Chapter 734: Chapter 734: National Demon Sprite (25)

When Chuzheng found Zhongli Luo, he was hiding next to a trash can, and Zhuang Ji was nowhere to be seen.

Zhongli Luo was injured, trembling all over.

“Xun Yin…”

Chuzheng turned her head, but the demon sprite that had been following behind her was now missing.

Chuzheng: “…”

The little guy is quite sothing, huh!

Chuzheng picked Zhongli Luo up.

“Brother Ji…”

Zhongli Luo’s voice was frail, and Chuzheng could barely make out what he was saying.

“Where is your Brother Ji?” Chuzheng asked with a poor tone, her mind preoccupied with the fact that her Good Person Card had vanished.

Zhongli Luo, trembling, pointed in a direction.

But upon going there, it was another intersection.

Now Zhongli Luo didn’t know either.

Just when Chuzheng was about to give up, a noise arose from an alley nearby.

Moving towards the sound, Chuzheng first saw the man standing in the middle, wearing an antique, luxurious long gown, his ink-black hair casually falling behind him, half of his face visible, his extraordinary beauty not hidden by the Night Color.

At this mont, that man was holding a demon sprite, and from its body, he brutally extracted the inner core.

Ultimately, he seed sowhat disdainful as he tossed aside the demon sprite, his gaze sweeping toward the corner where the young boy stood.

The man’s tongue peeked out, gently licking his lips.

The evil and fear that bred in the Dark were wandering through the air.

“Xun Yin!”

The hand the man extended towards the boy paused slightly, and with a soft cluck, it slowly retracted and slipped into his sleeve.

Chuzheng approached with Zhongli Luo in her arms and directly handed him to the man.

Xun Yin suddenly got passed a child, and his entire body stiffened for a mont.

After a brief pause, a smile erged: “Xiao Yao, is this for to eat?”

“Hold him properly, and don’t eat him,” Chuzheng warned.

Xun Yin: “…”

Xun Yin loosened his grip, and Zhongli Luo started to fall towards the ground.

Zhuang Ji’s pupils dilated, and just as he was about to leap forward, he saw the man suddenly catch the child again.

Zhongli Luo was injured, and now, frightened as well, his big, watery eyes were on the verge of tears.

“Young master.” Zhuang Ji limped forward, but before he could get close, a glance from Xun Yin froze him in his spot.

The Monster Qi on this man was dense.

Standing before him, one could feel the pressure.

He also had a nefarious aura, unlike that of ordinary demon sprites; it was a kind of tangible evil… much like the Great Demons locked within the Monster Tower.

Chuzheng was holding a demon sprite’s wrist, a pattern tattooed on it.

The more Chuzheng looked at it, the more familiar it seed.

A light went on in Chuzheng’s mind, and she pulled out the Compass; the pattern in its center was identical to the tattoo.

“That’s Xiao Yue’s thing, how did it end up in your hands?” Xun Yin’s voice rang out.

“This?” Chuzheng played with the Compass in her hand.

Xun Yin, staring at the Compass, emitted Monster Qi so intense it nearly knocked Zhuang Ji off his feet.

“I stole it,” Chuzheng said, her tone suggesting a ‘do you have a problem with that?’ attitude.

Chuzheng stood up, eting Xun Yin’s brooding gaze: “So Xiao Yue is still alive.”

Before Xun Yin could speak, Chuzheng blurted out, “That’s great.”

“I’ve seen that tattoo before,” Zhuang Ji leaned against a nearby building: “Back at Shanshui Manor.”

Chuzheng turned to look at him, but Zhuang Ji fell silent, his eyes fixated on Zhao Wang’s young master: “Can you give the young master back to ?”

That man was terrifying, and he didn’t know if the young master would be safe in his hands.

