Now, for your reputation and for my innocence, you have to open the closet and let everyone see whether or not there’s soone inside. Who’s lying will be clear, and it’ll provide an explanation for both of us."
"An explanation? Easy for you to say. You throw mud at , and I have to give you an explanation? Am I a fool?" South Grant spoke very rudely, giving Fiona Grant no face at all.
At this mont, Fiona Grant bit her lower lip, looking aggrieved, "I’m doing this for your own good..."
Before Fiona Grant could finish, Harold Foster sternly reprimanded South Grant:
"South, how can you talk to your sister like that? Should she just keep silent, knowing everything? Just watch you mix with disreputable people?"
South Grant instinctively glanced at the "disreputable person" standing aside, and after receiving a cold stare from Nathan Foster, South smiled internally and withdrew his gaze, then said to Harold Foster:
"Grandpa, what if all this is just Fiona’s fabrication? Who will clear my na then? Today, only Sir Keller, Grandpa, and my uncle know about this matter. What if there were others present? If this gets out, you know how damaging rumors can be, Grandpa. It could ruin , ruin my entire life. Have you considered the seriousness of this?"
As soon as South Grant finished speaking, Fiona Grant ca up and interrupted:
"I didn’t make this up. I saw it with my own eyes. When I ca in earlier, I heard a man speaking in the room. Although I couldn’t clearly hear the man’s voice, I’m sure there were two people. That person must be hiding in the closet. Grandpa, if you have my brother open the closet, the truth will be revealed, right?"
Fiona Grant believed her eyes and also her ears.
She was sure that the man was indeed hiding in the closet.
The closet had to be opened to find that man; no matter what South Grant said, others wouldn’t believe him.
At this mont, everyone’s eyes were once again focused on South Grant, because she was standing right in front of the closet.
