Chuzheng refused to get in the car, Bai Dongai found it a bit odd, so he simply got out and pushed the bike along with her.

"What’s up with you?" Bai Dongai asked curiously, "Why are you unhappy during the New Year?"

Chuzheng: "..."

Bai Dongai seed to think of sothing: "Have those relatives of yours co around again?"

Chuzheng: "..."

Did the original owner tell him about this?

Obviously, Bai Dongai knew.

"Just ignore them, everyone has a few obnoxious relatives, right? Cheer up, don’t let them affect your mood."

Chuzheng: "..."

Seeing Chuzheng still expressionless, Bai Dongai pulled his backpack to the front and took out a box: "Here, a New Year gift."

Chuzheng: "..."

Oh my!

Is this the current standard among deskmates, giving New Year gifts?

Chuzheng took the box: "Thanks."

"Where’s mine?" Bai Dongai reached out.

"..."

Can I give it back to him?

Clearly not possible.

"Don’t tell you didn’t prepare anything for ?" Bai Dongai saw through Chuzheng, sighed: "I knew it, I shouldn’t expect you to prepare a gift for ."

Chuzheng: "..."

This burden belongs to the original owner, what’s it got to do with ?

Chuzheng went to the mall to buy a gift for Bai Dongai, who complained that she wasn’t thoughtful enough.

Chuzheng was too lazy to pay attention to him, buying him a gift on the original owner’s behalf, she felt she was already super amazing.

After Chuzheng finished shopping, Bai Dongai suddenly rembered the main thing: "Let’s go to the arcade later."

Chuzheng coldly refused: "Not going."

Bai Dongai wouldn’t listen: "They’re all waiting, let’s go."

They referred to classmates, the original owner had good relations with classmates, being attractive, having good grades, and a well-off family, naturally popular.

During the New Year, this group didn’t stay at ho but gathered at the arcade.

Chuzheng wanted to call their parents to co get them.

At their age, there weren’t many things they could play, so after a while in the arcade, they moved to the KTV.

Chuzheng sat in the corner, maintaining the original owner’s superficial classmate relationships.

During this ti, Father Lu called Chuzheng, asking her where she was.

Chuzheng only said she was outside, didn’t say what she was doing, hanging up before Father Lu could ask more.

When the group was done, Chuzheng went to settle the bill first.

"Strange, soone already paid," the classmate ca back, puzzled: "Who paid?"

"Not ."

"Nor ."

All the classmates shook their heads indicating none of them did.

Everyone was puzzled, this was quite odd.

Chuzheng skillfully concealed her rit, parted ways with them and headed back with Bai Dongai.

"Really not riding my bike?" Bai Dongai pointed at the bicycle: "It’ll take you a while to walk back."

A car stopped in front of Chuzheng: "I’m taking a cab."

Who’d want to ride your bike in this cold wind?

Bai Dongai: "..."

Bai Dongai watched Chuzheng get into the car and leave, his mouth twitched several tis.

Did he offend her?

The straight-A student thought carefully, seed like he hadn’t offended her, right?

Sothing had been sowhat off before...

It must be those quirky relatives of hers causing trouble.

Bai Dongai found a reasonable explanation for Chuzheng’s unusual behavior.

-

Chuzheng returned ho, her uncle’s family was still there, legs crossed watching TV in the living room.

Mother Lu was busy in the kitchen, Father Lu helping in and out.

"Xiao Chu’s back." Father Lu urged her in: "Is it cold outside?"

"It’s alright."

Chuzheng changed her shoes and entered, her peripheral vision catching the open door to her room, her brow slightly raised.

She didn’t see Lu Qian, so Lu Qian must be in her room.

Chuzheng walked to the room, pushed open the ajar door.

In the room, Lu Qian lay on her bed, playing with her computer, snack bags tossed around on the floor.

Chuzheng glanced at the display cabinet beside them, although it looked unchanged, she noticed a difference, the second row was missing one.

According to the original owner’s mory, it should be the most expensive collectible the original owner had.

Lu Qian wore headphones, didn’t notice Chuzheng entering.

Chuzheng took the computer away from behind, Lu Qian, suddenly without it, turned and faced Chuzheng’s cold gaze.

Lu Qian pouted, pulled off her headphones: "So stingy, just using your computer a bit, why look at like that."

Chuzheng closed the computer, casually tossed it aside: "Did you get my permission?"

"Second Uncle agreed." Lu Qian said righteously.

This is a common issue with many parents, when other children co around wanting to play with their child’s things, due to face-saving reasons, they readily agree.

"His agreent doesn’t an I agree."

Lu Qian rolled her eyes, got off the bed: "Not playing then, who cares."

Lu Qian started to walk out, Chuzheng pulled her back.

"Return the item."

"What item? Didn’t you get your computer back?"

Chuzheng pointed at the cabinet: "The collectible."

Lu Qian’s face slightly changed, her heart accelerated wildly.

Lu Qian pretended to be calm, upping her volu: "I didn’t take your collectible, don’t falsely accuse , who cares about your things."

Lu Qian showed disdain, wanting to exit beside Chuzheng.

Chuzheng pressed her shoulder, pushed her back.

Lu Qian, ashad and angry: "Lu Chuzheng, what are you doing!!"

"What’s up now?" The aunt from outside heard the commotion, slapped her slippers over.

"Mom, she’s bullying !" Lu Qian imdiately tattled to the aunt.

The aunt scowled: "Xiao Chu, can’t you, as a sister, be lenient, always bullying your sister, what’s your problem?"

"She took my stuff." Chuzheng spoke calmly.

The aunt looked at Lu Qian, Lu Qian shook her head: "I didn’t take her stuff, she’s slandering ."

"Did you hear? Qian Qian said she didn’t take your stuff." The aunt turned her sharp tongue to the extre: "Maybe you misplaced it, accusing our Qian Qian."

Chuzheng raised a hand, pointed to a corner of the room: "Why don’t we check the surveillance?"

Lu Qian followed her gaze, seeing a surveillance cara installed at so point in the corner, her expression turned pale instantly.

The aunt knew her daughter well, seeing Lu Qian’s reaction, she realized Lu Qian must’ve taken it.

Lu Qian didn’t expect Chuzheng to have installed surveillance in the room.

"Better yet, let’s call the police."

Chuzheng took out her phone, pressed three numbers.

After pressing, she looked up at the aunt: "After all, the missing item is worth nearly ten thousand, quite a significant sum."

The aunt: "..."

What could she have lost that’s worth ten thousand?

The thought flashed in the aunt’s mind, then she suddenly realized, couldn’t let Chuzheng call the police.

The aunt instantly called out for everyone.

Father Lu and Mother Lu hurried over: "What’s wrong?"

"She said Qian Qian took her stuff and wants to call the police."

Father Lu and Mother Lu were stunned: "What stuff? Qian Qian, did you take sothing from Xiao Chu?"

Lu Qian’s face was pale, clutching her fingers, didn’t speak.

The aunt: "So what if she took it, they’re sisters, and now she wants to call the police, what’s her deal?!"

Chuzheng said coldly: "Taking without asking is considered stealing."