Xun Yin made a move to let go, his smile boding ill,”If this little guy falls, he’ll be dead…”

Zhuang Ji’s heart rose to his throat, and he felt a chill run through his body. He hastily said, “The person who attacked last ti had the sa pattern tattooed on his hand. I rember him, I’ve seen him at the side of the Li Family’s young lady. Can I have the young master back now?”

Zhuang Ji’s voice trembled.

He was terribly afraid that if Xun Yin was dissatisfied, the young master would end up on the ground.

Chuzheng didn’t speak, but Xun Yin had no intention of returning the boy.

The Li Family’s young lady…

Li Xiaoyu?

The original owner had indeed been in contact with Li Xiaoyu, which was why Xun Yin said she had the scent of “Xiao Yue” on her.

“Why are they trying to kill you?”

“They’re not after ,” Zhuang Ji clenched his fists, “they’re after the young master.”

“Why?” I wasn’t asking they were after you.

“I don’t know,” Zhuang Ji’s face was ashen, “they want to capture the young master.”

The incident at Shanshui Manor was the first.

This was the second.

Zhuang Ji distinctly felt that they didn’t want to kill the young master, they wanted to capture him.

Chuzheng suppressed this question, “Let’s talk about the Monster Tower.”

“…” Zhuang Ji was sowhat regretful for seeking Chuzheng’s help, fully aware that she was no benevolent demon, but he was truly desperate. He gritted his teeth, “What do you want with the Monster Tower?”

Monster Tower…

The young master…

Could it be that those people were also after the Monster Tower?!

Chuzheng said bluntly, “I want the managent rights of the Monster Tower.”

Zhuang Ji was stunned for a mont.

After a short while, he asked sowhat oddly, “You want the managent rights of the Monster Tower?”

Chuzheng nodded.

Zhuang Ji’s mind was in disarray. He took a deep breath, “This isn’t the place to talk. Let’s move to sowhere safer.”

Zhuang Ji brought Chuzheng and the others back to the villa. Zhongli Luo needed to have his wounds treated, and Zhuang Ji wanted to take him back, but Xun Yin held on and wouldn’t let go.

“Give him to him.”

Xun Yin shot Chuzheng a glare, placed Zhongli Luo on the couch, his figure darted to the window, propping himself up and leapt to sit on the windowsill.

Chuzheng: “…” Why are you glaring at ? This is soone else’s child, you still want to devour him or what?!

Zhuang Ji rushed to Zhongli Luo, “Young master?”

Zhongli Luo was barely conscious: “Hurts…”

Zhuang Ji fumbled for dicine, “It will stop hurting soon, young master. You’re the strongest, hang in there…”

While soothing Zhongli Luo, he tended to his wounds, completely ignoring his own injuries.

Chuzheng helped herself, poured a glass of water, and sat on the sofa watching them.

Only after Zhuang Ji had dealt with Zhongli Luo’s injuries could he let out a sigh of relief as if unburdened, and sat on the floor.

He supported his forehead with his hands, and said in a low voice, “There’s only the young master left of the Zhongli Family. If it were possible, I would like to give you the Monster Tower, but I can’t. The Monster Tower is intimately related to the young master…”

Years ago, a Great Demon from inside the Monster Tower cast a curse using the blood of the Zhongli Family, and from then on, the Zhongli Family has been inseparable from the Monster Tower.

No matter how many children the Zhongli Family had, in the end, only one person could survive.

The bloodline of the Zhongli Family has dwindled more and more, and now, there is only Zhongli Luo left of the entire Zhongli Family.

“If that is the case, why keep having children, putting future generations through such tornt?”

Why not end the lineage completely and be done with it.

Zhuang Ji’s voice carried a heavy weight: “If people of the Zhongli Family die out, it will be when the Monster Tower breaks. The Zhongli Family has a mission; even knowing the kind of events the children will face, they still have to leave progeny to ensure the Monster Tower does not break.”

“A mission?” Chuzheng’s tone was cool, “Who gave you this mission? Did you give it to yourselves?”
