Chapter 953: Chapter 953: A Day as a Teacher (22)

Chuzheng didn’t know when it started to rain outside, and it was pouring quite heavily.

Chuzheng pushed Qiao Lian into the bathroom: “Wash up first.”

“Teacher.”

Qiao Lian grabbed her.

Chuzheng noticed Qiao Lian’s fingers were trembling.

Chuzheng turned back: “What’s wrong?”

Qiao Lian raised his head, his eyes dark as ink, and said slowly.

“Teacher, I killed soone.”

“…”

The heavy rain poured down, hitting the glass with a crackling sound.

The boy’s thin silhouette reflected on the glass, while Chuzheng used a towel to dry his hair.

Buzz buzz buzz——

The phone beside Chuzheng lit up.

Chuzheng handed the towel to him and went to answer the call.

Two minutes later, Chuzheng ca back: “The person isn’t dead, they were sent to the hospital.”

The boy’s tense nerves seed to relax: “Teacher…”

“It’s okay now.” Chuzheng held him tightly in her arms.

Qiao Lian carefully raised his hand to embrace her waist.

“I didn’t an it.” His voice was slightly hoarse.

“Mm.”

Hearing Chuzheng’s answer, Qiao Lian looked up: “Do you believe , teacher?”

Chuzheng flicked his forehead: “I believe you. Change your clothes first.”

Qiao Lian was still wearing those wet clothes, and upon hearing this, he released her like he was startled, sitting there at a loss, a flush of redness climbing onto his fair face.

Chuzheng had no n’s clothes, so she took out a shirt that was very neutral, indistinguishable as either gender.

The shirt was also very loose and long enough that it could be worn as an overcoat; it suited Qiao Lian just fine.

“Go wash up.”

Chuzheng pushed him into the bathroom.

“Teacher…”

“I’m right here, don’t be afraid.”

Qiao Lian stared at her for a few seconds, the light in his eyes complicated, before he finally closed the bathroom door slowly.

Chuzheng listened to the sound of water starting inside.

She sighed silently, leaning against the side to wait for Qiao Lian.

What kind of trouble have I gotten myself into?

Qiao Lian soon ca out, bringing with him the lingering warmth of heat.

The boy’s skin was a rosy white from the heat of the water.

The loose shirt wasn’t too big or small, its length covering Qiao Lian’s thighs, revealing his straight, white legs.

A boy, how could he look so beautiful and alluring!!

Chuzheng steadily averted her gaze.

Illegal, illegal, illegal.

She silently repeated to herself as she let Qiao Lian co out.

Chuzheng led him into the bedroom, where the air conditioning was on, and she took a thin blanket to cover his legs.

The boy felt much more at ease holding onto the blanket.

Chuzheng sat in a chair: “Tell , what happened.”

The boy tightened his grip on the blanket.

The one sent to the hospital was his father.

Father Qiao rarely ca ho, but every ti he did, it was to catch him for a lecture.

Today, Father Qiao was drunk, and when he ca back, they had an argunt, and he accidentally hit him.

Father Qiao fell down right then.

Qiao Lian was so scared he ran out.

He skipped over many details, explaining it all in one sentence.

Chuzheng didn’t press for details.

“Why did you co to ?” You’re such a directionally challenged person, how did you even find this place? It’s not logical!

Qiao Lian thought about it confusedly, then slowly shook his head: “I don’t know… By the ti I realized it, I was already downstairs, so I just ca up.”

At first, he was wandering aimlessly.

Sohow, he ended up near the school.

Then he saw two teachers from school and followed them here.

The school’s accommodations were all in one building, and Qiao Lian rembered the number of Chuzheng’s dorm room.

Qiao Lian didn’t even know why he wanted to find Chuzheng.

It was as if a voice inside him was reminding him to co here…

“Teacher… do you hate , not want to co? Then I’ll…”

Qiao Lian said as he began to get up.

Chuzheng waved her hand: “Sit down, sit down.” Don’t expose your legs.

It’s quite distressing.

Chuzheng couldn’t sit still.

She got up to tidy the bed: “You sleep here tonight; I’ll be outside. Call if you need anything.” Chuzheng dropped this sentence and quickly left the room.

Qiao Lian said nothing, watching Chuzheng leave.

He took a look around the room, having been here once before.

The room hadn’t changed much, carrying a unique fragrance typical of a girl’s space.

Chuzheng lay on the sofa, the TV on but silent, only the increasingly wanton sound of rain from outside.

Chuzheng took out her phone.

“Boss?” The call was quickly connected.

“How is he?” Chuzheng asked.

“Still unconscious, but tily hospitalization ensured there’s no major issue,” the person on the other end replied.

“…”

Tily hospitalization ans that if they hadn’t been sent in ti, it could have beco a big issue.

That’s not part of the plot. At that ti, the original host was barely managing herself, and she hadn’t even taken over Class 22 of the senior year,

so back then, after Qiao Lian ran out, Father Qiao might have died or been critically ill due to delayed hospitalization…

Chuzheng pondered for a mont: “Keep an eye on him, and let know imdiately if he calls the police.”

Who knows what Father Qiao might do.

Can’t let him ruin my Good Person Card.

“Okay, Boss.”

Chuzheng hung up the call.

She glanced at the door of the room, where the light was still on.

A few minutes later, the light seeping through the door crack darkened.

Chuzheng retracted her gaze, resting her head on her arm, staring at the silent TV.

Next day.

Qiao Lian opened the door and ca out, having not slept well, dark circles under his eyes.

He glanced at the living room, not seeing anyone, and spotted his clothes on the balcony.

Qiao Lian’s fingers tightened slightly as he walked out of the room.

A breakfast was placed on the dining table along with a sticky note, pinned down by a phone.

Qiao Lian pulled out the sticky note.

——I’m out for a bit, stay at ho obediently, I’ll be back soon.

Qiao Lian looked at the print-like handwriting on the sticky note, montarily dazed.

Ho…

He placed down the sticky note, pulled out a chair, and sat down.

There were several options for breakfast, all of which could be eaten cold, so Qiao Lian randomly picked one to eat.

Suddenly, the phone vibrated, and Qiao Lian glanced at it, seeing Lu Zhou’s na stand out.

It wasn’t his phone…

Qiao Lian raised his hand to slide the answer button.

Lu Zhou’s voice ca from the other end, a bit anxious: “Qiao Lian, where are you? Your house door’s open and there’s blood on the floor. Are you okay?”

Qiao Lian’s expression was blank.

“Qiao Lian?”

“Did you get kidnapped?”

“Damn it, say sothing!!”

“Qiao Lian! Young master Qiao!! Little ancestor! Are you still alive? Were you kidnapped? Is the kidnapper there? I have money, don’t hurt him, I’ll ransom him right away!!”

Qiao Lian was brought back by Lu Zhou’s near-roaring voice.

“I’m fine.”

“Damn, you didn’t say anything!” Lu Zhou cursed angrily.

Qiao Lian didn’t tell Lu Zhou where he was, only said nothing much happened, and the blood on the ground was his own doing by accident.

He hung up the phone and flipped through the phone.

The contacts in the phone were his, but nothing else was in it; it was a new phone.

Qiao Lian searched the room and finally found the discarded phone in the trash; it couldn’t be turned on.

Qiao Lian felt a bit puzzled; although it rained heavily yesterday, it shouldn’t have rendered it inoperable.

He looked towards the clothes hanging on the balcony.

The teacher wouldn’t have thrown them in the washing machine, right?
