"Jih Youtang is not a target for hunting?" That psychopath, doesn’t he intend to kill everyone in every level?
"He generally doesn’t kill with his own hands." Xi Mu seed to know quite a bit about him: "He won’t kill all the players in this round either."
Chuzheng: "..."
The thought process of a psychopath is really hard to understand.
Yang Yuanhang...
Chuzheng thought about that player; he seed much more normal compared to Jih Youtang.
Yet he was strong enough to wound Xi Mu...
"Isn’t that Prop Card only usable once?"
He should have used a Prop Card when he left that building before, and he just used it again...
Xi Mu moved his hand, which was covering his forehead, upward and did not answer her question. Instead, he asked: "Which round is this for you?"
"Four."
Xi Mu scoffed.
"You’re really unlucky." To encounter a red-na player in the fourth round.
Chuzheng’s expression turned cold: "eting you must be the bad luck."
The Good Person Card is just a troubleso entity.
Xi Mu: "..."
Encountering Yang Yuanhang is worse luck than eting him, right?
Xi Mu covered his eyes again and said: "Prop Cards can be upgraded in the later stages to increase usage tis or even be permanently owned."
Once you’ve drawn or grabbed a Prop Card... in whatever manner you obtain it, as long as it’s the sa type, it can be upgraded.
Until it upgrades to permanent ownership.
But, even permanently owned Prop Cards have usage limits.
For example, Xi Mu’s card, after use, drastically depletes energy, requiring a long ti to recover.
Xi Mu recovered relatively quickly; if it were soone else, they probably would be bedridden for a whole day.
Xi Mu slept again for a while, then after he woke up, he took an energy bar out from his coat pocket to satiate his hunger.
He leaned on the sofa to stand up.
By this ti, it was getting dark outside, and the light in the room was dim.
Faintly, you could hear the sounds of zombies moving around outside.
Xi Mu didn’t see Chuzheng, he adjusted his coat and headed outside.
This corridor was different from the ones in the school buildings; it was enclosed in glass, allowing one to see outside.
Chuzheng stood by the glass, watching the aimless movents of the zombies below.
The entire campus was exceptionally quiet, no gunshots, no screams.
Xi Mu adjusted his coat as he walked toward the stairs. When passing by Chuzheng, he paused slightly and warned her: "When you see Yang Yuanhang, stay away from him. You’re no match for him."
Out of appreciation for her bandaging his wound, he gave her this warning.
Thinking this, Xi Mu continued to move forward.
As he reached the stairs, he looked back to see Chuzheng following him.
Xi Mu frowned, impatiently: "Why are you following ?"
"To protect you."
"You?"
The skepticism in Xi Mu’s tone was obvious.
"." Chuzheng held her chin slightly high, half her face lit by the faint glow from beyond the glass.
Just two simple words, yet they seed to carry an air of arrogance and confidence.
"Do I look like soone who needs protection?" Xi Mu arrogantly said: "You’re a newbie, talking like this, you’ve got so nerve."
She didn’t even know about red-na players or the upgradeable Prop Cards.
Yet she dared to say she would protect him...
Inside, Xi Mu felt it was laughable.
But among the laughter, there seed to be so other emotions mixed in, though Xi Mu didn’t think deeply about it.
Chuzheng seriously assessed him from top to bottom and nodded: "Yes, you do."
"..."
Xi Mu didn’t know what about him seed to need protection.
He exhaled slightly: "Why do you want to protect ?"
"Because you’re..." Chuzheng changed her wording: "I want to be a good person, to protect you, this patient."
Today too, striving to be a good person!
A patient...
She really dared to say it.
Xi Mu tilted his head, a glimr flitting through his peach blossom eyes: "Following is fine."
"Okay."
"With conditions."
"Speak."
"Obey ." The boy’s lips curved slightly: "If you can do that, I’ll take you with ."
This girl...
She gave him a sowhat different feeling; he wasn’t too keen on leaving her here.
Bringing her along wouldn’t do him any harm, just an extra person.
"Sure." Whether or not I listen then depends on my mood. Given how weak you are, when haven’t you needed to save you!
Xi Mu had no clue about Chuzheng’s thoughts and turned his head to continue down: "Keep up."
Chuzheng followed Xi Mu down the stairs.
He didn’t leave this building, but was instead searching for sothing in the rooms below.
"What are you looking for?"
Xi Mu didn’t answer, searching through each room one by one.
Finally, he found a school uniform in a box and threw it to Chuzheng.
"Put it on."
"Why?"
"Trust , it’s the right move." Xi Mu didn’t want to explain.
No need to argue with the patient.
Remain calm!
I’ll settle counts with him when he’s better.
Chuzheng put on the school uniform.
Chuzheng thought of a question: "Your spawn point was in that cubicle. Did you strip the uniform off a zombie?"
There wasn’t much space in that area.
The only available uniforms were on the zombies.
The Good Person Card was so unscrupulous?
Xi Mu’s mouth twitched, impatiently answering her: "Instead of focusing on where my uniform ca from, why not think about clues."
"Didn’t you throw away the diary?"
"It only had a few numbers written in it; every page was the sa."
Xi Mu recited the numbers to Chuzheng.
A long string, a total of three sets.
No idea what these numbers were for, they could very well be useless clues.
Xi Mu found a way out, and after breaking the lock, they left.
He just walked out, with a zombie two ters away.
Chuzheng frowned, a silver gleam flashing on her wrist.
Yet, the zombie didn’t seem to notice Xi Mu. He walked right past it.
Seeing Chuzheng hadn’t followed, he turned back and looked at her.
Chuzheng calmly followed Xi Mu’s path, and sure enough, the zombie didn’t attack her either.
Was it because of the school uniform she was wearing?
Jih Youtang also wore a school uniform...
Did this uniform prevent the zombies from attacking them?
But Jih Youtang had been attacked before, hadn’t he?
Chuzheng couldn’t quite understand. She didn’t ask Xi Mu either.
Big shots need face; you can’t ask them everything.
On the path ahead, the zombies didn’t attack them, almost as if they were of the sa kind.
Xi Mu seed to walk casually, but in reality, he ensured he made no sound.
Chuzheng had a vague guess.
And soon, this guess was confird.
When they were fifty ters away from the building in front, there was a faint noise from the flowerbed behind them.
The surrounding zombies turned to look at them in unison.
Xi Mu bolted imdiately.
Chuzheng: "..."
I... Goddamnit!
You’re not going to call ?
The zombies seed to have a switch turned on, and they rushed at Chuzheng frantically.
Chuzheng couldn’t spare ti to complain, she quickly chased after Xi Mu.
Xi Mu turned a corner and disappeared; Chuzheng didn’t catch up. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a foot poking around a corner and quickly pivoted toward it.
The person was standing against the wall, just about to poke his head out to look around when the vision in front of him darkened. Then soone grabbed his shoulder, and he was hit in the abdon.
"Ah..."
The zombies, hearing the noise, started heading in their direction with chaotic footsteps.
