Chapter 957: Chapter 957: A Day as a Teacher (26)
Qiao Lian and Lu Zhou parted ways, and Lu Zhou wanted to send him off, but Qiao Lian refused.
The result was——
Qiao Lian got lost.
Qiao Lian took out his phone and instinctively dialed Chuzheng.
But he quickly hung up.
Standing at the crossroads, he stared blankly at the traffic flow.
–
“Qiao Lian, what are you doing standing here?”
Qiao Lian was startled into a cold sweat by this voice, and he slowly turned around. Chuzheng stood a ter away, the neon lights reflecting a world in her eyes.
“Teacher…”
Qiao Lian’s lips parted, and his voice was slightly hoarse.
Chuzheng walked over: “You’ve been standing here for three hours. Is there gold waiting for you to pick it up?”
Even if you’re lost, couldn’t you at least move around a bit? Standing here for three hours, what does that an?
She even thought sothing had happened!
Qiao Lian was taken aback: “How did the teacher know?”
Chuzheng turned her phone, showing a map with a red dot on it.
“Teacher, you…”
Chuzheng approached him.
The familiar scent wafted over, a bit warm, followed by an electric-like current coursing through his body, his heart pounding like a drum.
“Qiao Lian.”
She called him softly.
Qiao Lian froze in place, his limbs seemingly not his own, completely unsure of how to position them.
“Hungry?”
She asked.
Qiao Lian blinked, his expression blank, and only after a mont did he nod.
Chuzheng stepped back slightly and took his hand: “Let’s go eat.”
Under the dim streetlights, Qiao Lian looked at the girl walking ahead of him, the warmth from her hand sohow soothing all the way to his heart.
Qiao Lian gently returned the hand hold.
“Teacher, you put a locator on ?”
“Otherwise, where would I find you if you got lost?” Chuzheng said matter-of-factly.
“Is the teacher really afraid I’ll get lost?”
Chuzheng turned back, the neon lights flashed in her eyes, trailing a streak of light, then plunged into darkness, like a teor across the sky.
She looked at him quietly.
She said, “Of course, you’re mine.”
In her domineering and confident tone, there was inexplicably a hint of pride.
Qiao Lian’s heart trembled at those words.
A buzzing filled his head, and his blood seed to reverse flow.
“The locator is in your phone, you can throw it away if you want.” Chuzheng didn’t plan on hiding it: “But… if you throw it away, next ti I might not be sure where the locator ends up on you.”
“…”
Is the teacher threatening him?
Qiao Lian couldn’t help but feel this wasn’t quite how he imagined it.
Yet he also didn’t find it surprising.
On the bustling street, no one paid them much attention, and the initial tension Qiao Lian felt being led by Chuzheng gradually eased.
In this vast world, not many people would concern themselves with them.
Chuzheng took Qiao Lian to Jin Shi Tian Xiang for a al.
At the entrance, Chuzheng let go of his hand.
The owner of Jin Shi Tian Xiang was waiting for Chuzheng: “This…”
“He hasn’t eaten, get him sothing to eat.”
The owner of Jin Shi Tian Xiang just looked at Qiao Lian curiously a few tis, thinking this young man looked really handso.
Since Qiao Lian wanted to eat, the owner of Jin Shi Tian Xiang had no choice but to secure a private room for them.
“Shall we go to the office to talk?” the owner of Jin Shi Tian Xiang asked tentatively.
“We’ll talk here.”
The owner of Jin Shi Tian Xiang: “…”
Since the big benefactor Chuzheng said so, what else could the owner of Jin Shi Tian Xiang say, so he discussed recent plans and achievents with Chuzheng.
Qiao Lian lowered his head and ate while listening to Chuzheng talk to the owner.
“Have so soup.”
Qiao Lian looked at the bowl pushed in front of him, turned his head to look, and Chuzheng was already bowing her head to sketch sothing, while the owner beside her looked at him, his expression as if he’d seen a ghost.
When Qiao Lian looked over, the owner imdiately lowered his head.
“These areas have issues, have soone look into them, the rest you handle yourself, don’t co asking again.” Chuzheng tossed the docunts back: “I only provide the funding.”
In a nutshell, you can get the money, just don’t co to with problems.
The owner of Jin Shi Tian Xiang: “…”
Aren’t you afraid I’ll scam you!
The owner left the room with the docunts.
The owner hadn’t been gone long when a noisy commotion arose outside.
Qiao Lian continued drinking his soup, undisturbed by the outside noise, leisurely savoring the soup, a pleasant scene.
“Teacher, what are you looking at?” Qiao Lian felt a bit uneasy being stared at by Chuzheng and put down his spoon to ask.
Chuzheng took the opportunity to pat his head: “Can’t I look?”
What about a peek at his Good Person Card?
Better to look than not!
So good-looking, isn’t it for to see?!
The more she thought about it, the more justified Chuzheng felt.
Qiao Lian’s hair was tousled by her patting, his ears turned red, and his cheeks began to heat up.
Chuzheng’s eyes deepened slightly.
“Qiao Lian, how about a kiss?”
Qiao Lian’s pupils widened slightly, and he stood up in a panic, Chuzheng’s hand missing its target.
“Teacher… it’s late, let’s head back.”
He bowed his head and walked out.
The private room door opened, and the noise outside instantly surged in.
Qiao Lian swiftly closed the door again, eyes looking helplessly over: “La… teacher, it’s ng Yu and the others.”
ng Yu?
Chuzheng got up and went over, and Qiao Lian suddenly realized he had nowhere to hide, pressed tightly against the door.
“Are you afraid of being seen by him?” Chuzheng leaned in close to Qiao Lian.
Qiao Lian leaned back, with nowhere to escape.
His heart raced uncontrollably.
Chuzheng stared at him for a few seconds, then pulled him aside: “Wait here, I’ll go have a look.”
Chuzheng opened the door and stepped outside.
The outside corridor was noisy, and many guests had already co out to watch the commotion.
The private rooms at Jin Shi Tian Xiang were by mbership only, aning only mbers could book them.
And most of the ti, they’re hard to book.
The food here is delicious, the environnt great, the service first-rate, and privacy is well maintained, making it a popular spot for hosting guests and business talks.
ng Yu, with so classmates, was facing off against a few other teenagers.
Chuzheng listened for a while.
It seed to be a bloody conflict caused by a private room.
ng Yu had booked a room a long ti ago for dinner, but upon arrival was told there was no space.
They had a reservation, how could there be no space?!
It’s just one private room, not a big deal.
But it’s not about money!
It’s a matter of face.
These hot-blooded youngsters, especially ng Yu, who was raised like a little prince at ho, refused to back down.
So, a commotion broke out.
The waiter tried to diate, suggesting ng Yu and his group dine in the main hall or co back another ti.
Though the attitude was polite, the implications clearly sided with the other party.
“I advise you to leave quickly, don’t cause trouble!”
The other party was about the sa age as ng Yu and his group, but with an arrogant air.
“What’s going on here?”
A man squeezed through the crowd, standing in the middle.
“Manager.” The waiter imdiately sighed in relief: “These guests…”
The waiter explained the situation.
The hall manager listened, frowned then relaxed his expression: “Students, as you can see, we don’t have any rooms left, how about…”
ng Yu interrupted with a cold laugh: “We made a reservation, and now you’re telling there’s no room, quite the business you’re running.”
