handed him the chopsticks: “Eat sothing else.”
Wun Sheng: “…”
His gaze slowly fell on the chopsticks, not moving for quite a while.
“What are you staring for, want to feed you?”
Wun Sheng shook his head and lowered his head to pick up so food.
Afraid that Chuzheng would notice sothing, he almost buried his head in his bowl.
“Eat more vegetables, the doctor said you’re malnourished.”
Every day, Chuzheng brings various ingredients over. It’s unknown who prepared the als, but they taste very good.
Wun Sheng usually couldn’t finish, and the leftovers beca Ling Jun and the others’ als.
In these tis, having at every day was incredibly enjoyable.
Villagers passing by Ling Jun’s house daily could sll the aroma of at, making many envious.
–
That day, while Chuzheng was lazing around at ho, a mber of the Villain Village Tyrant Group ca running urgently to summon her.
“Sis, hurry, co see sothing interesting.”
Chuzheng replied with a cold face: “Not going.”
What interesting thing haven’t I seen yet, unless there are aliens, nothing surprises in this broken village.
“Sis, co on!!”
“…”
The Villain Village Tyrant Group insisted on dragging Chuzheng to see sothing interesting, demonstrating the sa persistence they had when trying to beco her followers.
Chuzheng was forced to comply.
She followed the Villain Village Tyrant Group up the mountain and saw Ling Jun and so others squatting on the mountain road from a distance.
“What are you doing?”
“Shh.” Ling Jun gestured for Chuzheng to be quiet.
“…”
Ling Jun led Chuzheng uphill, and she followed indifferently.
At first, they took a path, but later they went straight through dense wild grass until they reached an area so remote that villagers wouldn’t normally venture there.
“Sis, look over there.” Ling Jun whispered, pointing for Chuzheng to see.
Chuzheng looked over indifferently.
Monts later, she turned her head: “Is this what’s interesting?”
Ling Jun was montarily speechless: “Isn’t this interesting?”
“I’ve seen it before.”
Ling Jun: “!!”
Over there were Xu Dawei and Ling Jiaojiao.
The wild grass was flattened over a large area where they had been lying.
Standing at a higher vantage point, Chuzheng had a clear view of what was happening below.
Chuzheng, uninterested, headed back: “What are you doing out here?”
This place was extrely remote.
Besides people like Xu Dawei and Ling Jiaojiao who want to do things, who would co here for no reason?
Seeing Chuzheng leave, Ling Jun had no choice but to lead the Villain Village Tyrant Group after her: “Catching rabbits, of course.”
Chuzheng asked: “Caught any?”
Ling Jun chuckled: “Caught two. Sis, let’s roast them later.”
Chuzheng wasn’t very interested, but after thinking for a mont, she asked soone to go fetch Wun Sheng.
Wun Sheng didn’t expect Chuzheng to call him up the mountain to roast rabbits, but being surrounded by familiar people, he didn’t show much resistance.
Ling Jun and the others also picked so wild fruits, washed them, and handed them to Chuzheng.
Chuzheng looked at them: “Are these poisonous?”
“Sis, no way they’re poisonous,” Ling Jun said. “We know pretty well what on this mountain can be eaten.”
Chuzheng selected one that looked good and handed it to Wun Sheng.
Wun Sheng took a bite, finding it juicy and sweet.
Watching him finish eating, Chuzheng, assured it was safe, handed him two more.
“Brother, why are you eating like a girl?” soone laughed. “Watch finish it in one bite.”
Hearing that, Wun Sheng’s expression darkened.
Chuzheng felt a chill around her and, turning her head, she saw Wun Sheng’s gloomy expression.
Quickly, she grabbed his wrist.
Only after a mont did Wun Sheng turn to look at her. Chuzheng, following his wrist, held his hand tightly, intertwining her fingers with his.
The ferocity in Wun Sheng’s eyes faded, restoring his gentle deanor.
Chuzheng: “…”
Scared to death, why did he suddenly beco so dark?!
Chuzheng recalled their earlier words carefully, leaning slightly towards him: “You don’t like being called girly?”
Wun Sheng lowered his head, his lips against the fruit, biting slowly.
Watching his profile, Chuzheng seed deep in thought but said nothing further, instead calling Ling Jun over to speak a few words.
Ling Jun scratched his head: “But he really…”
Chuzheng slightly lifted her eyelids: “Try saying it again.”
Ling Jun covered his mouth, laughing awkwardly before going aside to pass on Chuzheng’s orders.
When the rabbit at was roasted, Ling Jun gave Chuzheng the rabbit leg portion.
Chuzheng took a knife and sliced all the at into pieces, placing them on leaves before handing them to Wun Sheng.
Wun Sheng never moved by himself and was fed so much by Chuzheng that his stomach was round.
Clutching his stomach, Wun Sheng felt a bit overstuffed.
Chuzheng peeled a candy and brought it to his lips; Wun Sheng instinctively opened his mouth to bite onto it.
The soft, warm tip of his tongue accidentally brushed against Chuzheng’s finger, slightly moist.
Chuzheng calmly withdrew her hand, and when Wun Sheng had nearly finished the candy, she pulled him up.
“Hmm?”
Wun Sheng looked at Chuzheng in confusion.
“Let’s walk to digest.” Chuzheng said earnestly.
Wun Sheng indeed felt a bit stuffed and nodded obediently.
However, Wun Sheng soon regretted it; he shouldn’t have believed her words.
Wun Sheng found himself pinned down by Chuzheng in an empty part of the forest.
If it weren’t for Ling Jun and others shouting from afar, he doubted she would have let him go so easily.
Returning to the group, Ling Jun and the others looked at him with smiles, their expressions sowhat ambiguous.
Wun Sheng: “…”
Wun Sheng kept his head down, quickly passing them.
Chuzheng caught hold of him: “What are you running for, is a ghost chasing you?”
Wun Sheng was forced to stop, looking down at their intertwined hands, he blinked slowly, exhaled, and gently returned Chuzheng’s grip.
