Level Up Legacy Chapter 1406 Snake Dragon

Arthur stared at Tiara floating in the sky, making the clouds her neighbors and the infinite blue her canvas. He was jealous of her ability to float but realized that they indeed had different abilities inside the Spirits Realm.

The chains of creation floated around him, each bristled with runes that could reshape reality. However, inside the Spirits Realm, there was no reality to affect. His real body was sealed away sowhere while his soul manifested.

"What about my wrath?" asked Arthur with confusion as he looked around.

After an extensive search while Tiara scouted the area for them, he found sothing inside his torso. The golden figure of light had a single black dot inside it, burning like a small fla. Arthur tried to summon his wrath, making the fla burn brighter.

"It seems more ambient here than outside," Arthur muttered as he raised a finger in realization. A small black fla appeared over his fingertip. "It seems to have the sa canceling nature of wrath, but its effects here seem limited."

Arthur wanted to test them out. As he looked around, he found Tiara floating high above him. Arthur was envious again as he looked at the fla and then at Tiara, letting a mischievous grin appear on his face.

"It wouldn't hurt, right?" muttered Arthur as he aid the fla at the floating woman. He turned his finger into a pistol that shot the fla toward the sky, faster than the speed of sound.

A small air current was generated as the fla rushed upward before striking Tiara. Arthur made sure that his wrath wouldn't be enough to hurt her, just to disable any powers she had.

"Ouch!"

Arthur heard a shout from above as he saw Tiara fall to the ground. She was screaming sothing at him as she flailed her arms to resu her flight, but could not. She slamd into the clouds and rushed through them toward the ground.

"Oops," Arthur said as he sent his chain after her, grabbing her by the waist before pulling the elf back. Tiara was dragged by the chains to land next to him on the cloud. Her shoulder had a small black spot that seed to burn. "Are you alright?"

"Did you just shoot ?!" she said while glaring at him. "I saw you do sothing, and the next thing I know, sothing struck . I could have died!"

"If I wanted to hurt you, it would've ended up badly," Arthur said with a grin as he helped her stand. "I'm sorry. Just wanted to test what my wrath does in this place."

"It should not, but it seems that we are still using mana here, albeit unconsciously," Arthur said with a shrug. "My wrath can disable mana or even scatter the elents."

"Wrath doesn't need a chanism. Creation exists without needing a chanism to cause the effects they do, and wrath is the sa. It was created as the antagonist of creation—a fool-proof safety chanism to make sure that soone would stop creation from being monopolized."

"…I had no idea it existed for such a reason," Tiara said with surprise. "Does that an that your wrath exists to stop the gods from gaining too much power?"

"The creature who created this universe didn't wish for another to replace him," Arthur said with a visible grin in his golden figure. "It wanted the choir of creation to sing every song at the sa ti without stop."

"I feel like… this isn't sothing I should know, nor do I need to," Tiara said as she tilted her head in confusion. "I just understand that you should be the good guy, right?"

"That's an oversimplification. For other worlds or the gods, I'm far from being a good guy because I have the power to destroy creation and rebuild it. No single creature should wield this much power, in their opinion."

"I understand how scary that could be," Tiara said. "I did feel scared a little earlier when the unfamiliar feeling escaped my grasp, like my arms had suddenly turned to dust."

"Are you going to fight against now, Tiara?" Arthur asked with a grin. "Should I be concerned that the gods found their vessel?"

"If you strike again with wrath, then you should be," Tiara said with a huff as she floated away. "Follow now! I found a way to descend from the clouds."

Arthur followed after her with a smile. The two of them found a lower cloud, to which they jumped. A cloud shouldn't be capable of holding their weight, but they were weightless. Tiara floated while Arthur used his chains to jump from one cloud to a lower one.

The two of them landed on the summit of a high mountain, which had a winding path connecting to the valleys below. As they stood over the summit, they got a better look at their surroundings.

The Infra Layer was filled with mountain ranges, waterfalls, deep valleys, and small multi-colored clouds that seed to add an ethereal touch to the landscape.

"Is that a dragon?" muttered Tiara with confusion as she pointed toward a long creature that looked like a giant green snake with a dragon head. Arthur followed her gaze to see the creature make the mountains look like tiny rice seeds next to its gigantic form.

"What is that doing here?" Arthur muttered in confusion as he stared at the dragon on the horizon. If it was just a little closer, the two of them would have been suffocated just by the sight of it. "Spirits in this layer should be no higher than Infra-rank."

"Could it be guarding sothing?" Tiara questioned.

"It looks to be a distance away, but we can ask the other spirits as we approach it," Arthur said.

"You want to go straight toward a giant spirit that could flatten us with a breath?" Tiara asked with concern. "We should take a different path."

"Instead of aimless roaming, it's better to have a goal for ourselves," Arthur answered with a grin. "If my guess is right, that dragon should be protecting sothing we could use."
