South Grant couldn’t help but glance at Fiona Grant. Did she tell Harold Foster about Shawn Grant bullying her?
While South Grant was hesitating on how to speak, Fiona Grant spoke to Harold Foster:
"Grandfather, I’m just venting to you a bit. After Father passed away and Mother left, the Grant Family didn’t care about us, and people followed suit with their snobbery. But after all, we are the children of the Grant Family. Even if they don’t treat us with kinship, there’s still the kindness of raising us. They can be unkind to , but we cannot repay them with unrighteousness. After all, they are Father’s brothers, and I imagine Father wouldn’t want to see my brother and confronting our uncles even from his resting place."
Hearing Fiona Grant’s words, South Grant realized she hadn’t told Harold Foster anything; she only ntioned how the Grant Family mistreated them siblings.
Fiona Grant was always like this; no one could see through the heart beneath her surface.
She was always so upright and kind, full of a sense of justice, making outsiders think she was a pure, harmless angel repaying evil with good.
South Grant had been deceived by her for many years. If it weren’t for the words she spoke before her death, South Grant might still not see through Fiona Grant’s true nature.
Moreover, at this mont, Fiona Grant’s words were entirely directed against South Grant.
What South Grant was doing was exactly confronting Miles Grant and Shawn Grant, taking back everything from the Grant Family.
But at this ti, Fiona Grant put on a magnanimous face, repaying evil with good, as if saying South Grant was narrow-minded, did not understand kinship or the kindness of upbringing, and was unrighteous.
Fiona Grant was sitting beside Harold Foster at this ti, and Harold Foster patted Fiona Grant’s hand, saying with a pleased expression:
"Our Fiona is a kind child."
South Grant then smiled and said:
"Fiona is young and doesn’t see the treacherous nature of people. She mistook wolves for family, which is why she said such words. Grandfather, you may just hear and ignore it, but don’t take it seriously. The reason the Grant Family tolerated us three staying after Father passed was entirely because of the shares Father left behind. They had no regard for family whatsoever. To seize Father’s shares, Second Uncle and Cousin Henry Grant repeatedly sched together to force out of the Grant Family, and Third Uncle Shawn Grant once..."
As South Grant said this, Fiona Grant took a deep breath, looking at South Grant with a sowhat panicked gaze, afraid she would reveal how Shawn Grant bullied her.
After sneering in his heart, South Grant said disdainfully:
"Shawn Grant also aided and abetted, repeatedly trying to drive us out of the Grant Family. For such so-called family, it’s better to do without."
Harold Foster listened to South Grant’s words, and when he finished, he loudly praised:
"Good! As expected from my grandson, Harold Foster’s grandson. That’s how we should treat such people."
Fiona Grant’s face didn’t look good at this point; South Grant intentionally did the opposite of her.
With South Grant’s words, he had categorized him as soone who couldn’t distinguish right from wrong.
She talked about being young, even though they were the sa age this year, clearly telling everyone she was inferior to him.
Fiona Grant, with her scheming mind, was thinking of how to regain the right to speak, but Harold Foster had already started chatting with South Grant about sothing else.
Fiona Grant watched coldly, thinking she would have plenty of opportunities since she was staying at The Foster Estate in the future.
After dinner, Nathan Foster offered to take South Grant back to the military base, but Harold Foster spoke up:
"Go back by yourself; let South live here, making it convenient for school."
Upon hearing Harold Foster’s words, Nathan Foster placed the car keys back on the table.
"Alright, just as well, there’s nothing much at the military base recently. I’ll stay with you both for a while."
In his heart, South Grant was cheering when Harold Foster spoke.
He initially thought he could get rid of Nathan Foster today, but unexpectedly, Nathan Foster decided to stay.
But it’s probably for the best. Even if he stays, Nathan Foster can’t prevent them from sharing the bed together.
As it turned out, South Grant had thought too simplistically...
