West Continent.

Light City.

The Holy Mountain stands tall, it is said this is the Land of Sunset, where boundless blazing light rises in the east and sets in the west, ultimately converging in Light City. In this world, daylight always fades, but only here, there is no night.

Red clouds enshroud, the lake beneath the Holy Mountain is tinted like red crystal, reflecting the shimring ripples.

In the distance, an elderly servant bows towards the lake.

"My Lord, the Goddess has escaped, the Holy Judges have already assembled..."

His voice slowly spreads.

A lean figure clad in red armor sits cross-legged in the center of Red Lake, more vivid and brilliant than the sky or the lake.

The gentle breeze stirs, but the water remains calm.

Under the caress of the winds from all directions, ripples arise on the lake, yet around him the waves remain undisturbed, as if an invisible barrier shields him—

The eye sockets of that ancient armor gradually emit a blazing light.

Great Knight of Light City, Jia Wei, opens his eyes, speaking slowly, his voice unexpectedly young and magnetically resonant.

"Wait a bit longer."

He has been sitting above Red Lake for several days.

These days, Jia Wei’s actions have been simple, just waiting.

He waits for the response from Central City, for a reply from Zhu Xue... and for the Empress’s stance.

The Goddess committed a transgression, ordered confined by the Lord Divine in the city, her escape not only provokes divine power, but more importantly... this is a Divine Domain, Jia Wei truly cannot fathom how ng Xizhou managed to escape from the Lord Divine’s grasp.

Is it [Gate]?

During this ti, the Holy Judges have scoured the entire Light City, yet found no suspicious [Gate], nor any suspicious Transcendent aura fluctuations.

The last place ng Xizhou appeared was this lake.

And despite sitting cross-legged here for days, he’s found nothing.

For him, besides bringing back the Goddess, the most important thing is to understand... how she left.

Otherwise, if there is a first ti, there will be a second.

Jia Wei lowers his head, calmly gazing at the Red Lake beneath him... The water is so vivid because it is too clear, embodying countless pure lights, thus perfectly reflecting the sky filled with red clouds at this mont.

Also reflecting a rusted steel helt.

He extends his iron hand, touching the lake water, this ti, the smooth mirror-like surface forms ripples, the "self" on the other side of the lake also extends a hand, silently pressing them together.

The water ripple gradually diminishes.

Until it nearly ceases.

"Lord Jia Wei, there is another piece of news..."

After a short silence, the elderly servant softly speaks: "We lost the ’Spiritual Link’ with the Blessed Son, he has completely vanished from the perception of Light City, this is unprecedented."

The water that was nearly calming to zero, at this mont, becos chaotic again.

Jia Wei raises his head.

The heavy armor hides his face, but the astonishnt in his eyes is clearly visible.

Under the sky, all is within the Light.

Those possessing "Blessing", wherever they go, unless crossing the giant wall to that unknown, foggy filled [Old World]... how else could they lose sight?

"The Blessed Son went to Duolu River Disaster Realm."

The elderly servant speaks slowly: "It is said that place is the old land trodden by the Netherworld King..."

Netherworld King.

Hearing these two words.

Jia Wei briefly loses composure, a mont later, a flicker of icy killing intent passes in his eyes!

Light City is synonymous with holiness and purity, Holy Judges are emissaries of justice and light, and he as the Great Knight of Light City, leader of the Holy Judgnt Team... what he detests most, is the dark, the cold, the uncanny, the ominous.

The Netherworld King, embodying all these negative words in one.

Twenty years ago, Light City once erupted in war with that Netherworld King.

Jia Wei still rembers the scenes on that battlefield...

Severed limbs.

Blood flying.

Those who fell, stood up again.

Transcendents who were once comrades, turned their blades against him.

And the one who committed such actions, against the iron laws of the Extraordinary Realm, was the Netherworld King, using the "Power of Fire", he breached the taboos of life and death, madly manipulating the life and death of Transcendents, pulling the entire punitive regint dispatched by Light City into his Spiritual Divine Domain.

Rather than a war.

It’s more apt to say... it was a massacre.

The Holy Judges of that ti all fell into hell, though in the end saved by the Light God’s Seat... every candidate who fell suffered trendous blows, those dying in the Netherworld King’s hands, instead found it a relief.

Because those truly alive, the survivors, upon returning to reality, gradually understood, that "living" was the true tornt.

That war, beca a nightmare.

Incessantly replaying in the mind.

Even if the Light God’s Seat used great power to eradicate these nightmares... what was removed was rely the spiritual poison of the Netherworld King’s Spark, those images deeply rooted in the Spirit Sea, seemingly only in death, can one be freed.

After the war ended, Jia Wei took a long ti, only under the healing of light did he walk out from the shadow.

And it was only later that he realized that the long massacre encountered by the Holy Judge back then in the Spiritual Divine Domain of the Netherworld King... was rely an instant in the real world.

The speed at which the Light God’s Seat acted was already very fast.

But it was an instant.

That massacre seed to have lasted for a century.

