135: Chapter 123 Long Night (Part 1) 135: Chapter 123 Long Night (Part 1) “Boom!”

Mud splattered everywhere.

On narrow paths, the braver wins.

Although the man holding the pale fla roared loudly, he chickened out at the last mont, rolling on the spot to dodge the big wheel of the vehicle in front, and landed heavily in the muddy water.

No one knew better than he did the horsepower of his heavy motorcycle; if hit squarely…

the following year’s date would be his anniversary.

“Target spotted, target spotted…”

Wu Yan hurriedly rolled over, grasping the communicator ready to report the location first-hand, but imdiately after, two blinding beams of Blazing Light converged, occupying his entire field of vision.

That madman…

after hijacking the vehicle, he didn’t flee but instead turned around and ca back.

Had he gone insane?!

“Buzz—”

The Blazing Light rendered his entire vision white; the youth driving the heavy motorcycle, with a light burning fiercer than the headlights between his brows, stared calmly at the man, even though the latter’s vision was now a complete defeat, unable to see his own appearance.

Just like an Emperor overlooking his subjects.

An Emperor gazing down upon the commoners.

Just for a mont.

Chi Huo invaded.

It wasn’t a fight of equal force —

The Transcendent from the Deep Sea Third Layer with natural powers was powerless under the soaking of Gu Shen’s spirit, not even managing to resist for a second before losing consciousness.

The heavy motorcycle sped along the river bank road.

The youth hunched down, with the fierce wind howling by his ears; the real-ti map in his glasses updating, all the red dots were left behind him, but there was one big cross, bringing with it a suffocating sense of death.

Chen i was chasing after him.

This was truly an absurd situation…

From before until now, Chen i hadn’t even seen him, but what was outrageous was that this man, like an unshakable leech, clung tenaciously to him.

“It is now November 25th, ten fourteen PM… there’s one hour and forty-two minutes left.”

Chu Ling sighed softly.

“Why sigh?” Gu Shen drove intently, with Chi Huo’s blessing, the heavy motorcycle’s turbo engine ran at full load, reaching a speed of four hundred kiloters per hour.

“Although he hasn’t closed the distance…

with this trend, it’ll be difficult for you to shake off Chen i,” Chu Ling said with so concern.

“Are you planning to circle around Da Du?

At this rate, you’ll never be able to shake him off.”

“You said before, to use the fastest vehicle, to flee to the safest place.”

Gu Shen’s expression was calm, “I’m going to that safe place now.”

In fact, looking all over Da Du, there weren’t many places that could be considered safe at this mont, especially since he was branded as a suspect in the invasion of South Bay Building—if caught by Chen i, he’d likely be disposed of without much effort.

The lady and Cui Zhongcheng may well be people living in the light of Da Du.

But soone like Chen i, a top enforcer dwelling in the darkness of the night, was no different in nature from the Crow… On many occasions, they could ignore all rules, just like how Song Ci had punched Chen San’s nephew into a state of helplessness, now still lying in the ICU.

If caught by Chen i, none of his identities would matter.

Unable to shake off Chen i…

the only place that could be deed “safe” was one alone.

Chu Ling seed puzzled.

So the other end of the earphone fell into brief silence.

“During the days when you disconnected, I made a friend who’s quite a fighter,” Gu Shen spoke quietly.

“Sincere Heart Association, Song Ci.”

The pause of a few seconds was probably Chu Ling looking up the information.

“The Crow…

is your friend.” Chu Ling’s voice carried a hint of surprise.

“Yeah.”

Gu Shen raised his head, looking into the night mist at the flock of crows startled into flight over the distant river surface.

The quiet night beca noisy, and Gu Shen’s expression grew sowhat contemplative.

“He should be fighting on the river bank by now, but those guys aren’t the opponents he’s looking for.”

“I wonder if the guy I’m bringing later… will be a scare, or a pleasant surprise?”

Gu Shen chuckled self-deprecatingly, muttering, “Whether the river bank is safe tonight depends on whether it’s Crow’s fists that are harder, or Chen i’s.”

The Heavenly Curtain enveloped the sky, stretching almost halfway across the river.

The river water churned and exploded, countless droplets flying into the air, within the domain of the Heavenly Curtain they froze into beads, while those outside sprayed onto the cold river surface, transforming into vast swaths of pale mist.

At this mont, there was a bizarre spectacle on the river.

If one hadn’t awakened their Extraordinary Ability and couldn’t use spiritual power to discern anomalies, they wouldn’t have the chance to witness it.

Dozens of motorcycles followed one after another, charging through the tumultuous river tide, their tires striking the water’s surface.

Within the domain of the Heavenly Curtain, droplets seed to beco extrely solid, resisting the high-temperature burn and casting off so of the spray as gaseous fog, while the rest defiantly froze into ice, carrying the motorcade’s advance.

The river tide heaved.

The ice crystals shattered.

Leading the charge was a man holding a knife.

The way he gripped the blade was exceedingly strange, his breath concealed, shoulders drawn in, like a woman, very delicate, walking with quick, short steps, yet his speed was incredibly fast, and the headlights could barely catch a glimpse of his garnt’s hem.

Even so, he still couldn’t catch up with the figure at the very front of the river tide, which might break away from the Heavenly Curtain at any mont.

Wu Yong suddenly stopped.

He furrowed his brows.

Because the man who could escape the range of the Heavenly Curtain at any mont wasn’t running anymore.

The river tide rolled, and soone stood atop the great river, their feet skimming its surface, like a solitary leaf on a boat, bare-handed and dressed in a lightweight shirt, standing tall amidst the mist, yet seeming like a towering mountain.

“Not running anymore?”

Wu Yong let out a cold laugh.

A laugh ca from the distant river surface.

“I’m not fleeing; I’m waiting for soone.”

Crow spoke softly, his voice piercing through the river fog, lingering long, “Straight down the river bank, it’s South Bay soon.”

“South Bay…”

Wu Yong frowned; this was where his group had set off from.

“I have a friend who should be around South Bay by this ti,” Crow said indifferently.

“If he runs into trouble… he should co to .

It’s an easy place to find.”

“You still have the mood to care about soone else’s trouble?” Wu Yong slowly clenched the hilt of his knife.

“You don’t understand.

His trouble…

is my trouble,” Crow replied with a chuckle, shaking his head.

He looked up at the azure Heavenly Curtain, sighed, and said, “Another reason for choosing this place… it’s sparsely populated here.

When fighting breaks out, there’s no need to worry about being seen.”

Wu Yong’s eyelid twitched, he hadn’t had ti to respond—

The next mont!

Crow raised a hand, aiming at the glowing Heavenly Curtain beside him.

“Boom—”

One punch!

Just one punch!

The layer of azure arc-light that was the Heavenly Curtain bent and bulged from the punch, nearly shattering into pieces!
