Chapter 595: Chapter 595: Raising a Star (18) Chapter 595: Chapter 595: Raising a Star (18) [Congratulations Miss, the reward for completing the task has been credited to your account.]

Following the notification from King’s Account, Chuzheng received a call from Lan Ling, telling her that Divian had contacted her and had already arranged the advertising shoot for her.

Chuzheng acknowledged that she knew.

The shooting was scheduled for half a month later.

In that half-month, Feng Wang had made it onto the hot search twice… of course, both for not-so-good reasons.

“Teacher Chi, you’ve arrived,” Divian’s staff greeted her at the door, “Please co inside; we have a substantial volu of shooting to do today so it might be quite tough on Teacher Chi.”

“Mm.”

“Then I’ll take you to get your makeup and change your clothes first.”

“Mm.”

Chuzheng was too aloof; Liang Xi at her side offered a compensatory smile: “Thank you for the trouble.”

This was part of her duty as an assistant.

“It’s no trouble at all, this is what we should do. Teacher Chi, this way…”

The staff led Chuzheng to the makeup room.

After having her makeup done, Chuzheng arrived at the shoot location and discovered that she had a male lead.

To ensure the secrecy of the entire advertisent, Chuzheng had only seen a very small part of it beforehand, so she had no idea that there was a male lead.

At the mont, the male lead was sitting on the set, shaking his leg while scrolling through his phone, with his assistant pacing back and forth beside him, seemingly persuading him about sothing…

The male lead looked up impatiently and his gaze imdiately t Chuzheng’s.

She stood coldly at the other end, with the busy crowd behind her becoming a blurred background, singling her out, the center of attention.

Feng Wang was montarily captivated.

It was as if he had traversed ti to see soone from another universe.

Sothing was stirring in the depths of his heart.

“Little Junior Sister,” Feng Wang pocketed his phone, “have you chased all the way here?”

“You wish.” Who would pursue you all the way here, delusional much!

“Oh?” Dressed in a finely tailored suit as if he were a prince going to a ball, Feng Wang’s posture was, however, quite indecent, crumpling the luxurious suit.

Thankfully, his good looks kept him from appearing like a small-ti street hoodlum.

The staff mber leading Chuzheng introduced them: “Teacher Feng Wang is the male lead for this advertisent. Since you two know each other, I suppose I don’t need to introduce you? Get acquainted with each other—I’ll go and check on sothing over there.”

The staff mber swiftly left.

Feng Wang snorted, “How co I heard this advertisent initially didn’t sign you?”

“Rumors are not reliable.” Chuzheng took a seat on an empty chair nearby.

“Rumors?” Feng Wang clicked his tongue, “That’s not right, Little Junior Sister, what ans did you use to get this advertisent?”

Chuzheng’s face remained serious: “Divian invited .”

“Pfft…”

Feng Wang didn’t believe it one bit.

“This advertisent is thed around raging fire, Little Junior Sister, with that expressionless face of yours, how does that match the ‘raging fire’ the? The people at Divian must be blind to choose you.”

Feng Wang was sowhat puzzled.

He had specifically looked up her drama and so event interviews during this period.

Her external persona was supposed to be that of a gentle and intelligent character, not the emotionless face she had now…

“Little Junior Sister, have you been distressed because you broke up with Chu Anyang?” Feng Wang asked curiously.

Otherwise, why would her personality change so drastically?

“Do I look distressed to you?” What’s Chu Anyang anyway, would she be distressed over soone like Chu Anyang?!

“You do,” Feng Wang’s eyes wandered up and down, “He’s just a man, Little Junior Sister, you really shouldn’t care so much, there are plenty of good n out there.”

“Like you?”

“Don’t, Little Junior Sister, I have a sugar daddy,” Feng Wang replied without skipping a beat, “We’re not compatible, don’t set your heart on .”

“Oh.” Chuzheng indifferently drew back her gaze.

Having a sugar daddy, impressive indeed.

Now would be the appropriate ti to give him a round of applause.

Complying with your act, I really am a good person.

The staff mber happened to co over at this ti: “Teacher Feng, Teacher Chi, sorry to interrupt, but can we start filming the promotional video now?”

Feng Wang rely grunted.

You couldn’t say his attitude was arrogant, not entirely, since, apart from his grunts, he displayed no other behavior, and his expression was quite appropriate.

Chuzheng nodded slightly.

“The two teachers should prepare for a bit.” The staff handed them the script and imdiately went off to coordinate sothing else.

This advertisent was primarily targeted for the dostic market, so the plot was set against an Eastern backdrop.

A naive young girl opens the door to the Underground Palace, guarded by generations, gets lost inside, and encounters a man trapped in the palace.

The man was the guardian of a hereditary jewel, and the two of them et and co to know each other in the Underground Palace.

But just then, soone breaks into the palace trying to snatch the heirloom jewel.

In the struggle, the man’s blood seeps into the jewel, and flas instantly ignite, engulfing the entire Underground Palace and saving the girl.

However, the man guarding the jewel slowly fades away into the flas.

The jewel is reborn in the flas, even more dazzling than before.

This is the first era, set in ancient tis.

It is followed by the second and then the third era.

In the second era, during the ti of the Republic, amidst the chaos of war, their encounter seems insignificant and helpless.

The third era is set in the present day.

In each era, the man is drawn to the woman who possesses the jewel due to its allure, with the first two eras ending badly until the third era, where the two of them finally achieve a fruitful relationship.

Chuzheng plays the girl.

Feng Wang plays the man who guards the jewel.

There isn’t much dialogue in the advertisent, but the demands are no less than those of a TV drama.

Both Feng Wang and Chuzheng have significant issues.

There’s no need to ntion Feng Wang, with his terrible acting; the director only requires him to make expressions and nothing more.

Chuzheng’s part is sowhat difficult to deal with.

The girl from the first era is a young and innocent youth, naive and lively, which didn’t match Chuzheng’s temperant at all.

No matter what the director said, it was useless.

In the end, Chuzheng proposed a solution: swap roles.

She would play the one guarding the jewel, and Feng Wang would play the ignorant youth who breaks into the Underground Palace.

Feng Wang: “Why should I?”

Feng Wang was reluctant.

But after so thought, the director felt it was feasible: “Let’s try this for now.”

Feng Wang: “??”

The majority ruled, and Feng Wang was forced to change outfits.

Feng Wang didn’t need much acting skill; he just had to naturally play the part of a spoiled young master.

Even so, there were still endless problems.

The director even began to doubt who had been chosen for the role!

This must be soone trying to sabotage his set!

Things were much better on Chuzheng’s side, the main issue still being Feng Wang.

Half a day had passed, and the progress bar had barely moved.

The director was so furious he felt his heart condition might flare up, and he told everyone to take a break while he went to cool off.

Liang Xi and Feng Wang’s assistant brought back so refreshnts for everyone, distributing them to the staff to calm their nerves.

“Sister Chuzheng, have so water.”

Liang Xi handed Chuzheng a drink.

Chuzheng glanced sideways to see Feng Wang twisting open a bottle.

Chuzheng took the drink away from him.

“What are you doing, Junior Sister?” Feng Wang looked over: “Don’t you have one in your hand? Why take mine?”

“Go pour him so hot water,” Chuzheng instructed Liang Xi.

Liang Xi glanced at Feng Wang, then at Chuzheng, and obediently replied, “Okay.”
