Chuzheng received a call from Gao Teng on her way back, there was only a short cry for help, then just the sound of dial tones.
Chuzheng: "..."
Chuzheng tried to call back, but the phone was already unreachable.
It was more than an hour later when Chuzheng found out Gao Teng’s location and rushed over.
By now the night was deep, there were only a few people on the road, and Chuzheng could see the red and blue lights flashing not far ahead.
She walked over, Gao Teng was surrounded by people, speaking. Gao Teng looked pale, seemingly quite terrified.
Gao Teng saw Chuzheng, politely declined the offer to be escorted ho, and ran over to Chuzheng.
"Miss Chuzheng..."
"What happened?"
Gao Teng still had so lingering fear, intermittently recounting what had just happened.

Upon realization, Gao Teng started sprinting, trying to call Chuzheng for help on the way.
That’s when the person behind him rushed up, choking him, the phone fell and went blank.
If it weren’t for a passerby, who noticed and scared him away, he would probably be dead now.
"I almost died." Gao Teng held his still red neck, utterly frightened.
"Did you see the person’s face?"
Gao Teng shook his head: "It was too dark, when he attacked from behind, I couldn’t see anything."
Who would attack Gao Teng?
Chuzheng had so suspicions about Wei Yi, the fugitive, he obtained ti differently than regular ti-space rchants.
Maybe... killing the target, he could gain ti?
Gao Teng was still shaken, encountering such a psychopath at night, he, even as a grown man, couldn’t handle it.
Chuzheng made Gao Teng get in the car, Gao Teng cautiously greeted the young man in the passenger seat.

"He was being hunted down."
Xi Jing widened his eyes slightly: "Who?"
"Wei Yi, probably."
Wei Yi...
Xi Jing was very familiar with this na.
"Why kill him, what benefit is it to Wei Yi?"
"I don’t know, just guessing." Gao Teng doesn’t have any enemies seeking revenge, if he wasn’t unlucky enough to encounter a random psychopath, then Wei Yi is the pri suspect.

The official investigation didn’t turn up any useful leads, the assailant avoided surveillance the entire ti, so nothing was clear except a blurry figure.
Gao Teng sent a photo for Chuzheng to see.
The person was a black blur, and in the surveillance footage, it was indistinguishable whether it was Wei Yi.
Just days after the incident, Gao Teng kept facing mishaps, a flowerpot fell on him when walking, and he narrowly missed a car accident crossing the road.
If the first ti was an accident, the second a coincidence, what about the third?

Yawning, Xi Jing got up, rubbing the corner of his eyes, dawdling to wash up.

The place accommodated Gao Teng.
Gao Teng recently moved out of the school, given his great changes, living in school wasn’t convenient.
Wei Yi watched Gao Teng go out, put down the binoculars, and donned a black coat before heading out.
He bumped into Gao Teng waiting at the red light at the intersection, unobtrusively following him.

"I freaking know." Wei Yi was impatient: "What good does nagging do, he indeed has good luck, what can I do?"

Gao Teng finished speaking and hung up.
Wei Yi had investigated Gao Teng, knowing he had a girlfriend.
But recently, his girlfriend cheated on him with a rich second-generation, leading Gao Teng to beco the target.
He must have just called his ex-girlfriend...
Years of emotions are really not sothing one can just let go of.
Wei Yi called again to confirm Chuzheng left town with that pretty-boy, stealthily following Gao Teng.
