The restaurant was chosen by Chuzheng. Xi Jing was a bit uneasy about the environnt; it looked expensive...
But Xi Jing didn’t say anything, obediently sitting down with Chuzheng and silently calculating his remaining money.
"What are you looking at?"
As soon as Xi Jing sat down, he stared in one direction, prompting Chuzheng to ask him.
Xi Jing pointed over there: "That person..."
Chuzheng looked over and saw Fan Lan sitting with a man, looking very happy. The man had a doting look on his face as he gazed at her.
Chuzheng pressed Xi Jing’s hand down: "Don’t point at people, it’s rude."
Xi Jing imdiately retracted his hand: "She just saw ... but she seems to not recognize anymore."
Fan Lan’s look at him was a bit stunning, but very unfamiliar.
Chuzheng naturally knew the reason.
Just like Peng Wenchao, Fan Lan only rembered that soone helped her win back her husband’s heart, but she didn’t rember who that person was, their na, their appearance, or where they lived.
"We won’t have any more interactions with her in the future; it’s good not to know her," Chuzheng said. "Let’s order."
Xi Jing was puzzled, but seeing that Chuzheng didn’t want to talk, he obediently didn’t ask further questions.
Chuzheng flipped through the nu: "Do you want to look?"
Xi Jing glanced at the nu and felt dizzy, shaking his head slightly: "You order, I’ll eat anything."
Chuzheng casually ordered a few dishes, then turned to the waiter: "Bring these first."
The waiter took the nu and left.
-
The service was very quick; after the last dish was brought, a waiter approached.
"Hello, this is complintary fruit wine from us..."
The waiter placed a glass in front of each of Chuzheng and Xi Jing. The glasses were semi-transparent, the liquid inside colored, making the glasses look even more appealing.
Xi Jing, like a child, cautiously took a sip.
The fruit wine here seed to be different, a bit strong. Xi Jing’s face turned completely red, coughing several tis from the irritation.
Chuzheng looked up at him, the little guy was sticking out his tongue, looking aggrieved.
Chuzheng: "..."
Chuzheng handed him a glass of water: "Never had alcohol before?"
Xi Jing took the water and drank half of it, slowly shaking his head.
He thought Chuzheng would laugh at him, but she didn’t say anything, and instead, she wiped the water stain from the corner of his mouth across the table: "Do you want so?"
"Not tasty..." Xi Jing said softly.
"There are tasty ones."
Xi Jing blinked, looking quite expectant.
Chuzheng called soone over, asked a few questions, and soon soone brought over a beautifully packaged bottle of fruit wine.
Chuzheng poured Xi Jing a glass: "Try it."
Xi Jing sniffed it first, then, like a young beast, cautiously licked it. After confirming the taste was different from what he drank before, he comfortably took a sip.
"Is it good?"
Xi Jing clicked his tongue, his eyebrows curved happily: "It’s good."
"Don’t drink too much, eat sothing."
Xi Jing ate a couple of bites, poured himself another glass, and slowly finished it.
Chuzheng went out to take a call halfway, and when she returned, she saw Xi Jing’s face completely flushed, with a flamboyantly dressed woman sitting next to him. Xi Jing was shrinking into his seat.
"Little brother, just add on WeChat, why are you so afraid?" The woman continued.
"I... I don’t have it."
"What a joke, who doesn’t have WeChat these days? Don’t try to fool ."
"Want to add him on WeChat?"
A cool female voice suddenly interrupted; the woman turned to see soone sitting opposite.
Chuzheng returned, and Xi Jing’s eyes lit up, but he couldn’t get out, so he had to continue sitting inside, keeping a distance from the woman.
The woman looked at Chuzheng twice and suspiciously asked, "Are you his sister?"
"No," Chuzheng was as calm as if nothing had happened: "Do you want to add him on WeChat?"
"Yeah," the woman smiled, "Just wanted to make a friend, who knows why the little brother is so timid, scared like this, I didn’t do anything to him."
The woman and Xi Jing were still so distance apart, so there should have been no physical contact.
Chuzheng’s eyes narrowed slightly: "One million, cash or check?"
The woman was stunned: "What?"
"One million to add him on WeChat, cash or check?"
"Are you kidding!" The woman was so shocked she almost jumped up: "Are you making fun of ?"
One million for a WeChat, she thought money grew on trees!
Even sleeping with a popular celebrity isn’t this expensive.
"His WeChat is worth that price," Chuzheng said without changing her expression, "If you can afford it, it’s yours, if not, please leave now."
The woman’s face turned crimson with anger: "You must be crazy for money!" She said, grabbing her bag and leaving.
Can’t even afford a million and you want to spend on my card, you’re the crazy one.
The woman left, leaving Xi Jing still tucked inside, cheeks flushed, eyes a bit hazy.
Chuzheng looked at him for a mont, shaking the bottle on the table, it was about half empty.
Could this... make soone drunk?
Could this stuff really make soone drunk?
-
Chuzheng wearily took him back, supporting him as he fidgeted wildly on the stairs, finally opting to - carry him back!
Chuzheng was also tired and ignored him, directly taking off his shoes and tucking him into bed.
Xi Jing slept until noon the next day, waking up with a slightly aching head, staring at the ceiling for a while before gathering his wits.
He suddenly sat up.
Thinking of yesterday’s events, Xi Jing ruffled his hair in slight annoyance.
After feeling annoyed, he noticed the ti seed off, and hurriedly looked for the ti, seeing noon, he beca even more panicked.
Hastily changing clothes, he dashed out the door.
The door opened only to bump into soone, and he was semi-embraced and pushed back inside.
"I’m late..." Xi Jing said softly.
"I took the day off for you."
Xi Jing breathed a sigh of relief, naturally hugging Chuzheng’s waist, the heartbeat in his ear making him feel particularly at ease.
Chuzheng patted his head: "Does your head hurt?"
"A bit..."
"Who told you to drink so much?" She was out for just a mont, and he finished off such a big half bottle, impressive.
"It was tasty... I couldn’t stop myself," Xi Jing said softly.
Chuzheng reached out and massaged his forehead, Xi Jing cozily leaned against her, even whining like a little puppy.
Chuzheng found it both amusing and exasperating.
"Ah..."
Xi Jing, startled, seed to rember sothing.
"Did I... settle the bill yesterday?"
"Yes," Chuzheng pulled him back.
"How co I don’t rember?" Xi Jing, unconvinced, searched his pocket, pulling out a wad of cash, counting it, and finding it was exactly the sa as before.
"You’re lying to ."
"..."
"How much was it yesterday?"
"No need..."
"No way, I promised to treat you," Xi Jing stubbornly insisted on giving Chuzheng the money, clearly expressing that it was his treat, he couldn’t let Chuzheng pay.
Chuzheng had no choice, randomly quoting a number.
"Was it that much?"
"Go and ask," Chuzheng replied openly, showing no signs of lying. Suddenly, Xi Jing couldn’t doubt her.
