110: Chapter 98 Rabid Dog 110: Chapter 98 Rabid Dog Gu Shen was not drunk.

From start to finish, he had been completely sober.

So that row of people by the street, from the mont they appeared to the mont they stopped, every single word they uttered, he heard them all very clearly.

The man who was surrounded and fussed over clearly didn’t belong to the old district from his flashy clothes…

He must be a big shot who lived a life of luxury in the core areas of Da Du, because his every word and look conveyed disdain, belittlent, and contempt for the lower class.

But such people were not new to Gu Shen.

What is this…

humiliation, slander, mockery?

If he cared, then they all counted.

But Gu Shen never cared.

He had no ti, no energy, and no capacity to care.

So he might as well assu soone had just farted by his ear, and the wind would disperse it naturally.

He patted Crow on the back with a composed expression, “Let’s go.”

“Wait…”

Song Ci, with his bulky motorcycle helt, finally caught his breath.

The alcohol from Lion Awakening Wine spread throughout his body, reaching the Heavenly Spirit, making him dizzy; he could barely straighten his waist by leaning on the wall: “What did that son of a bitch just say?

Did he insult us?”

Crow’s voice was loud and husky.

His voice imdiately drew the attention of the group across the street.

“…”

The cowboy old man squinted his eyes and leisurely exhaled a puff of smoke.

Just now, being constantly suppressed by a higher level of Extraordinary Power in the abandoned factory, he felt a fire of anger suppressed in his heart.

And now, he just happened to see a drunkard disrespecting him…

He silently picked up his shotgun and walked toward the pair of drunks.

Zhao Qi smiled without stopping him.

Now he was in no hurry to leave, crossing his arms and leaning leisurely against the wall, the faint smile on his face, quietly waiting for the drama that would soon unfold…

Dealing with trash, beating strays, those were things beneath him, just because it would dirty his hands.

Gu Shen frowned slightly, watching calmly as the figure from the far end of the alley approached.

True to Da Du’s nature, it had all kinds of people; this cowboy man, with his pipe in his mouth, made no effort to hide the big shotgun he was carrying on his shoulder…

That shotgun gave off an extrely oppressive feeling, and the Chi Huo between his brows even had a strong impulse to erge.

Trouble had found him.

“Tsk tsk…

A Transcendent, huh…”

Even in his drunken state, Crow’s innermost fighting consciousness was still alert.

He was a warrior to his bones, and even if he was so drunk he was unconscious, he would never forget the instincts of fighting and struggling.

The cowboy frowned, believing the sight of himself with a shotgun should sufficiently intimidate most drunks.

He believed when he pressed the barrel of the gun to the drunk’s head, even a drunkard who had consud a ton of alcohol would sober up instantly.

He raised the gun.

The silent barrel rested against the rough motorcycle helt.

“Ah ha…

buddy…

don’t point that thing at …”

Unexpectedly, even with the shotgun pressed to his head, the drunk on the other side remained calm with a friendly tone, “You know, the East Continent Federal laws clearly state that good citizens aren’t allowed to carry guns in public.”

The cowboy coldly said, “Do you think I look like a good citizen?”

“Hmm…

fair point.”

Crow reached out and grasped the barrel, slowly moving it aside, and spoke in a leisurely whisper, “This is loaded with 12-gauge red-silver bullets, right?

Better not have an accidental discharge, because I’m not joking…

it could kill soone.”

The cowboy was montarily stunned.

From the mont Crow’s finger touched the barrel, a huge pressure spread from the gun to his body.

It was like a pair of huge hands were pressing down on his shoulders, the heavy pressure made him feel as if he was sinking into the mire, and the finger resting on the trigger couldn’t move even a milliter…

No, it wasn’t just that he couldn’t pull the trigger, he felt as though even breathing had beco difficult.

Damn it!

He looked at the man in front of him with alarm, but could only see the drunken yet smiling eyes behind the motorcycle helt.

This was a Transcendent…

and a very powerful one at that!

From the perspective of his accomplices at the other end of the alley, everything the cowboy did seed normal.

The gun was already at the drunkard’s head, what could possibly go wrong?

Crow shakily extended a finger, pointing toward the man surrounded by the crowd in the distance.

Drinking too much was indeed harmful; the figure of that man was a blur in his eyes, and after pointing a few tis, he wasn’t sure if he had gotten it right.

Song Ci mumbled unclearly, “Rember what I just said?

That guy must be a big shot; it would feel so good to land a punch on his face.”

Gu Shen looked at him with a complex expression.

“Want to hit him?” Crow grinned, suggesting in a guilty whisper, “The kind where we hit and run.”

People like Crow had a mysterious charm about them; they could run through the old district in flip-flops like an ostrich, or use their fists to smash in the teeth of those who slandered them to their face.

He lived a life that defied the well-ordered structure of Da Du and the various rules and regulations.