That battle left irreparable aftereffects.

To this day, the "images" left by the Netherworld King’s massacre back then still linger in his mind. Only by being wrapped in this cold armor and bathing in the light can he feel a little of the reassuring warmth...

He is in the light, but his heart is in Hell.

These years, every mont, has been tornt.

But fortunately, not long after that battle, the Netherworld King vanished.

All parties across the Five Continents, even the highest seat of the Council, tacitly accepted the fall of this God’s Seat.

Jia Wei constantly comforted himself that the efforts of the Holy Judge back then were not in vain, and Lord of Light Divine severely injured that evil dark existence... Being able to uproot such darkness made any sacrifice worthwhile.

It’s a pity.

"Netherworld King’s Spark" has always been lost outside.

Back then, searching for the Spark in the [Old World], the Holy Judges he led were the most diligent.

After suffering severe injuries, Jia Wei’s greatest motivation to continue was to strike at the darkness... Finding the "Netherworld King’s Spark" and bringing it back to Light City for the God’s Seat to destroy was his greatest wish.

But he never expected.

The darkness never disappeared.

Twenty years later, the Netherworld King unexpectedly reappeared...

Although there were reports from Changye of the Netherworld King and Gu Changzhi joining forces to kill the God of Wine’s Seat, Jia Wei could be sure that the Netherworld King was no longer as strong as before. Twenty years ago, he saw clearly the scene where the Netherworld King was severely injured by the Light God’s Seat.

In that battle, the Netherworld King’s spirit nearly collapsed, and the spark was almost out of his body!

Physical wounds are easy to heal, but spiritual injuries are difficult to cure.

Even for a "God," after twenty years of recovery, it may not be possible to heal that spiritual trauma!

And after the cetery incident, the East Continent very decisively handed over the "Wine God’s Spark," which further confird Jia Wei’s suspicions... He believed that the Netherworld King’s move might have exhausted his last reserves.

The newly joined God’s Seat Bai Shu, and a nearing-depletion Netherworld King, even if joined forces, might not be able to contend with the most unfathomable Sky Divine Throne among the seven gods.

So they handed over the Spark, each taking a step back.

And after the East Continent fell into calm, the Netherworld King naturally would hide, preventing the outside world from tracking his whereabouts, and especially preventing another hunt from the Light God’s Seat. His choice was very correct, and his ans were very clever.

These days, the Holy Judges of Light City have tried every possible way but still can’t find the precise location of the Netherworld King.

Nor have they identified the existence of "Angel Envoys" who received gifts from the Netherworld King.

The Netherworld King, who disappeared for twenty years.

Appeared just once, then vanished again.

This fleeting mont... even makes one wonder if the Netherworld King is really still alive?

Until the intelligence from the Duolu River ca to Light City, did the Holy Judges finally affirm that this eerie God’s Seat was not so unobtrusive.

By using hypnosis on Transcendents leaving the Disaster Realm task, they discovered that the Duolu River had a high degree of similarity to the "Nether River" rumored to have been forged by the Netherworld King twenty years ago.

Twenty years, many people aged, more people died.

Many people no longer know what the "Nether River" is.

But Jia Wei not only knows, but also rembers very clearly... back then, it was because of the "Nether River" that the Holy Judges gathered unto death.

This is a taboo item that transcends the definition of "sealed items."

In the records of successive generations of Light City, the Gospel Box split into seven Sparks, bringing light, warmth, and hope to the Five Continents. But only the seventh, as a product of the balancing scales of fate, absorbed ominous, disaster, and curse.

That seventh Spark is the Netherworld King’s Spark.

Due to the special nature of the Netherworld King’s Spark, all previous Netherworld Kings have been jointly overseen by the highest seat. He has no fiefdom, nor a "Divine Domain." What he possesses is rely a Spark, and as the one most prone to ntal issues among the seven gods, he is the leader of the darkness, and the sole entity capable of achieving such divine miracles as reviving the deceased.

In past years, there was once a revered "Netherworld King" who single-handedly blocked a Super S-Class Source Material Storm, ultimately sacrificing outside the giant wall.

But more often than not, this Spark remains unattained.

The reason is simple...

The weight of this Spark is simply too heavy, and all the masters throughout history have been tornted by the curse of fate.

No one ends well.

And throughout, the existence of Light City has been on the side of sanctioning the "Netherworld King."

Light and darkness are destined to fulfill and destroy each other... The holders of these two Sparks, their spirits, will have a faint connection.

Once the Netherworld King’s ntal state shows a problem, the Light God’s Seat will inevitably be the first to know.

Twenty years ago.

The Netherworld King decided to forge the "Nether River" to achieve the eternal life of the deceased... This was supposed to be a "seamless" action.

Unfortunately, due to the special spiritual connection between the two Sparks, the Netherworld King’s insane thoughts eventually descended into the Spirit Sea of the Light God’s Seat through an unknown Dream!

After the judgnt.

Light shattered, darkness dwindled.

And that Nether River was completely broken, subrged in the unknown dust of history.
