A barrage of magical attacks rained down, most of them slamming into the spot where he had just stood. A few spells struck him, and a flurry of ’-1!’ damage numbers floated above his head like a fountain.
After transforming into the bear, his health, which had been a staggering 13,090, plumted rapidly. In an instant, it dropped to just 10%.
Ethan crushed the Advanced Instant Health Potion he had been holding in his mouth, along with a dium Slow Health Recovery Potion. In the system shop, the Advanced Instant Health Potion cost 75 gold coins each. In one gulp, he had just consud over $75,000 in real-world cash!

The potion took effect just as his health dropped to a re 90 points, saving him by the skin of his teeth.
The Advanced Instant Health Potion was a bit of a waste for him at this stage. It could have restored 25,000 health points, but since his maximum health was lower, it only restored 13,000. Even after the instant heal, his health continued to drop.
Finally, after dodging most of the focused attacks, he had taken nearly 17,000 points of damage. If he hadn’t taken the potion, he would have been instantly killed. The only reason he survived was that the attacks hit him in quick succession, giving him just enough ti to drink the potion.

He had allied with nine level-four guilds, setting up over a dozen checkpoints on the mountain path to block any intruders. Yet, a sneaky Druid had still managed to slip through. What were those Priests stationed at the checkpoints doing? He had explicitly ordered them to spam Radiant Illumination on cooldown to reveal any stealth classes. How had this Druid still gotten through?
While the mage was fuming, Ethan was in a dire situation.
Hundreds of Shield Tanks charged at him, followed by a sea of lee classes. These players had just been wiped out by the Snow Ape King during its frenzy, which had unleashed a devastating Thunder Stomp. After respawning, they had been stationed on the outskirts, kept away from the front lines to avoid further casualties. Now, under the orders of their guild leaders, they were closing in on Ethan.
Seeing the hundreds of Shield Tanks and thousands of lee units about to encircle him, Ethan felt a pang of despair. He had been too greedy. If he had taken the first item and left imdiately, the enemy wouldn’t have had ti to surround him.
But his greed for the treasure chest had cost him four seconds, giving the enemy commanders enough ti to coordinate their forces.
Dodging the relentless ranged attacks, Ethan charged forward as a bear, crashing into three Shield Tanks.

But with his incredible speed, Ethan dodged the Shock effortlessly. The Shock skill could knock an opponent back a step, and in this situation, getting hit would an certain death.
Ethan took the Judgnt head-on. Although Judgnt had a brief stun effect, the level difference between Ethan and the Paladin reduced its duration to almost nothing. The stun lasted less than 0.1 seconds before Ethan shook it off.

For a mont, Ethan carved a bloody path through the lee fighters. There was no dramatic scene of enemies flying in all directions—anyone who faced him simply dropped dead.

"Ranged units, attack! What are you waiting for?" roared the mage in the blue robe, his previously calm deanor replaced by the fury of a raging lion.
"Boss, there are too many of our own people around him! We can’t use AoE spells, and single-target attacks can’t hit him!" one of the ranged attackers shouted.
Ethan continued to push toward the outskirts, weaving and dodging single-target attacks from the ranged units. At the sa ti, he selectively avoided crowd-control skills from the lee fighters around him.
He prioritized dodging stuns and other disabling effects, while tanking direct damage attacks. Even in panther form, most attacks only dealt 10-20 points of damage to him.
As long as he avoided being crowd-controlled, he had a chance to break through!
Earlier, he had used his speed boost to escape the Shield Tanks’ encirclent. Now, he was surrounded by lee DPS classes. The Shield Tanks were left behind, unable to catch up due to the chaos of the lee fighters.
These lee units, desperate to claim the 100 gold coin bounty, had beco obstacles for their own allies.
The promise of such a high reward had clouded their judgnt, and they were now blindly charging at Ethan, each hoping to be the one to land the killing blow.