If he couldn’t change the environnt, then he’d simply stick up a big middle finger to those at the very top of Da Du’s social pyramid with his actions.

A punch in the face of a big shot.

What would shatter wasn’t just a few teeth.

But it was the rules that towered above all.

Gu Shen fell silent for a mont, and as the old cowboy approached, perhaps no more than ten steps away, he asked himself a question.

Had there ever been a mont when he had felt the sa impulse as Crow, the urge to smash his fist into the face of so deeply detested big shot?

Perhaps the Lion Awakening Wine was not entirely ineffective.

At least at this mont, Gu Shen felt as if a pair of eyes that had never been opened before were now awake within his body, his blood turned scorching hot and boiling, it was as if a lion had awakened inside him.

So the young man asked softly, “Can we beat them?”

Crow responded cheerfully, “Of course.”

Gu Shen then asked, “Can we get away?”

Crow laughed heartily, “Of course!”

“Then…”

Gu Shen honestly said, “I want to give it a try.”

The mont his words hit the air,

Crow suddenly crouched and rose up, landing a heavy punch on the cowboy’s chin.

The shotgun trigger was difficult to pull at that mont.

A loud bang shattered the silence of the night, and the large caliber bullet that roared out of the barrel deviated from its original course, whistling past Song Ci’s motorcycle helt, smashing a nearby street lamp into pieces.

Fragnts of the lampshade scattered all over the sky as a man flew up like a sandbag, blood and teeth spraying out of his mouth alongside the shards.

This scene shocked Zhao Qi and the accompanying Transcendents to their core.

“Get in the car.”

Crow straddled the motorcycle, twisted the throttle to the max, and the off-road tires roared furiously on the ground like a wild horse that could bolt at any mont.

Gu Shen reacted very quickly, hopping onto the back seat as Crow spoke, and with the broken light scattering around them, the front half of the powerful red motorcycle rose high, heading straight for the small wall at the corner of the alley—

“Quick—protect—”

Zhao Qi’s voice had just begun.

The word “” hadn’t even been spoken.

All that was left before him was a vast black shadow.

It was a gigantic heavy-duty motorcycle that covered almost all of Zhao Qi’s field of view.

Everything happened too fast; no one could have imagined that a drunkard, once he had found his direction, could mastermind such a precise escape route.

Soone drew their long knife, ready to strike back, only to be kicked into the air by the inebriated rider the next mont.

The kick packed more power than the red-silver bullet of a shotgun, blowing a whole wall to rubble, and the knife-wielder lost consciousness, half-embedded in the broken wall.

Recalling the fate of the cowboy, everyone was stunned.

Mr.

Zhao had called the drunk a stray dog, but now it was clear this was an outright mad dog.

And so, a sadly ironic scene unfolded—

Mr.

Zhao’s bodyguards in the old night city, who were “loyally” brought along, hardly any dared to risk their lives to block the motorcycle in a crucial mont.

The high-pitched roaring motorcycle inexorably plowed ahead.

Figure after figure was sent flying.

When brave n et on a narrow path, the courageous wins; those who hesitate are undeserving of victory in the duel of the narrow alley!

In the end, only a lonely and helpless Zhao Qi remained, watching the massive black shadow bear down on him with anger, horror, and fear…

In front of him, finally, appeared a fist.

He felt sowhat relieved that it wasn’t the punch of that monstrous drunkard mad dog, but rather from the young man at the back of the motorcycle…

that young man with a face that read naïve, amiable, and eager to try.

So things you can’t resist; you just have to accept…

The young man’s fist didn’t look very big, it probably wouldn’t be that painful, right?

With a “boom”!

Zhao Qi felt like his cheek had been struck by a sledgehamr, his consciousness carved out of his body, as if he could feel every bone trembling, his facial muscles twitching.

The fist wasn’t big.

But it was very hard.

It seed like he was flying, at least his feet were off the ground.

Floating up lightly.

Falling down hard.

The noisy street fell into a profound silence at the last roar of the throttle, as the old city district residents cursed in anger.

The two mad dogs sped away into the distance.

“How does it feel?!”

Song Ci twisted the throttle to the limit, contorting his body, and happily whistled, celebrating the victory of this wild revelry.

The old city at night had been left far behind, the shattered alley lights, and the old, mottled walls all disappeared into the night, as the motorcycle rode toward the deserted outskirts, silent as if it was heaven.

The young man in the back seat remained silent for a long ti.

Gu Shen just quietly looked at his fist, which had traces of blood on it…

not his own, but that of the wealthy young master.

He had used Chi Huo to wrap his fist.

Before striking, he had considered the trouble his punch might cause.

Chi Huo had burnt away any biological traces that might have been left at the scene, Crow’s vomit, as well as fingerprints left inadvertently.

Fought, fled, never to be seen again.

“You were right…”

Gu Shen exhaled softly and smiled, “Beating the powerful does feel exhilarating.”
