Nathan Foster listened to South Grant finish speaking, then cupped her face and gave a wicked smile.
"Of course, your trap is one I’m going to fall into."
South Grant: "..."
Why does that sound so dirty?
To be honest, anyti South Grant heard Nathan Foster speak, she felt it was quite suggestive.
She looked up at the teasing smile in Nathan Foster’s eyes and instinctively pushed him away.
In her past life, whenever he showed this kind of smile, it was usually because he wanted to flirt with her.
At that ti, South Grant felt like she was Nathan Foster’s pet—teased when he was in a good mood and tossed around in bed when he wasn’t.
So when South Grant saw him smile like that, she subconsciously wanted to ignore him.

"Two years ago, a female artist under Stellaris committed suicide, leaving behind a 20-page letter. Her parents took that letter and sued Miles Grant and Henry Grant in court. However, Miles Grant squashed the case by paying off the dia, claiming the letters were baseless and without evidence, so the case was dismissed. After failing to get justice, the artist’s parents were continuously harassed by Miles Grant through various ans until they were forced to leave Aethelgard, and the matter was dropped."
South Grant ca to life upon hearing this and turned to Nathan Foster.
"Were you talking about Zoe Jarvis?"
Nathan Foster looked at South Grant, frowning slightly.
"You knew about this?"
South Grant learned of these events in her past life.
Years later, Zoe Jarvis’ cousin exposed the incident.
He only said the cause of Zoe Jarvis’ death was not as simple as the official explanation of depression-induced suicide.
However, the news only stirred attention for a few days; before Zoe Jarvis’ cousin could reveal the real reasons, the Grant Family paid a hefty price to silence him.
Later, Zoe’s cousin told the dia he was just joking and didn’t expect such public interest, ultimately apologizing to the public.
After that, the matter fizzled out, and nobody pursued it further.
Despite so gossip, there was no substantial evidence, and no one could do anything against the Grant father and son.
But South Grant knew the situation wasn’t simple, and when she sought to reconnect with Zoe’s family to leverage the incident to topple Miles Grant and Henry Grant, the Jarvis Family seed to have vanished, impossible to reach.
She hadn’t expected Nathan Foster to know about this so early on.
"Stellaris is owned by the Grant Family, and Zoe Jarvis was one of their artists, so of course, I’m sowhat aware. The entire company says Zoe Jarvis committed suicide due to depression, but is there more to the story?"
Nathan Foster glanced at South Grant and saw the genuine confusion in her eyes.
Miles Grant was strong enough to bury the details of this matter completely, so it was understandable for South Grant not to know.
"Zoe Jarvis didn’t commit suicide due to depression; she couldn’t bear the humiliation and chose to end her life by slitting her wrists."
"Couldn’t bear the humiliation?" South Grant was taken aback for a mont.
"I’ve read the letter she left. Miles Grant ruled Stellaris, and Henry Grant was seen as the Crown Prince of the company. When he expressed interest in Zoe Jarvis, the entire company envied her. But Zoe never imagined that her romance with Henry Grant would kickstart her descent into hell."
