Reigns narrowed his eyes at the piece of soft wooden string tied around his ankle, wondering when he had even gotten such a thing on himself.
’Just what is this?’
Then a faint whisper echoed in his mind once again.

[That thing’s monstrosity is rising again. You need my help to ta it.]
Reigns grew flustered for a mont before he hurriedly asked.
"How?"
[Use your taming power.]

Reigns almost wanted to curse out loud.
’Lady, I don’t know a shit about my taming powers.’
Right now, Reigns was beyond anxious.
The battlefield around him had already descended into complete chaos while Nyxara and Barbros desperately fought against the abomination.
Yet he still barely understood anything about his own powers.
[Just touch my trunk and try to summon your power. It should co instinctively.]
Still, he decided to give it a try.
Reigns quickly crouched down onto the shattered surface of the canopy and placed both hands against it, hoping for so kind of miracle to happen.
But nothing.
The only thing he could hear was the distant roaring of the battle nearby.
"Now what am I supposed to expect?"
Reigns frowned and started making random strange symbols with his fingers while repeatedly touching the ground.
He even tried focusing harder and harder, imagining sothing magical happening.
But every attempt failed miserably.

’What the hell am I supposed to do?!’
Sweat slowly dripped down his forehead as panic began rising inside him.
Just then, a sudden idea struck him.
Reigns’ eyes widened slightly.
"BLOOM!" he muttered, slamming his palm against the giant surface of the Shattered Canopy.
The very next mont, a blinding flash exploded across his vision.
BAAANG!
Reigns felt his consciousness violently leave his body.
The strange sensation almost made him scream.
It felt as if his soul were floating upward into the sky above the battlefield before suddenly being dragged deep beneath the surface of the Shattered Canopy itself.
A deep, vigorous sensation tingled throughout his entire body.
At the sa ti, it filled him with an overwhelming sense of intimidation and strange euphoria all at once.
[You finally did it.]
Reigns blinked in confusion.
When he opened his eyes again, he suddenly found himself standing in a strange dark space behind the enormous spirit of the Shattered Canopy.
The gigantic tree spirit towered above him silently while countless glowing roots spread through the darkness like veins.
Reigns swallowed nervously.
"Now what?"
The calm voice echoed once more.
[Now let borrow your power.]
"My powers?"
Reigns hadn’t even finished his sentence when several giant roots suddenly erged from the darkness.
SWOOSH!
The thick roots wrapped tightly around his arms, waist, and legs before lifting him slightly into the air.
"Huh?! Wait!"

Nyxara slid backward across the shattered canopy as she blocked several dark tendrils with her greatsword.
The impact sent violent vibrations through her arms.
The giant abomination had beco even more terrifying after its transformation.
Its massive body continued swelling and twisting unnaturally while countless bloody tendrils lashed around wildly across the battlefield.
SCREEEEEECH!
The horrifying screams from the countless faces covering its body echoed nonstop throughout the shattered canopy.
Barbros roared loudly and charged forward once more.
The glowing beast tattoos across his body shone brightly while the illusory figures of giant animals continued moving around him.
BANG!
He smashed apart several tendrils with one heavy punch before grabbing another thick tendril with both hands.
The muscles in his arms bulged violently under the strain.
"GET DOWN!"
With a furious roar, Barbros slamd the giant tendril downward, ripping apart chunks of the flesh from the abomination along with it.
Black blood exploded everywhere.
anwhile, Nyxara appeared from the side once again like a blue flash.
Her cold eyes remained completely emotionless.
SLASH!
Her greatsword hacked through several screaming faces at once.
The severed heads fell onto the shattered wood while dark blood froze around the wounds.
But the abomination suddenly let out another horrifying scream.
SCREEEEEECH!
Hundreds of dark tendrils instantly shot toward Nyxara and Barbros at the sa ti like a raging storm.
Nyxara narrowed her eyes and spun her sword rapidly.
CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!
Ice exploded around her as she sliced apart the incoming tendrils one after another.
Barbros, on the other hand, simply smashed through them using brute force.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
Every punch exploded loudly like thunder.
Still, the tendrils continued multiplying endlessly.
The battlefield slowly started turning worse once again.
Reigns, who was standing far away, suddenly felt the entire shattered canopy trembling beneath him.
RUMBLE!
The vibration spread violently throughout the battlefield.
The surviving warriors imdiately lost their balance while several broken branches collapsed from above.
"What now?!" one of the guards shouted nervously.
Then suddenly...
The giant Shattered Canopy moved.
CRAAAAACK!
The enormous ancient tree let out a deep groaning sound as the thick branches around the battlefield slowly began twisting and writhing like giant living snakes.
Everyone froze in shock.
Even the abomination paused for a brief mont.
Then countless of those giant roots and branches suddenly shot upward from every direction.
SWOOOOOSH!
The thick wooden branches imdiately rushed forward and wrapped around the abomination’s giant tendrils.
Several roots pierced through the shattered ground before tightly binding the creature’s lower body.
The abomination let out a violent screech and began struggling.
SCREEEEEECH!
Its countless tendrils lashed around wildly in every direction as it tried to tear apart the branches.
The Shattered Canopy itself continued moving.
More and more giant vines erged from below and wrapped tightly around the creature.
CRACK! CRACK! CRACK!
The entire battlefield shook violently as the massive abomination was slowly dragged downward toward the shattered canopy itself.
Nyxara imdiately realized the opportunity.
"Chief Barbros!" Reigns called out.
The giant chief instantly understood the intent.
He let out a loud roar before grabbing several bound tendrils and pulled them downward with monstrous strength.
The beast tattoos across his body glowed even brighter as he used even more strength.
BOOOOM!
The abomination’s massive body was dragged lower once again.
Nyxara rushed forward at terrifying speed as icy mist exploded around her greatsword.
The freezing aura surrounding her beca even colder.
Then she swung downward with all her strength.
SLAAAAASH!
A massive frozen cut exploded across the abomination’s chest while ice rapidly spread over its restrained body.
The giant creature scread violently as the Shattered Canopy continued binding and dragging it downward like an ancient prison that simply refused to let it escape.
